On this small-group Grand Teton wildlife safari, join a local naturalist and guide for a ride in an open-air safari vehicle (seasonal) on dirt roads and on paved highways within Grand Teton National Park, where you scour the landscape at dawn or dusk for wolves, moose, and elk. Look for eagles soaring overhead or deer walking through the woods, and there’s even the chance you could spot a bear roaming near the road. In addition to helping find wildlife, your guide discusses the area’s ecology, history, geology, and culture, and also stops so you can take photos of the landscape, wildlife, or terrain.

Itinerary
From Teton Village near Jackson Hole, hop in a customized open-air vehicle (weather dependent), for a journey out on the rugged terrain of Grand Teton National Park. From the comfortable seat of your open-air vehicle, gaze up at the craggy summit of Grand Teton—the tallest mountain in the park—all the while feeling the wind in your hair as you journey out towards the woods. In the fall and winter, when the temperature drops, tours take place in a safari-style vehicle that’s enclosed for comfort and warmth.
During this Grand Teton wildlife tour, scour a part of the 310,000 acres that comprise the national park. Scan the landscape for the 60 species of mammals that live in the park, and keep an eye out overhead for over 300 species of birds. With binoculars provided by your local guide, try to spot elk, bears, bison, mule deer, moose, or wolves, and keep a lookout for ospreys, owls, hawks, and soaring bald eagles. You might even have a chance to see black and grizzly bears.
Aside from the wealth of wildlife, you also experience the Snake River scenery as backed by the jagged mountains, and your guide will explain the geology and ecology before returning to Teton Village.
Note: Summer tours run from June 15 to August 31, and fall/winter tours are September 1 to June 14. Hotel pickup in the Jackson Hole area is available upon request.

Phil was more than we could have ever expected in a tour guide. He REALLY out did himself. Not only did he find us fantastic wild life but he was HILARIOUS and incredibly knowledgeable. He was extremely sweet with our 6 year olds too. Super safe the whole experience. We wanted to add him to our family and take him back to Florida with us. If we could give him more than 5 stars we would.

This tour is well worth the money! We traveled in late September and were fortunate enough to see so many amazing animals. Our tour guide, Phil, was knowledgeable and very entertaining. He also helped us capture high-quality photos of the wildlife. Highly recommend booking with this company!

Our guide Kelsey was incredibly knowledgable. She also made sure we were safe and following state laws but also got us close to see all the wildlife. She even brought her scope alone and let us see even better. Then she sent us all the videos she took! Excellent experience 10/10 would do again.

Our guide Anthony did an amazing job showing our group around the beautiful Tetons. We saw a wolf (which is apparently super rare), bison, pronghorns and 5 moose! Anthony was full of knowledge and made the time pass quickly with all of his facts and knowledge of the animals and overall history of Grand Teton National park. I would highly suggest this tour if you’re looking for some awesome sights and knowledge of the park.

Amazing time. Our guide Cameron was fantastic. So knowledgeable and capable. He was able to find us great wildlife and make sure that everyone was able to view it (especially our binocular challenged 8 year old). Cameron kept us entertained with great stories about the area to pass the time between animal sightings. Highly recommend this trip and outfitter.

We had a great time with Kelsey!!
The open air seating was awesome… we loved it. Our guide, Kelsey, was so full of knowledge and enthusiasm. She obviously loves her job and has a passion for nature.
She had snacks and drinks and even blankets for later on our sunset tour. She did her best to make sure we had a great time and she really wanted us to see everything we could. It was a great experience (even though she couldn’t promise what we would get to see!) We managed to see elk, bald eagle, a bear!… and a moose eating in the water. We were able to see a pack of wolves playing through her giant spotter too.
Everything was amazing! Totally worth the time and money and would definitely recommend and do again.

Unfortunately ,the speaker system did not work so we were unable to hear any history or information about the area. We could see the tour guides lips moving but were not able to hear anything he was saying. The sites were beautiful and the tour guide did his best to educate us at the stops but not being able to hear while he was driving (85% of the time) was a huge damper! We were told they would send us pictures of the trip but we have not received them yet. I think it would have been a great trip if the system was working. I called the company afterwards and was told “we will try to get that issue fixed.” I believe this tour was over $600 for 4 of us. I understand failed equipment occurs but offer us a partial refund or a sunset tour or something! Poor customer service from the office! Ted, our tour guide, did a great job attempting to accommodate us the best he could!

Falsehood/embellishment #1 response: "Unfortunately ,the speaker system did not work so we were unable to hear any history or information about the area."
We have contacted each of the other guests that were on your tour in regards to their experience of the tour and they had nothing but glowing things to say about the same tour. We asked if Ted went over "history and information about the area" and they said that yes, he did go over that information throughout the entire tour and much more, at the multiple and numerous stops made during the tour.
Falsehood/embellishment #2 response:
"We were told they would send us pictures of the trip but we have not received them yet."
As promised by your tour guide in regards to pictures sent to you, you were told that you would receive the pictures within 24 hours of the tour. As promised, Ted sent you the pictures within 24 hours of the tour. You can feel free to respond directly to him with your apologies for this particular public falsehood.
Falsehood/embellishment #3 response:
"I think it would have been a great trip if the system was working. I called the company afterwards and was told “we will try to get that issue fixed.”"
I have listened to the recorded call you made to our office staff this morning in regards to your quote saying, "we will try to get that issue fixed." The office staff member actually told you, "we WILL get that issue fixed."

I did the sunrise wildlife tour in Grand Teton and would not recommend. I saw the same amount of wildlife driving around in my own car. The guide has binoculars and a spotting scope which is nice if you don’t own binoculars, but for around $160 (around the cost of the tour) you could probably buy some nice ones. The guide shared some interesting tidbits about Grand Teton and info about the plants, and offered to take our photo at scenic viewpoints, but did not seem to have extra special knowledge of where an animal or pack of animals might be in the early morning. In the four hours we spent searching for wildlife, we saw part of a moose in the trees which we used our binoculars to see, and some antelope in a field as we drove by.

It can get pretty cold even in the summer! Bring a coat even if you don’t think you’ll need it. The guides really know what they’re doing and led us right to where the wildlife was. Our guide, Allie, was amazing! We saw lots of moose, elk and something like gazelles. She was super knowledgeable, took great care of us and was fun!

Our Wildlife Sunset Safari adventure was so exciting. Kelsey and Taylor were both awesome guides and made the group feel welcomed from the start. Both did a fabulous job providing detailed educational information regarding the wildlife/the town/early settlers/Jenny Lake. They both took the time to make sure our group had seen different wildlife, not hesitating to go the extra mile! Kudos to both Kelsey and Taylor! This trip with Brushback Tours, with Neil as our guide, was outstanding! From the pick-up at the motel to the snacks provided on the trip, they couldn’t have made us more comfortable. Neil’s knowledge about the area was unmatched as was his passion for the experience that we wanted to provide for the visitors. We loved how capable he was at
