This was an excellent private tour driving us to all the must see spots of Hvar. First we stopped at the highest viewpoint on the island giving us a full 360 view of all the sights. Next we stopped to smell some lavender bushes and other spices/seasonings around. Other viewpoints of the island were shown for chances for pictures and to show the amazing structures of the island. We then were taken to a village off the beaten path to show us the true Hvar local experience where we tried delicious lavender cheesecake and drinks of our choice at a local restaurant and given the chance for the authentic lavender purchases. All while getting a personal experience with lots of insights and education of the history of Hvar from our tour guide. Truly an amazing experience - would highly recommend!

So first - I had a false pretense of how much lavender is left on Hvar. Lots of it was lost during fires. Still, my guide was excellent - showed me all around the island and where the lavender fields used to be. We drove through some small villages where they still produce lavender. I learned a lot and the tour was great.
