Ayat was an excellent guide – very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She brought the old district of Jeddah to life and answered all my questions about Saudi culture and daily life. My main goal was to truly understand how people live here, and she delivered that completely. The whole experience felt warm, welcoming and personal because of her. I’d definitely recommend this tour.

Had a great time with Ayat! She is very friendly, very knowledgeable and adaptable. She was able to tailor the program for our interest. She gave us a lot of tips on the city, the culture and the food. We enjoyed the old town tour tremendously with her! And would highly recommend! One tip - would suggest one to walk by yourself first in early afternoon so can take nice pictures. By the time the tour start, it may get dark quite quickly.

We went on the historical tour of Al Balad and it was very interesting and eye-opening. Ayat was our guide and she was great as she has good knowledge of the old town. Also, she was very patient with me in that I am collecting footage from multiple countries for a movie and she waited for me to get all the required video shots. We learned a lot on the tour. At the end of the tour, we wanted to go to a fish restaurant and Ayat walked us all the way there as we didn’t think that we could find it— she was very helpful right to the end.

This tour was amazing! The first positive surprise was that our guide was a woman! She was smart, knowledgeable and really fun to spend time with. She showed us her beautiful city and was very accommodating to our last minute request to move the tour to later in the day. Which turned out to be much better because the weather was better and the city came alive. Thank you Ayat for making this day special. Don’t think about it twice. Book this tour ASAP!

Ayat, our wonderful female Saudi tour guide made our trip around Al Balad unforgettable. She was friendly, knowledgeable and so smiley she really made the tour fun and engaging. We saw all of the main sights and stopped for some amazing local, traditional drinks too (Saudi coffee and sugarcane). We also stopped at some local shops to see antiques, spices, dates and perfumes. It really was an amazing tour and nothing was too much trouble. She would take you anywhere you wanted to see (even if it was all the way over the other side of the souq 🙂). Best Al Balad tour. 5*

Ayat was an amazing guide! She was so knowledgeable about Jeddah and Saudi history. She lead the tour while also giving us freedom to spend more or less time on things we wanted to. This was our first time in Saudi Arabia and she also gracefully answered a lot of general questions we had. She translated between arabic and english for us at shops and even helped negotiate when buying gold - we owe her! She treated us like family and gave us a wonderful experience. We stopped to see artwork, wood craft shops, cafes, museums, and more. We learned a lot and would highly recommend.

This tour cannot be missed! I had a long layover in Jeddah and considered staying in the airport or exploring by myself, but touring with Ayat was the best decision there was! If I had wandered alone I wouldn’t have known any of the amazing history of old town Jeddah. Not only did that but getting to learn about her life in Saudi Arabia and be able to ask questions to a true local is so necessary when exploring a new city. This tour was the BEST idea and she was able to send me on my way to have a fulfilled day in Jeddah!

Wow! This tour surpassed our expectations tenfold. Ayat is an amazing tour guide - she is extremely knowledgeable about this region and Jeddah surrounds. The old town of Jeddah was so so beautiful, filled with intricate alleyways and stunning architecture. I really learned a lot from this trip, the history of the town, the old way of saudi life and art features of all architecture and furniture. Because from the history we can understand more of a place and people. I want to appreciate the guide again, who explained so knowledgeable and detailed. And boss of souvenir shop is so kind and recommend the best. Thank them all.

Great tour in the evening.
A lot of stories on the history of Jeddah and architectural styles, also with local food and beverages. Totally recommended! But would be great to check in advance if the museums are open, as they may be closed.
