Check the tide schedule
They have a shoe wash, but a second pair of shoes has probably wise.
Don't do it on a rainy day. Well worth a visit to the Hopewell Rocks. From the stairs down continue south and then walk back past stairs to see northeast to see more and exit up the ramp. Perfect for seniors!
You do not have to take the stairs back up at the end of your walk around Hopewell Rocks. There is a ramp that works well
That it was amazing and everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was delicious.
Breathtaking. Be prepared to step on mud if you happen to walk on the ocean floor. Be careful on stepping on the seaweed or completely avoid it. It’s kinda slippery. Wear washable footwear. There’s a wash area for your feet in case it gets muddy when you get back upstairs. If you’re traveling with kids there’s a lot of play area around the park. The stairs to the ocean floor is about 15 minutes walk from the entrance of the park. You can also ride a shuttle for a fee. 2 CAD. There’s gift shop and restaurant too.
Travellers should know that this activity is not available at Hopewell Park. There is no check in place and the park does not know how many visitors are being scammed into purchasing tickets from Viator
Got there mid morning on a very warm day! About 2 hrs before low tide. Plenty of parking space available. Allow plenty of time to walk and explore the beach. Be selective of footwear as the red clay can stain.

We purchased our tickets ahead of time and I think there should be an admission window just for those who have. Although you handled the crowds well. Everyone was friendly. Loved the shuttle.
If walking on floor when tide is out it can be very mucky choose older footwear.
Amazing experience!
Amazing experience witnessing nature’s wonder. We came in early at low tide, walked the ocean floor and then had fun seeing the water rise. It comes in real fast.
It is easy access to parking lots and great spacing up front for campers. Getting through the entrance, buy tickets ahead, makes it quicker. Beautiful, well kept park. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and informative. Take the shuttle to the stairs and observation area, makes it easier especially for us not so young people ! You have to make 2 visits, for low and high tides, the changes are beyond words. Enjoy
This is a unique experience and our family enjoyed it! It is a beautiful park and my children enjoyed the play structure and outdoor games while we waited for the tide to change.
It is a very neat experience to walk on the ocean floor. Then see the water come up where you just walked.
We spent a few extremely pleasant hours at Hopewell Rocks. Walking the ocean floor was so impressive and one of my trip highlights. We went early in the morning and almost felt we had the ocean to ourselves. The Bay of Fundy is spectacular and well worth the visit!
Don’t take your shoes off, it’s is too rocky. We loved our time. It was worth it for us to take the shuttle.
This is a Must See Stop! Fantastic looking rock formations. Walking amongst these giant rock formations gave me the feeling of walking in another time. Awesomeness
Well worthwhile. Make sure to check tide times before visiting. The 2-day pass is a great way to see both the high and low tides.
It is a bit of a hike from the welcome centre to the steps going down to the ocean floor - maybe 15 minutes. There is a shuttle available for $2 each way, but my sister and I (both seniors) enjoyed the walk. It is worthwhile seeing the rocks at both high tide and low tide. This is a site not to be missed.
I am so glad that we had an opportunity to see the tides on the Bay of Fundy. We timed it so that we were able to walk down on the ocean floor. I wish the park had longer hours, so that we could see the Rocks at high tide.
I also was surprised that the employees didn't know much about the tidal bore that we were able to observe in downtown Moncton.
Hopewell Rock is a phenomenal experience. A couple of things to know: Viator voucher is super easy - you pull up the voucher go to the entrance of Hopewell Park and they give you a receipt which is your tickets for 2 days of admission. Check the time of the rides before you go - we got there early at park open (8 am) and low tide was at 9:20 so we got to walk the ocean floor. There are plenty of washrooms along the path to get to the rocks. We returned at 3 pm that same time to see it all at high tide. It is amazing the shift and tide and difference.

Visiting Hopewell Rocks was definitely one of the highlights of our road trip. We arrived about two hours after low tide and still had plenty of time to walk on the ocean floor and explore. As we wandered through other areas of the park, the tide was rising, so we got to see the water at different stages. We stayed for roughly four hours and were able to cover all the main spots. Highly recommended!
Amazing to see the flower pots and walk around them during low tide and then they are in the water a few hours later.
It is a very interesting place to visit, walking on the ocean floor. If timed correctly for low tide the rock pillars are amazing . I recommend taking the shuttle if a person in your group tires easily
Although there are lots of steps and walking it is definately worth the trip. So beautiful and would do it again
Make sure you check the tide schedule. Bring walking it is rocky and/or water shoes if you plan on getting your feet wet in the water.
Worth seeing. High and low tides amazing. Park is beautiful and restaurant has good food. Hiking trails all around the park.

Come for the high tide and stay for the low tide. There is a playground for kids, a restaurant and wonderful pathways! The experience is worth every penny! Check out the gift store, very tempting ;)
