Our tour guide was wonderful....Martine was attentive, punctual, and took us wherever we wanted! We loved the flexibility and also the patience displayed by her! It was a charming place to visit.

I booked this excursion weeks ahead for my family as we were coming on a cruise ship. I asked if the meeting could be later in case of the ship being late. The boat ship didn’t dock till 1/2 an hour after expected. I notified the guide and told him it was running late. He said not to worry, he would wait. We rushed off the boat and got on one of the first shuttles. It dropped us off at the town square. The guide said the meeting place was at a tourist center. After we got off the shuttle I started showing the address to everyone! No one had any real idea of where it was. We raced across town to an area that some thought it might me close. I found WiFi and texted and called the tour guide. No answer. We finally found it. It was a seedy little store front that sold cigarettes and the lady there said she’d never heard of the company or the guy. We finally gave up and about an 1/2 later I got a text that said he’d waited a little but left, have a nice day.

Very historic and quiet city, our guide was very knowledgeable and took us to what we felt was insider spots.. comedy club, local chocolate shop, a restaurant with flowers in it, Templar place and much much more. He also made us a tour video at the end, which was a nice touch!

Touring with Celine was like walking the streets of La Rochelle with a dear friend. We had no problem meeting up with her in a lovely cafe where she acclimated us to our location and plan. We were a group of 6 people, 2 of us in wheelchairs. She made sure that our historic stroll through the beautiful city was easily accessible for all including a sweet ferry ride across the port waters. We had requested that our tour end in a restaurant for lunch. Celine selected a wonderful spot, close to the historic old town but away from the more touristy options. Our meal was amazing and she left us with maps showing easy return access. She even checked up on us a few days later to make sure we were enjoying our next city. I HIGHLY recommend spending a day with Celine!

La Rochelle is a beautiful city. This private walking tour is a must! We learned lots of history and viewed amazing sites, including some off the beaten path. Our guide Claudia was very pleasant and made our experience great. Highly recommended

Romain was a superb guide for this wonderful custom tour! Romain contacted me on WhatsApp in advance, sharing logistical information and answering my questions on where we would meet. My husband and I were very happy with our tour. Romain summarized the historical significance of La Rochelle at the start. As we walked around the town, it was clear that he had done a lot of his own research to make the tour interesting and historically accurate. Romain walked us to some hidden gems that we would have never found on our own, and showed us photos on his phone of the inside of the City Hall. I would recommend this tour, and particularly Romain.

Romain was a fantastic guide and was able to give us a wonderful tour of the historical sights in town. From medieval to WWII history in La Rochelle, he had us covered. It was great to have a private tour where you could feel free to ask as many questions as you wanted.

Our guide was a local man called Gabriel, he was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he was showing us. He checked each time if we wanted more information or more time at the many interesting places we visited. Their is much more to see and learn about than we thought and it made planning the rest of visit more interesting as we went back to some of the places Gabriel recommended.
