Family of 5 including a 14, 12 and 7 year old. Still a bit cold in this region in the early hours in April (we are from Scotland) so wear trousers and layers but take shorts for the pamukale part. Great communication from the tour company via the Viator app and directly through WhatsApp. Driver was great, we felt safe. Tour guide, Ibrahim, was relaxed, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible with the itinerary to suit us (but without giving too much info to make it a lecture). Hot air balloon trip was amazing, well run and felt safe, about 15 of us spread out over four basket compartments. Loved every minute and was up in the air in time for sunrise. Pamukale and heiropolis were equally amazing. Stopped off once in the way to the balloons for snacks and toilets. Lunch was excellent. Stopped once in the way back for snacks and toilets. Bus was comfortable. An early start (2.30am pick up from Aska Lara) but well worth the journey. We would do it all over again and would recommend.

Long but worth it

It’s a very long day but totally worth it! They pick you up around 1:30am, group no more than 20 ppl, breakfast and lunch (buffet, included) enough bathroom stops, a random stop at a Onyx factory, and you get to the ballon ride just before sunrise. The whole experience is great, including the 3hrs free time in Pamukkale. It caters for vegetarians, young and old people. Totally recommended

Some services were very good but others very poorly organized. The pick-up was scheduled for 3 a.m., at 2:20 a.m. the driver was already looking for us....the road went very well, but when we arrived near the balloon location we had to change buses and it was very poorly organized, we lost a lot of time, then we had to walk for a long time in the middle of the night without a lamp among stones and rocks, there was also a big problem with the distribution of the hot air balloons, we could not find everything the world, there were missing customers who were supposed to be with us, they made the call 4 times, in the end all the hot air balloons took off before 7 a.m. but ours only at 7:20 a.m. and we landed at 7:48 a.m. so not at all the duration of flight that was planned 😪😪😪😪😪 Then we drank the champagne and they made the customers put the cup down by putting a note in it....Pamukle was very good, we had a lot of time to visit, swim, it was perfect. The meal was very good too, however the forced stop at the shop before eating was unnecessary...

The air balloon was amazing! The tour after alright, the entrance should be included in the price. The coach they use was super uncomfortable and you're in it for hours.

1. The baloon ride is supposed to be an hour, but the time was too short and I think it's about 40 minutes in the air. 2. The ballon was only 800 meters high and we have seen other ballon was higher than our ones. Not sure what was happened.

Waste of a day!!

The balloon ride gets 5 stars. The rest of our day was a total waste. We did NOT want a visit to an onyx factory, we did NOT want to spend another €30 each and over 3 hours in Heirapolis although we were practically forced to. We declined and sat for those 3hrs in a small cafe!!!!!! We had paid a lot of money already and it should have been more explicit and upfront about this extra cost! Also, we were picked up at 2.35am from our hotel and yet there was no food stop for breakfast , only lunch at 1,00. Our food was sub average! Our transport on the way back to Antalya was awful as we roasted in the back of a poorly air conditioned minivan!!!! Would we recommend this tour?!!!! Never! Find someone who offers the balloon trip, then back to your hotel!!!

