What an incredible experience. I attended the Batik workshop this morning & the family were absolutely lovely. They welcomed me into their home and supplied refreshments, food & snacks. The knowledge & talent was amazing. Such patients, talking you through each step of the process to create your own peice of art, to take away with you. The best part of my Sri Lanka journey. I would highly recommend!!

Wonderful time with Manugi and her mom! We were hosted like family and had a blast learning about this ancient (tedious) art. It is always special to share a moment trough skills. It is even more special when you spend this time with generous and kind people! Thank you again !! Fellow travellers, do not hesitate!!

I had such a pleasant experience learning batik with Anuja and her children. Anuja was very patient and took me through the steps very gracefully and gently. I learned a lot about how to do batik and I got to take the piece that I made back home too! Truly a hidden gem in Kandy.

We had had a lovely morning learning the Batik process. Each step was explained and demonstrated really well which made it easy to follow. The family lovely and a lot of hard work went into the morning. We made a great bag that will be a great memory of Sri Lanka. It was 4 hours long which seemed a bit long at times but it is needed for the process to be completed. It could be possibly to create a smaller bag/pencil case in a shorter amount of time. Would highly recommend!
