Food tour

Tour guide knows where the good food is at the market. Variety of food tasted. Would like more history or information about food or the owners providing it. More background provided so we didn’t have to ask.

We throughly enjoyed our tour with Elcin, who took us around the market and taught us all about the foods and other tidbits about Turkish culture. We loved hearing the insights of a native with expertise in the area.

The Izmir food tour was a great experience for us. We tried food that we may not have come across if it was not because of tour guide Elcin . Elcin was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I personally liked the pickle juice that she had us try. Highly recommended

Good survey of market foods.

I enjoyed our guide. We got to see more of Izmir's market than we did on our own and learned more about the history. We enjoyed the food, but I think "gourmet" in the title is misleading. I would call it a tour of traditional Turkish food.

Yummy Izmir

I enjoyed getting to know Izmir through Elcin, a fantastic local guide who shared her knowledge of the town she has grown up in. The food was delicious. She knew all of the local spots to try the cuisine. There would have been no way for me to experience the local culture without Elcin!! I highly recommend this tour - come hungry!!!