From Sky-High Thrills to Ground-Level Disappointments

Let me start by saying, if you see any reviews claiming “this is the best tour,” they’re probably fake! This was definitely not the best, but let’s dive into the details. We were picked up from our hotel on time, which was a great start. Then, we were transferred to another van at a meeting point where the tour guide introduced herself, and we headed toward the hot air balloon site. The balloon ride itself was incredible—worth every penny and honestly the highlight of the entire tour. If the experience had ended there, I’d give it an easy 4.5 stars. But, unfortunately, it didn’t. After we landed, the hot air balloon guide spent a good 15 minutes pressuring us to buy photos and videos, which felt ridiculous. We did tip the flight team because they clearly worked hard. Back in the van, we were told that we were going to an onyx museum because the Pamukkale thermal pools didn’t open until 9. A quick Google search, however, showed they actually opened at 8. At the museum, there was very little factual information. It felt more like a gimmick to get us to buy things rather than an educational stop. It was frustrating and felt like a waste of time. Then, the guide mentioned that the entrance fee for Pamukkale was 30 euros, then changed it to 33 euros, and finally to 35 euros, saying she needed cash. Annoyingly, she told us this after we’d already left an area with several ATMs. She claimed the fee covered entry and swimming, and most people paid her. But when we arrived, she said if we hadn’t given her cash, we could just buy a ticket at the gate using a card, which was frustrating. Once inside Pamukkale, she gave us a brief tour with some good historical information, which I appreciated. Then we headed to the antique pool, which was an additional 10 euros for swimming. So, why did she say the 35 euros covered swimming? I guess you could technically swim in the thermal pools, but they were hard to walk around, shallow, and—oh yeah—you weren’t allowed to wear shoes, which she never mentioned. We had three hours of free time, which was way too long for a place with only two main attractions. Afterward, we were taken to a buffet restaurant that looked questionable at best—no heat lamps, flies everywhere. Honestly, I would’ve preferred to be dropped off at a nice restaurant and paid for a decent meal. The ride back was unbearable. The van was sweltering hot, everyone was sweating and complaining, even I, who’s usually cold, was sweating. In summary, the hot air balloon was amazing, but the rest of the tour was unnecessary and a waste of time. If you decide to do this tour, I’d recommend bringing an umbrella for the heat, some sandwiches and snacks, flip-flops, and just pay the entrance fee yourself at the gate.

We had a fantastic day waking up very early and picked up by our guide Surmet and our driver Faruk to do the Hot air balloon flight. Every thing was run very smoothly organised by Surmet who was very kind, friendly and very helpful. As a family what we liked about the tour was that it wasn’t run hurriedly but it was run at a very smooth pace, which was good for families unlike the other day tour ofAntalya which we did before this tour. Surmet enjoys his work which shows as he was very organised and passionate towards us for us to enjoy our tour. Our driver( Faruk) was very good driving us to the tour without getting frustrated and tired as it was a very early and long journey. Overall it was a fantastic trip with the Hot air balloon flight being the highlight and exploring Pamukkale the magical city.

Bad experience. Got sent home after baloon ride. We drove 3 hours to fly baloon 1 hour and then got sent back. Did not get any chance for free time. Horrible deal. Very bad breakfast

Not as adverised. Were sent home immediately after balloon tour. No opportunity to explore the city. Were given a very bad breakfast instead of the lunch we were promised. Only part that was good was the actual baloon ride.

The trip was really well organised with everything happening on time. It wasn't easy to basically miss a night's sleep but we did manage to sleep on the transport bus and it was absolutely worth it. Arriving pre dawn at the place where the hot air balloons were being set up and watching them all get prepared was spellbinding. It was a beautiful experience and definitely one to remember! The tour guide, Gözde, was great and really tried hard to ensure that we got the most out of our day.

Company did not provide the sunrise balloon ride as advertised, and didn't seem to care

We chose to drive to Pamukkale and meet the balloon there. This was supposed to be a sunrise balloon ride but the bus from Antalya was late getting there so we missed the sunrise, which was the one of the main reasons to book this ride. They were late for no discernable reason, there were no weather conditions which would have prevented them from being on time. We received no apology, no compensation, and they showed no remorse. I feel that this ride is being misrepresented as a sunrise ride. The ride itself, once it got underway, was fabulous. However, people should be aware that you may not get what you are expecting if you want to see the sun rise while on the balloon ride. And the company doesn't care that they are misrepresenting what they are offering.

Horrible experience they just ruined our holiday,i chat with my tour operator at 11pm he said driver gonna pick up at 1am .we were waiting in outside of the hotel no one come to pick up .i was calling tour operator no response after an hour he said trip has been cancelled. And that time we couldn’t book any other activities on that day .unrecommended .

One of the highlights of our trip was the balloon ride, which I gifted to my parents for Father's Day. The timing was perfect, and our pilot was excellent, making the experience incredibly enjoyable. Floating above the beautiful landscapes was truly a memorable adventure. Pamukkale city, with its stunning natural beauty, was another noteworthy part of our trip. However, everything inside was overpriced, and once you enter, you cannot leave without paying for re-entry. This essentially forces you to eat whatever is available on-site, which was quite limiting. Despite these drawbacks, the balloon ride was a standout experience that we cherished, adding a wonderful touch to our travels.

