Great frog + night walk

Danny was fantastic, we managed to find 10 species of frog (with 2 rare), insects, lizard, and 2 mammals, plus a couple of fireflies! My only regret is not bringing a better lumen torch.

Amazing experience

We participated in August, the dry season, but still, Danny spotted eight species of frogs, some of which was endemic to Borneo. It was surprising to see the amazing spotting ability. In addition, we observed an incredibly beautiful bird, green broadbill, a red spider, green lizards, and other unique insects. It was wonderful experience! I strongly recommend you to bring strong flash light, because when you search for frogs in the dark bush, reflection of the light from their eyes is a clue. Mine was weak, so it was difficult to spot organisms by my self. Seven people joined the activity together, so other than Danny, some people found interesting organisms, too. Since it was paved with concrete, the path we walked was easy to walk. Danny and his wife were very friendly. He gave us a message what to bring and wear through whatsapp (long sleeve shirt, long pants, shoes covering feet, raincoat.(in case it rains), insects repellant, flashlight) in the morning of our activity. At the same time, gave us answer to when we were picked up from our hotel (we asked through viator beforehand).

After reading those reviews for a nighttime frog safari in Kubah National Park, a guide named “Danny” is like a golden trademark standing out and catching my attention. I decided to book this tour even if I have to pay double for solo. I’m so glad that I did so, and the trip definitely worth it. Danny quickly contacted me and gave me a very detailed preparation list. When I went to the meeting point he was there waiting for me already. Danny is an exceptionally wonderful guide. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about his work. With his sharp eyes, patient and expertise he found 13 different types of frogs, and totally 16 of them. We also saw 2 types of snakes, 2 birds, some spider family large members, and several hoploclonias. If someone loves wild life and just visits Kuching please take this tour. You will never be disappointed.
