Urska picked us up from our hotel and we learned we were the only two on the tour. We were taken to the highest fortress for spectacular views over Hvar town and then meandered through scenic roads to a lovely and authentic winery in a charming area. Thoughtful small bite pairings accompanied five delicious wines. We learned a lot about the island through history, the lavendar industry and olive and wine growing. Was a great half day and if you have Urska as a guide, you are very fortunate.

Supposed to be 3 hours but driver picked us up 1/2 hour late & dropped us off early. Sat at the same winery for 2 hours with five- 2 oz pours! Ridiculously expensive at $120 per person for one winery & a minuscule amount of wine amount of wine!

Dinki, our guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable friendly had so much to share. It was especially meaningful as he grew up on the island and had a great perspective on the history and changes. Loved our winery Vina Caric. The whole trip was so much more than what we expected.

Great having a local guide to bring knowledge and personal touch. Very informative and great fun.
Small group good, winery nice with good selection included. Maybe a bit transactional vs personal touch but shared lots of information.
Loved the tour of the area and finding out more. Our guide made the whole experience.

Fabulous tour. Basically, a local man (named Dinko) with a van and stories of the island. We got to see the Hvar countryside and the terraced hills where the lavender fields used to be. We also had a wine tasting at an authentic winery off the beaten path

Our guide Dinko was born & raised on Hvar and was able to share his wonderful experiences of growing up in country of an ever changing political and social landscape.
A great day out, we had a lovely time, and some delicious local wines to boot!

Our guide picked us up at a meeting point that was just a few minutes walk from our AIRBNB. She was an excellent source of knowledge and told us all about the island. The drive to the vineyard was beautiful!! We made 2 stops along the way and were able to take some great photos. We tried 5 wines and they were paired with cheese and bread and olives. Very nice!!

Seeing the outlying areas of the island with its small villages and agricultural history was a refreshing change from the tourists of Old Town. However, the entire tour was driving through the hills and going directly to the winery and back. It was probably overpriced for just that and could be improved with a stop on Stari Grad for lunch or something like that.

Tour is described on the website. With driving there are also stops to the winery. On those stops you can learn about history and farming on the island as well about traditional life.
We are happy for your suggestion about improving this tour, but we have other tours which includes Stari Grad and more. Those tours takes more time and are also more expensive.
Hope you will visit us again and join for any other tour to make your holiday memories.

Urska was a wonderful host for this tour! She picked us up from our Airbnb in Hvar and drove us to and from the winery in Jelsa. On the drive she shared history and knowledge about the different towns on the island and stopped at different view points for us to get amazing views of the cities. She loves her home and we’re so glad she shared it with us. We loved the car ride just as much as the wine and olive oil tasting itself! At the winery, we learned about different types of wines and what is local to Hvar. We tasted 7 delicious wines and 4 types of olive oil. Our host at the winery, Marina, was gracious and educated us on the different offerings at the winery. This tour was the highlight of our stay on Hvar because we got to see what else the island has to offer outside of Hvar Port (there is so much to see !)

Very nice experience. The olive oil was the best we've ever tasted. The driver took us around the back way and showed us a little bit more about Hvar. Lots of fun.

Our driver provided a lot of history, stopped at the small fort and drove on the old road to get back. That was better than the wine tasting experience. Be prepared to have only tiny cubes of bread and a little olive oil with the wine.

Definitely we are aware that we all have different taste and are sad that we didn't fulfil yours. With tasting wines in only one winery is hard to fulfil all the tastes of so many people.

Wine tours, including Wine tasting tour is about tasting wines and not walking in vineyards. Winemakers have tasting rooms (cellars) away from their vineyards. Most of the vineyards are hard to access and we have snakes on the island so we do not wanna enter the fields.
We do pass vineyards by car, which are private property.

Fantastic family owned winery. The owner was great at explaining everything about the wine and winemaking. Great ambiance. The wines were good, and so was the olive oil! It was a nice drive with great views, as we rode to the wine tasting, from Hvar.

Our wine tour guide was so kind and knowledgeable not only about the local wineries but also about the history of the area. She took us to a local family winery then gave us a brief tour of the surrounding areas in long Napoleons Lookout. This afforded us some beautiful views of Hvar! Great host.

Thank you for your review. We are really trying to do our best to present our island of Hvar and are really sorry to hear that the Wine tasting tour you've booked was way too expensive for what you've got.
Tours are described on the websites and it is clear that Wine tasting tour is in one (1) of the mentioned wineries after your are picked up. In a section "What to Expect" it is clear that you will be picked up, you will be driven to the winery, you will taste 4-5 different kinds of wine with snacks and you'll return to your departure point.
In the winery you were treated with 5 different kinds of wines and 1 extra wine to try and when we heard that you liked chocolate you have been driven in to the next town to buy some artisan chocolate, what was something done totally extra and out of the programme.
Your wine tasting was exactly what is described (and more) and we are sorry that you were disappointed as you've missed some of the reading.
If you will come again on the island of Hvar we would be happy to show you more of the island.

My daughter and I had a personalized tour with Dinko. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tour at a small family run winery. We sampled not only “Orange” wine, red wine, and dessert wines and had a small snack of fresh herb infused olive oils as well. The wine sampling was fun and I couldn’t resist buying a bottle of red wine and a small bottle of olive oil. Both were well packed for our flight.
Dinko drove around the island and took “old roads” so we could see Stari Grad, other small villages, and Napoleon’s fort. At one point Dinko stopped and picked fresh almonds for us to sample.
Dinko was extremely knowledgeable about the vegetation, history, and life in Hvar. It was an amazing tour.

Really great trip with a great transfer host showing us so much of the island and amazing wine making! The transfer took in great views of the towns and interior we never would have seen and our host went out of the way to take the old scenic road when she heard we wouldn’t be taking it otherwise and peppered in so much info about the island. The wine tasting was excellent with a ton of attention from the winemaker himself sharing his story and educating us about the wines. Would definitely recommend this tour!