Booked this as a surprise for my girlfriends birthday- they cancelled with less than 12 hours notice for ‘weather’ which was actually good weather all day. Didn’t so much as apologise for inconvenience or really explain why. Poor communication, tried multiple times to ask when our pickup was and was fobbed off or ignored before the cancellation. Just avoid please if your in Antalya theres other companies that will hopefully be better. Still awaiting refund.

Tour guide was good and knowledgeable but transfer to ballong flight was a bit hit and miss was late getting ballon ready had to wait 10 mins on bus and the 20 m9ns for them to get the balloon up and ready to go took a pic after waiting 10.mins to get balloon up found the tour of pamukka national park a bit of a tourist trap and not worth the money but all in all was a ice day in end as it was my birthday the day we went so had to make ten most of it

Riding the Balloon was amazing, we had a very skillful pilot. But due to delays with our pick up transport from Antalya, we lost the opportunity to fly during the sunrise. I was soul-destroying to see lots of balloons already in the sky enjoying the colours of the sunrise as we just arrive to our destination. We had to wait for a balloon to come down, so we were in the second shift, basically a morning flight. The transport people try to justify their delay but I think they were overbooked. Unfortunately, this is not what we payed for, making the experience not complete. If you are going to book again make sure you will arrive on time to enjoy the sunrise as this experience is advertised.

Poor experience. Good luck getting your money back. Only gave that rating as tour guide was nice/helped arrange a taxi.

I booked Pamukkale Hot Air Balloon Flight from Antalya w/Lunch & Transfer for £225. I was taken to a dead city(5.5hrs away from Antalya). There were no hot air balloons in sight. I was then told that they will be collecting 30 euros from all passengers for journey to continue. I left the bus with other passengers and took a taxi home. I was told a taxi is 260 euros otherwise I would have to pay fees and stay with operator till end of day. You will basically be stranded and asked to pay to go home. Day wasted. When you ask for a refund they will offer you a partial refund. Overall, Poor experience. Good luck getting your money back. Only gave that rating as tour guide was nice/helped arrange a taxi home.

Fabulous experience. Tour guide added a few extras along the way including a stop at a local vineyard. Stop at Hieropolis was spectacular. Spent a longer time on the bus than expected but the extras from the local tour guide more than compensated. Overall unique and fantastic experience.

As there is a bit of travel of around 3 hrs, each side make sure you are prepared for it.. Had a wonderful experience on the Hot air Balloon, must visit if you are going to Antalya, it a once in a life time experience and i am sure you will enjoy it. Visit to Pamukkale and other places after that is a must. The tour guide was very friendly and excellent.. Managed to go for para gliding as well, many thanks to our tour guide.

The experience for entire tour was spledid and if I ony would want to rate the tour guide I would rate him 5 stars for his knowledge and commitment. The tour bus could have a wifi onboard so that we can share our experience on the fly and not wait until trip ends.

Totally worth it

Our guide Apo was kind and attentive. He was dealing just fine with the unforeseen circumstances, so we were picked up from our hotel without delays and the trip itself was low drama, although we had a bus full of different people who saw each other for the first time. The ride was nice and safe too. Hot air baloon ride was much fun, it was enough room in the basket to take pictures and don't bother each other. When in the air, balloon was rotatng around its axis so everybody could see the view. The flight was easy, safe, and comfortable. The ancient city Hierapolis also was very exciting including not only ancient artefacts and wonderful architecture, but also terraces made of travertine and the Antique Pool. It was so much fun, we realized that 3 hours is such a little time actually.

This was a great trip. Pamukkale is beautiful and the guide there was friendly. We had plenty of free time to explore the site. We did have to sit through the usual tourist trap fake "winery" and "jewellery workshop" where they tried to sell us mediocre products at eye-watering prices. This appears to be part of almost every trip in Turkey and is not unique to this one.
