Nice visit to Langkawi

We arrived via a cruise ship. It’s a long walk off the pier and our driver, Asward, was unable to come into the port to pick us up so we had to walk another 5 minutes to meet him outside the port. After that, everything was great. We had a mangrove boat tour where we saw eagles and monkeys. We walked through a cave and visited a fish farm. We then went to Durian Falls. The hike up the hill was a bit tough in the heat and humidity, but the views were great. We ended the day at an artisan market. Asward is a nice young man who was eager to answer any questions we had and he’s a good driver.

Beautiful Langkawi

A huge thank you to Azri who was a great tour guide and driver. He went out of his way to explain history and culture to us, and provided a safe and secure atmosphere for our family, especially our three year old son. The tour itself was beautiful - the waterfalls were stunning and the mangrove tour provided many memories, from the monkey feeding and bat cave exploration to a wonderful fresh fish lunch. The tour offered flexibility in location/itinerary and time spent at each place. As advertised, the mangrove and waterfall had extra fees that were not included in the tour price. The waterfall extra charge of 10 MYR per person was explicit, however, the price for the mangrove portion ranged from about 500-800 MYR. It was well worth the additional cost, but it would be helpful for future travelers for this cost to be more explicit in the description. All in all, a wonderful tour and driver that we would recommend to any traveler.

The trip was awesome, but be aware the cost is only for the driver and the car. All boat trips and waterfalls are extra and cost me quite a bit more than expected, but was well worth it. No water or coconut juice were provided I paid also for them. My driver was great and very accommodating.

Big Scam. Waste of money.

This is basically a highly expensive full day cab service and nothing else. Most of the key attractions need to be paid out of your own pocket. You just get someone to drive you around (if you book a full day taxi service it will cost you one third the price). A big scam. Please avoid. I will be trying for a refund since I just felt badly looted by Viator.

You requested a last-minute cancellation, but Viator was unable to approve it due to their clear cancellation policy, which requires at least 24 hours' notice. By the time of your request, all preparations had been made for your tour. When our driver arrived at your hotel, he was treated quite rudely despite simply trying to begin the service. You declined the full planned itinerary, which included several unique and local experiences, and instead requested only two popular tourist spots: SkyCab and the beach. While these places are accessible by taxi, the pricing varies based on demand, and the value of our tour lies in visiting places that are not typically reachable by regular taxis. For example, our itinerary includes a peaceful lunch experience at a local spot in the middle of the jungle — a place taxis do not — and locations like Temurun Waterfall and our special sunset viewpoint. These are meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experiences that we’ve curated to give guests something beyond the usual tourist route. We respect that everyone has different expectations, but labeling the entire tour a scam after refusing the original itinerary is unfair. Langkawi tour during Ramadan

A well-rounded tour of Langkawi by car. Watching the sea and river eagles on the mangrove cruise was one of the many highlights. Spotting pink dolphins was very special. The Spectacled Langurs and the Long-tailed Macaques were very entertaining to watch. Gunung Raya was on the itinerary when I booked the tour, however, we did not get to go as our guide said the roads were not safe. Even with that bit of false advertising, we did enjoy the private tour very much.

Not a Tour - Just an Expensive Taxi ride

Not good start as our Driver picked us late - we later found out he had been watching football late the night before. He didn’t seem to know the itinerary and didn’t take us the the first place but straight to the the beach (2nd place on the itinerary) where we had to then book at 500-700 local currency for the Mangrove Tour - an unexpectedly high additional cost. Actual tour was great and after met up with our driver who whilst very pleasant didn’t really seem interested in Guiding us. He advised us not to go the one of the waterfalls as very little water and the 2nd waterfall had just a trickle . I wouldn’t advise this tour at all but simply get a taxi direct to the Mangrove Tour (which as I have said is great) as it will be much cheaper- will be asking Viator for some sort of refunds which I know won’t happen

Our guide kevin wss super knowlegeable and helpful. His english was very good and we had no trouble understanding him. He designed the trip around us and our interests. The van was comfortable and was right there when we needed it.

Disappointing

We were expecting a tour. A taxi picked us up 30 minutes late as she was waiting at a hotel lobby not at the cruise pier. She did not speak English and the waterfalls were a tricle only. This should be offered as a rainy season attraction. Tour offers a boat ride in stop 1 but fails to mention you need to pay 700 of their money for the two of us. A waste of time and money.

Not a tour but a taxi service

Driver always wanted us to find him in the parking lot with hundred of other cars. Couple scheduled sites were omitted without warning. Not a good communicator and shared no information about the sites and we were just dropped off and figured things out ourselves. Not a tour guy to day the least.

Amazing experience

It was the story of lifetime. I was sick on the day of my trip, asked if I can reschedule. Kharl was so sweet, he postponed it till next day so I was able to recover. He showed up with a bottle of traditional medicine which was very thoughtful. We did a whole day tour to explore the island. It was an amazing experience. I’d recommend it.

Langkawi surprise

It was a perfect way to see Langkawi. Our group of seven had not been there previously and had no idea what to expect. The driver was great and gave us an amazing overview of this, surprisingly interesting, island. He connected us with a boat tour that took us through the mangroves to see monkeys, tropical fish, eagles and a bat cave. They even had a birthday cake so we could celebrate at the floating restaurant where they took us to lunch.

Not recommended! The driver only drives you to a few spots where you still have to pay admission. It is neither informed about anything but what . Money thrown out. This is better if you book the tours directly with the respective tour provider. And the rides over Grab! Never again! And it said we are supplied with drinks in this private tour / a laugh number ! When we asked for the drinks, they said on the way back you'd get a bottle of water. Please think before you book this!!!

Already trying to call and Whatsapp but the number not use in Whatsapp. I also contact Viator but the response was so slow. Its really spoil the day.
