Choose a morning, afternoon, or early evening class on booking. Then, begin with pickup from your Krabi town or Ao Nang hotel, or for an additional cost, from your Muang and Tubkaek hotel.
Meet your professional chef, Ya, in the cozy cooking school in Ao Nang to learn classic Thai cooking. Start the class with choosing the best ingredients for your meal. Get an introduction to the country’s food, and discover the rich colors, delicate aromas, and spices that make the perfect Thai meal.
In the kitchen, try your hand at some traditional Thai dishes. Learn how to balance flavors and cook from scratch using classic utensils and techniques. Get guidance on making curry paste — an essential recipe base — and discover various herbs and spices as you grind them in a stone mortar.
Dishes will vary, but expect to try out favorites like massaman curry, spicy prawn soup, stir fried chicken, pad Thai, or others.
Once everything’s ready, savour your creations with your fellow cooks, and get feedback from Ya.

This experience was fantastic! We were offered many choices of recipes and each person could personalize their dishes. The instructors were really charming and easily showed us how to prep and cook. The food was delicious and we were so stuffed and had leftovers. Absolutely the best class.

This experience was one of a kind, the lady’s running the class were so friendly and knowledgable. My friend is also vegetarian and they catered very well for her. We got to make 4 dishes each, and it included a free cooking book at the end for the things we had made. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Ao Nang area.

Fun and informative introduction to Thai cooking. You will prepare plenty of food that you will eat so don’t fill up on the first dish! Each participant creates their own dishes so everyone gets what they want.

We really enjoyed the class! We made many different dishes and learned a lot. They can also adapt almost every dish into a vegetarian version which was much appreciated! The class is quite high tempo but you get a recipe book afterwards. One small detail: the recipes in the book are always the non-veggie variant, so it would have been nice to get the book at the start of the class to be able to make some adaptations 😇

We are family of 4 adults. The experience started off on the wrong foot as I did not realize the ground transportation offered for an additional fee was in the back of a pickup truck. This turned out to be a relatively minor point; I suggest you take a Grab instead. But the overall cooking experience was top notch. Ying and her team of ladies were super -- teaching and coaching each step of our meal prep. We left stuffed and satisfied with the experience. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best things we did in Thailand. Pick up from the hotel and drop off was very straightforward. The chefs who took the class (there was only the 2 of us!) were fantastic! So lovely, friendly and educational. The food was absolutely wonderful, I've never eaten so well! It was no problem at all that we were vegetarian. We were so lucky to have the Thai cooking class all to ourselves — and it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of our trip! The instructor was incredibly welcoming, patient, and passionate about Thai cuisine. We learned so much about the ingredients, techniques, and the culture behind each dish.
Being in a private setting made the experience even more special — we got to ask lots of questions, go at our own pace, and really enjoy every moment. Plus, the food we made was absolutely delicious — we’re still dreaming about the curry!
If you’re visiting Thailand and love food, this class is a must. It’s a hands-on, heartwarming experience that goes beyond just cooking. Highly recommend!

It was truly amazing how the 3-4 women working there managed to coordinate a bunch of people with no cooking experience, and help them make 4 incredible dishes.
You really should not eat breakfaat before doing this class, or else you will be stuffed before the 3rd dish.
Bonus: you receive a book in the end, with all the recipes you made, and also the ones you did not.

This cooking class was so fun!! Highly recommend for anyone looking to make some delicious Thai food during their visit to Krabi. The staff were all very kind and helpful and we couldn’t believe how good the food turned out. We made curry, noodles, and soup that we ate together and we also given fresh mango sticky rice that they made for us. This was definitely one of the best parts of an amazing trip!

Wonderful way to learn about some of the basics of Thai cooking. I would recommend going when you are hungry as you are expected to eat everything you made…. Which for us was impossible as we made 3 dishes each and it was 11.30 in the morning when we finished. You can take food away but that’s not always convenient either depending on your accommodation facilities. We got some really good instruction and information on basic Thai curry pastes but we felt the actual cooking part was very rushed and there wasn’t a lot of time to really think about what we were doing.

Absolutely loved the experience while there but unfortunately my partner and I both got severe food poisoning the next day. There’s a potential the food poisoning didn’t come from Ya’s, however that’s the only thing we’d eaten the same in days and the chicken was left out in the heat for a solid hour before it was cooked. Great experience, great tasting food and lovely hosts, just be mindful of the potential food poisoning.

Really good fun, informative and Ying and her colleagues were really helpful and informative. We were picked up from our hotel along with 4 other people - 8 of us altogether , we made several Thai dishes from scratch and got a choice what to make, there was a choice of beer or soft drinks if we wanted which we had to pay for - at the end we sat together and enjoyed what we had made. Then we were given a summary cookery book to take home - a lovely evening with such nice people - thank you Ying and your colleagues x

I took the class with my partner, we were in a group of 6 which is an ok size for a cooking class. We cooked different curries, papaya salad, tom yam, pad thai and pad krapow - every person got to choose the dishes they wanted to cook which meant that you could observe others recipes. However, it all goes quite fast and the teachers takes over quite often, therefore not sure how much we actually learned. But you get a recipe book in the end so you can practice in the calm of your home. Overall a fun activity, friendly teacher and delicious dishes, recommend!

Fantastic hands on cooking experience, with choice of dishes, 4 made in total. Each group of 6 people was very well run. We chopped, stir fried, made curry paste and curry, salad or soup and enjoyed eating it all. Take small cash bills for water coke beer. Highly recommend whether you cook or not!

Couldn’t have decided on a better way to spend a few hours. Came upon this last minute and so glad we did. Ying was a great teacher and humored our American jokes. There was plenty of food for the three course meal with mango sticky rice as the icing on the cake. Definitely a highlight of my trip in Krabi!
