Overview
Discover Bonaire’s Washington Slagbaai National Park on this guided half-day tour. Explore hidden coves, secluded beaches, salt lakes, and watering holes. Originally inhabited by the Caiquetio Indians, the park is the first nature sanctuary of the former Netherlands Antilles. Today, its beaches are an important nesting ground for sea turtles. Enjoy plenty of opportunities to photograph the natural beauty.

- Please don't forget to bring your Paper receipt, square or round nature tag & ID with you
- For your ID, this must be a photo ID like your passport, driver’s license, etc.
- Everyone visiting Bonaire (even the locals) have to pre-purchase an annual Dive Tag or Nature Tag

- Washington park Opening Hours: 08:00 -17:00 (14:45 is last entry time into the park) We want you to feel at home and comfortable on our island and recommend you bring the following for this tour:
- It is likely you will see flamingos, goats, iguanas, donkeys and local birds while in the park.
- 1. Sun Protection: Sunscreen, Sunglasses
- 2. Extra Water
- 3. Dress Comfortably for warm, sunny, and humid weather
- 4. Camera (of course!)
- 5. Comfortable Shoes
- 6. Water Shoes if you plan to swim - Bonaire's beaches can be rocky
- 7. Swim Wear & Towel
- 8. Bread or fruit - if you'd like to feed the iguanas and fish
- Note: For children under the age of 12, entry to the Visitor Centre and the park is free.
- Before the Tour:
- Hotel or apartment Guests: For the meeting, please meet your guide at the reception, and if you are staying at an apartment; your driver will be at the address you provided on the booking. Your guide will arrive at your pick-up location 15 minutes before the start of your tour to pick you up. We will notify you if there are any changes.
- Cruise Ship Passengers: Please note that this tour is not available for Cruise Ship guests, as this is an extensive tour and we cannot guarantee to have you back to your ship in time for departure. Exceptions can be made if your ship leaves late in the evening. For this, you can contact us directly to hear your options.
- Your guide will welcome you with your first name or last name on a sign in front of the cruise ship exit/enter gate where your ship is docked. As you walk away from your ship, you will be approaching a security checkpoint gate. When you exit the gate, walk straight forward, and look straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before the start of your tour to collect you. Please Note: If your tour starts at 08:30, your guide will pick you up 15 minutes (08:15) before the start time of your tour.
- Very IMPORTANT: If you don't see your guide with your name, please stay at the gate of your ship and do not walk away and look for your guide, let your guide look for you.
- We GUARANTEE to have you BACK TO THE SHIP 1 hour before the ship departure time.
- This is a small group guided tour of up to 7 people per vehicle. You will be in a shared van, car, or pick-up depending on the number of guests.
- Roads in the park ARE NOT PAVED. Expect some bumps along the way.
- Our prices include a 6% government tax
- Our goal is for you to leave the Island happier than when you arrived.
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

Driver was excellent and informative. Van with 7 passengers not appropriate for very rough terrain. A 4X4 was advertised. Lunch was terrible, a chicken salad was advertised with salad and options for vegan and vegetarian. Apparently the lady was away on holiday who usually makes the lunch. No snacks were offered on a 5 hr trip. We paid more than the other passengers with us as our tour was supposed to be private. We were told the night before that they could not provide us with the tour but we could join the small group, which we did because we had little time left on the island. We did see what was advertised. All in all disappointing to say the least.

1) We do not offer 4x4 vehicles, and we do not advertise them as such. Please provide proof that we advertised as a 4x4 tour.
2) Because our amazing staff member who prepares lunch for our guests is currently on vacation, we are offering lunch in a different way—a local lunch made for everyone. Let's be respectful of each other. Lunch was served on this tour.
3) We provide a private experience in a small group. We do not take 10 or more people on the trip because we want to keep it small so everyone can enjoy the tour.
We are sorry you were disappointed, but we want to remind you that we strive to provide the best experience for our guests. We treat everyone with respect for their hard work and for visiting Bonaire.

We had a great guide Renny who showed us many places in the park. We saw beautiful scenery, many cacti and we had a great time snorkeling. If you want to see Washington Park, this is the tour!

Unfortunate due to bad weather the park was closed. BUT The service and communication to try to accomodate us and keep in touch was very good..So i am pretty sure if the tour would have taken place it would have been awesome ! See you on my next trip

This tour is the way to see the national park. Our guide was great. He was very knowledgeable about many aspects of the park and the wildlife we saw there. The roads in the park can be quite rough, so we highly recommend this tour where you can enjoy your visit without having to worry about navigating rough and winding roads of the park. We had plenty of time to stop and see many sites throughout the park and to snorkel at an excellent location at the reef. The lunch provided was also quite good. The owners also provided a very nice chicken salad sandwich for lunch, which was a nice touch. We would definitely do this tour again when we visit Bonaire.

Renny was our Dutch speaking guide. He did a fantastic job 👌👌just a tip. Never book through this site. We felt really ripped off. We paid $139 per person and had to pay a vignette of $40 dollars upon arrival at the box office otherwise we were not allowed to enter the park while this was not described anywhere. Fellow travelers paid $100 dollars for the same trip. They advertise with lowest price guarantee. Don't know why we have to pay $39 more. You'd say this is for the vignette. MISLEADING TEXT DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!
