Excellent handcrafted hanko

Booked a workshop tour through Viator. Upon arrival, was greeted by Tsukino-san and his wife then given a very thorough introduction to Hanko including the culture and tradition behind it and the importance of the three different kinds; Mitome-in, Ginko-in, and Jitsu-in. After the workshop tour, a very in-depth explanation of the various woods and other materials used to make the hanko itself, and the various materials for the interior and exterior of the cases. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and use my stamp on as much as I can since I arrived back home.

Really nice experience ! We arrived a little early but everything was ready. Our host explained us the story of the shop and the use of hanko seal. Then he translated our names and made us a design proposition. Dont hesitate to ask for little changes ! ( A place of my name felt a little empty and he made it more balanced). My friend and I chose to upgrade the cases quality and wood so it became a little pricey, but is it really worth it ! Again, don't hesitate to ask if he has other design of cases in stock ! The seals comes with a beautiful boxes, and a lot of little extras. The shopkeeper even gifted us stunning red ink. Absolutely fantastic.
