    Beautyfull but unsafe

    Randi_B, May 2026
Ramang-Ramang was very beautyfull but the guides (2 + driver) spoke almost no english. They were very nice, but I am not sure that they were official guides. They Didn't have first aid equiptment. My husband fell through a wooden bridge in a ricefield,. The wooden bridge very old and rotten and many boards missing. One Board broke under my husband and with no first aid equiptment it was very difficult to clean the wound and stop the bleeding. I had to take of my blouse to use as bandaid. The firefly cave was very slippery and not easy to get in to or move around. Potentially dangerous to walk. We didn't experience the last of the trip due to my husbands accident, we needed to get back quickly to Makassar for hospital treatment.

    Response from Host, May 2026

We are very sorry for the incident you experienced. The wooden bridge in Rammang-Rammang is indeed in need of renovation, and we truly regret that we did not have a first aid kit with us at that time. We immediately tried to go to the registration area to find first aid assistance. From this incident, we have taken it as an important evaluation and will do our best to improve our service and preparation in the future. Thank you very much for your review and feedback.
