What To Expect
Your experience starts with hotel pickup in Krabi for transfer to your cooking class location. After a brief introduction to the basics of Thai cuisine, your lesson, taught by a Thai chef, begins as you hear about techniques, ingredients, and the balance of flavors.
With fresh ingredients in an open-air cooking area, learn how to make Thai dishes such as chicken in coconut milk, hot and sour prawn soup, or red curry. When booking, you have your choice of three menus, listed below.
Regular class:
Spring rolls, hot and sour prawn soup, papaya, cucumber or mixed fruit salad, fried noodles, chicken in coconut milk, chicken with cashew nuts or sweet or sour, green or red/panang curry, and banana and sticky rice
Special class A:
Thai-style fried noodles with prawn, chicken in pandanus leaves, steamed fish with lemon, massaman curry paste, massaman curry chicken, savory beef salad, and sweet sticky rice with mango
Special class B:
Fried noodles with vegetable and seafood gravy, stir-fried prawn in tamarind sauce, steamed fish with soya sauce, yellow curry paste and curry with chicken, seafood salad, and water chestnut in coconut milk

We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the event. It was well organised and professional, and conducted in an enjoyable way. There were eight in the group and all had a good time. We cooked a five course meal and it was a great introduction to Thai cooking.

This class was a phenomenal way to spend an afternoon. All of the teachers were so lovely and spoke amazing English. Many skills learned can be applied to other dishes, will be bringing what I learned back home!

Lovely small family business. Dad did the hotel pickups then taught the class.
Quite of bit of the food is pre-chopped.
The Tom Yum soup I made was incredible.
It was all over ithin 2 hours but still made 5 dishes.

Liya was amazing - the class was just my friend and I, so we got the opportunity to get to know the instructor (Liya) and receive very personalized care. She is super sweet, a great instructor, speaks excellent English, and gives you access to an online recipe book. We got lost on the way to the class (driver’s GPS stopped working) and were walking in the Thai heat for 20 minutes. When I told Viator to alert her of the delay - she sent a car to come pick us up! We were drenched in sweat and so appreciative. The good was great and class was super fun and beginner-friendly.

This experience was great! We had a group of about 12 of us and we were able to pick which meals we would make from a few options. The instructor was great, she was able to answer all our questions and give a good explanation on the different ingredients we were using in each meal. There was a little down time between making the entrees and when we prepared the next round of food which I felt could have been less time but some might have felt they needed the rest. All in all, it was a great experience!

We loved this cooking class! The owner/instructor was fabulous - easy recipes, great instruction, fun and funny. The logistics were flawless - ingredients laid out, cooking supplies prepped. The pacing was perfect - not too rushed but kept moving. And the end product - the food! - was uniformly tasty. We left full and happy. Highly recommend!!!

En oförglömlig eftermiddag med thailändsk matlagning. Smidig upphämtning på hotellet. Det var lätt att förstå instruktionerna från våra thailändska kockar som var mycket hjälpsamma. Man kan lätt klara denna kurs även om man inte är så van i köket. Vi hade valt våra 5 rätter på förhand, men man kan också välja på plats. Allt vi lagade smakade fantastiskt gott och vi blev båda inspirerade att pröva själva när vi kommer hem.
