Great way to see Ho Chi Minh from street level, visiting a working class neighborhood, stopping at a friendly little neighborhood coffee shop, and seeing various points around Districts 3 and 5 away from the standard tourist attractions of District 1. Our tour leader Joey was great—full of energy and good information—and the cyclo drivers were careful and more than competent.

Very poor trip that we had to cut short. Very poor English speaker, kept us in the sun and no shade. Took us to the awful Chinese market that has very poor quality and cheap things. Bike trips far to long with no commentary or where we were or what going to see. Should have been English speaker guide. Very very poor, cut is short and asked To leave!!

We hear you about the midday heat — it can be unforgiving, especially during the dry season. We truly understand how that might have impacted your comfort, and we’re working on improving shaded stops and timing adjustments where possible.
At the same time, we want to gently express how much heart and effort go into these journeys. The cyclo drivers, many of whom are older Vietnamese uncles who have worked hard all their lives, take great pride in showing visitors their city. They don’t just pedal — they carry stories, memories, and the weight of tradition. It’s not just a job for them, it’s their way of staying connected and contributing with dignity.
As for the Chinese market and local temples: we understand that not every visitor connects with them in the same way. But to many Saigonese, these places — messy, loud, imperfect — are sacred in their own right. They reflect the living heritage of the community, with all its colors, chaos, and charm. We humbly ask for an open mind when encountering such spaces. Beauty isn’t always curated; sometimes, it’s real because it’s raw.
We absolutely regret that you didn’t feel this spirit during your experience, and we’ve reached out to you directly to offer a refund, as we never want any guest to walk away feeling unheard.

We went on this tour with our 3 children (3, 7, and 11 year old) and we all really enjoyed our experience.
Barney our guide had exceptional knowledge of the local area, and was wonderful at explaining everything to us.
The cyclo riders who took us around were friendly, and made riding through the busy traffic look easy.
Definitely recommend this tour as an interesting way to explore the city.

The Cyclo part of the tour is great as is the stop at the flower market and the Chinese Temple. The wholesale market is not so inspiring. The guide was excellent. It was no big deal but the promised bottle of water failed to materialise. I would recommend this just because it is so different

Mr Lac the 'driver' of our Cyclo. Lovely humble man who was an absolute expert at navigating the organised chaos on the streets of Ho Chi Min. In our 3 hours, i never saw another Cyclo, so I felt very lucky to have this unique way of seeing the sights of the city with my excellent young guide Nam, who followed us on a scouter. He was an excellent guide, wonderful English and with a comprehensive knowledge about Vietnam and this great City. We visited the lovely flower market, was taught how to fold back my lotus, onto the 'big market ' rather than the tourist one, finishing at the oldest Buddhists temple. I learnt a lot, met 2 lovely locals and had the best time. Highly recommended

This was a great tour because we saw parts of Vietnam we never would have seen if we had been in a car. The oldest parts of Saigon, we walked into the best market we’ve seen so far and the coffee lesson was worth the trip. Barney went along with us on his motorbike to explain what we were seeing at every stop, and the cyclo-riders also pointed many things out to us.

Fabulous guide Luang (Ethan) made our trip memorable and meaningful. He showed us so many little things along the way that I never would have noticed. The cyclo ride is my favorite way to move around - like being in a little bubble while the business of HCMC proceeds around us. Luang introduced me to sugar cane juice that I am in love with!!! The markets were beautiful and hectic and fascinating. A bonus for us when we approached the pagoda was the dragon dancers setting off for a parade. While not part of the tour, it was a favorite moment. So exciting and wonderfully colorful both physically and spiritually! We spent lots of time learning about the gods and goddesses Of Vietnamese Buddhism which we loved. I would say this was one of my favorite tours after almost a month in Vietnam. Best guide for sure!!!

The private cyclo tour with Lyn through the various districts in Ho Chi Minh City was an exciting way to see the city during the day. This tour takes you through the flower market with the various stands with the prettiest and freshest flowers that are delivered everyday then to the largest China market in the area where you can shop for souvenirs or anything you want to take home at wholesale prices. The tour ends at a Ming Dinesty temple where you are allowed to pray regardless of your faith. We even stopped to enjoyed a cold freshly squeezed sugar cane drink. Well worh the time and money for the Guide and cycle drivers. Make sure to carry money for shopping and to tip these hard working folks.

In visiting Ho Chi Minh City seven of us friends did the cycle ride from our hotel downtown to Chinatown. It was a fabulous experience seeing the city from the street and local level. Our guide Manh was so friendly and accommodating. He gave us lots of information about the culture. The peddlers have lots of energy to get those cycles through the busy streets. The traffic was very courteous of our slow pace. We visited a couple markets and a temple. All very interesting but loved the ride in the streets the best.
