My husband and I ended up the only two on this tour and we had a wonderful one on one experience with George. Clava Cairns was so interesting once the history was explained by this local guide. Highly recommend booking this tour in particular because of the knowledge this company brings to the tour experience.

We had an exceptional day on the Loch Ness and Outlander Sites Tour from Inverness, thanks entirely to our outstanding guide, Alistair Kennedy. What makes a great tour guide great? Alistair embodies it all: extremely well-informed, highly articulate, easily understood, and full of infectious enthusiasm. With extensive Highland experience through longstanding family ties and his own life there, plus a military background that gives him deep knowledge of Scottish military history, he brought remarkable expertise to every site we visited.
But beyond knowledge, Alistair is extraordinarily personable and delightful to be with, a wonderful sense of humor, and genuinely a really nice man. He made our small group feel like a family for the day, all part of a unified team enjoying the experience together. He never rushed us, always listened to questions, and delivered information-packed, engaging commentary at every stop.
What makes Alistair truly unique is that even though he's surely seen these sites hundreds of times, his sense of curiosity, awe at the history and nuance, and amazement at what these important sites represent feels completely authentic. It's as if he's seeing them for the first time alongside you. That's the gift of an excellent communicator and passionate guide.
The day was jam-packed with outstanding experiences: the Bronze Age Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, the shores and mysteries of Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, whiskey tasting at the Singleton Distillery (Alistair didn't partake as he was driving), and even - at my wife's and another guest's request - a surprise stop where we petted Highland cows! Alistair made it all happen seamlessly.
One exceptional experience after another, led by a truly outstanding guide. Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic tour for any Outlander fan! You won’t see Jamie but you see many filming scenes! Roger was our tour guide - probably the best - besides being extremely witty, he explained the historical perspective behind each place we saw, and of course the Outlander filming perspective. Culloden Battlefield was a very somber and moving stop filled with a lot of historical artifacts at the museum. Roger also entertained us with many stories about Nessie. The time allocated at each stop was perfect and we had an amazing day!!

The tour was incredible. Nice and small group which made for easier travel. The van was very comfortable as well. Roger, our guide, was amazing! Very knowledgeable and hilarious, which made the trip feel very nice. He made it feel like we had known him forever. The highlands are stunning and everyone should experience it when coming to Scotland. 10/10! Thank you Roger for such a wonderful time!

We had the BEST time on this tour. George was phenomenal. He shared so much detailed knowledge and even made small changes/additions to enhance our experience. He is very passionate about what he does and that’s exactly what you want when travelling somewhere new. We had a great time with George our tour guide. He gave us LOADS of historical commentary beyond the simple touristy stories about the sites we visited. He adjusted the commentary to suit our interests and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend Go Highlands for your tour needs.

Great tour. Excellent tour guide. Very personal - only 4 of us with our guide. Got picked up right outside the ship and dropped off right beside it in plenty of time while we still got to see everything we wanted to with ample time at each stop. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I would highly recommend Go Highlander Tours to anyone wanting to get a taste of Scotland's Highlands.
