We through enjoyed this tour and the guide was excellent (sorry can’t remember his name, spoke really good English) Went into enough detail and any questions asked by the group he answered with great detail. He certainly knew his stuff.
I wish we knew about the lunch beforehand as we would have done too.
Would recommend and you don’t have to travel miles from Mendoza.

This wine tour was a little disappointing compared to others we did in the area. While we did get some insight into the winemaking process, it didn’t feel as in-depth or engaging — especially as we had just come from a tour led by a winemaker, which really set a high standard.
The guide was involved in the process, but the level of detail and overall delivery didn’t quite match what we were hoping for. As it’s a smaller winery, the experience felt a bit more limited, and unfortunately we didn’t particularly enjoy the wines either.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it didn’t stand out and didn’t feel especially well suited for those looking for a more informative or polished wine tour.

It was a good experience, I wish there was some sort of pick up in the tour. They should also make clear that there was no lunch and if you wanted to buy lunch it would be a separate cost - it would have been good to see some of the grapes and understand the different grapes but we only saw the tanks and barrels :(

The guide Gonzalo was exceptionally knowledgeable, detailing the birth of a classic Malbec Reserva
Grapes per litre important (think 1.4Kg)
1 year in a 10,200 Litre tank (tasting direct from the tank)
1 year in American Oak (Vanilla) and French Oak (Fruit - plums etc)
(tasting direct from the barrel)
Bottled and laid flat for minimum of 3 years
Tasting of final bottle was a 20 year old wine - just WOW

We enjoyed our wine tour with Gonzalo and his explanation of the process of making a truly exquisite wine. We tried six different wines and bought a couple of bottles to take with us. We loved it!

I took the English winery tour and was very impressed. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and spoke very very good English, not to mention there being lots of opportunities for tasting's! I went solo but that wasn’t an issue at all because of the friendly atmosphere created, would definitely recommend!!

Visited this winery and was truly amazed. The service was great and the wines were better. Our group loved the chenin dulce that they serve at the beginning of the trip and the last malbec that they served. Our guide, Cecilia, was spectacular and very informative. We each felt like we had learned something extra at the end of the visit. Overall a 10/10 experience and would do it again.

This is a great bodega to visit while in Mendoza. The atmosphere is quaint and pleasant, and the guided experience was amazing. If I remember correctly, the guide's name was Santiago (apologies if I got your name wrong). He was very knowledgeable and explained things very well and in good detail. I learned a lot about the wine making process. Out of hundreds of bedegas in Mendoza, Bodega Tierras Altas meets a well guided wine tour experience.

This tour is exceptional! The guide is brilliant and as excellent as the wine. Walk, run, or catch an Uber. It’s only 6 miles from Mendoza and the small cost of the tour to taste these wines make it well worth it! They also serve lunch in their onsite restaurant if you find you’re hungry after the tasting.

We had a fantastic time with Antonella for the English tour and I would wholeheartedly recommend this bodega as your first winery stop in Mendoza. Unlike other tours we did, Tierras Atlas teaches you how to taste the wine properly, and lets you taste the wine in different stages of production (fermentation, from the oak barrel, and the final product as a 2005 Reserva). We learnt the most on this brilliant tour and bought a few bottles home too!

We loved our experience at Alta Tierras. While were waiting for the tour, we sat outside in the beautiful garden and were offered a glass of wine in the meantime. We were then picked up by Gonzalo who knew everything and explained it in an understandable manner and at a great pace. Since we were just two people in the tour we had a lot of opportunities to ask questions which Gonzalo could answer all. The tour is suitable for people like us that don’t know much about wine and the process of making it. We would definitely recommend this tour!

We toured this winery on 2/17 and it was wonderful. Gonzalo our tour guide brought the winery to life with his explanations of how the winery was developed and the maturation process. We tased wine from a barrell and from the steel tank. There were 5 tastings and all were fabulous, especially the rose malbec. I booked this because of the good reviews, and I am glad I did. The price is very reasonable and the experience was well worth it. Wine purchases were reasonble as well. They have options for lunch there as well. A nice setting.

Staff was not particularly attentive but guide (Gunzalo) was terrific. A very interesting 1.75-hour tour of a very clean and established facility. Disappointed no dinner option but still we recommend it.

We booked this through trip advisor and requested the English tour of the winery. When we arrived the lady who was running the tour was quite rude and seemed inconvenienced by the fact she had to do the tour in both Spanish and English. Despite this, it was quite interesting and the wine we tried was very nice, we decided to leave a tip but the lady wasn’t very grateful. The winery is also quite hard to reach and is on a very busy main road, so there weren’t many other visitors.
