I got to know the local side of Saigon and eat the best food... with help of my wonderful guide 'Ha'. I would recommend for everyone looking for offbeat but pleasant and knowledgeable tour in Saigon. Just dont be scared ofbthe scooter :)

Solo but still fun

I ended up being alone with 2 tour guides, one a trainee. It was still a lot of fun. The discussions were probably more revealing as I got to find out more about the lives of the guides which was interesting. Definitely got a different perspective sitting on a scooter. The restaurants were popular locat spots that I would not have ventured to go into.

Really recommend. Taken to authentic food stops we would never have found ourselves. Great fun being on the back of a moped whizzing through the traffic. Charming hosts who spoke good English so we learnt a lot about food and culture.

I did the food tour with my best friend, her mom and my mom and the 4 of us had such a lovely time! I really recommend the night tour as it is really exciting to see ho chi mihn at night- all the busy streets and bright lights and you are able to discover many more parts of the city via motor bike. Our 4 tour guides were so so helpful, sweet and knowledgeable. We were able to try lots of different cuisine and learn about the history of the food.

Fantastic evening. Hotel pick up for the 4 of us straight onto the back of scooters wizzing around this vibrant city visiting 4 different districts enjoying amazing locally made food. My husband and I highly enjoyed this tour. Our hosts Lucy and Phat were wonderful and friendly. They skilfully whizzed us around Saigon on mopeds and took us to four different restaurants. We learned more about Vietnamese good and culture along the way. They were very accommodating with us as we had to change the time due to the fact that my phone had gotten stolen earlier in the day and we had to spend sometime at the police station to get a report. Thanks Saigon Food Tour - highly recommend.

Thank you so much for this evening food tour. We had two amazing guides Ve and Spring. Such lovely friendly and knowledgeable girls. Would recommend this trip to anybody. THE BEST TOUR EVER!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! I tried so many different foods - all very safe, I did not get sick I was afraid of that when travelling to Vietnam - but it was fine. The food is delicious and travelling on the back of a scooter was so much fun. The tour guides are awesome and love to chat about food. They even showed us how to roll a fresh spring roll. I ate things that I would have never tried otherwise there was no pressure at all! and they were delicious!! This is a MUST DO when in Saigon. You won't regret it!

We were a little worried about this tour at first, considering the lack of traffic rules in HCMC especially motorcycles. However, we were so happy we did this. We would never have ventured to the areas we went otherwise and always felt very safe. Highly recommend.

We had a great trip on this street food tour. Our guides were very welcoming and had great conversation in English with them about many aspects of both the food tour and life in Vietnam in general. The fun was on the back of the motor scooter and they took great care of us. The food was plentiful and we really enjoyed the atmosphere on the tour and at the restaurants. If you are looking for 'fine dining', this is not the tour. If you are looking to be brave and taste the local dishes with the locals, this is perfect for you. Ho Chi Minh City is such a crazy, anything goes kind of place, and we were able to experience it well on this tour. We would never have tried the foods that we had the opportunity to try with out being with the tour guides and trusting the food places. I highly recommend this tour. I have a slight food allergy, and they accommodated this with no issue at all also. Thanks to our two young guides, they made the night really personal for us.

If you only do one thing while in Saigon then this is it. What an absolutely fabulous experience. Quality food, friendly hosts, careful transportation...what more can I say. We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend this tour, I would definitely do it again next time in Saigon. Our tour guides Bao, Michelle and Phuong Trang Jenny were just brilliant, they spoke excellent English and we had some great conversations about Saigon, food, ingredients and British TV shows! We set off in heavy rain which was great fun and we stayed 'quite' dry under the ponchos provided, and all felt safe with the skilled riding of the team. Stop 1 - We had traditional pancakes rolled in salad leaves, lovely. Stop 2 - We had local noodles, yum. Stop 3 - We had BBQ food and beers which was amazing, the highlight of the tour. Stop 4 - Vietnamese ice cream desserts, what not to like!

Saigon was an experience! We enjoy spicy food and didn't want to eat what we can at home. We thought that the best way was to let someone else pick the venues for dinner. The Street Food Tour was just what we wanted. The food was authentic and the venues had great atmosphere. We ended up being the only 2 westerners in each of the 4 venues. Also a highlife was to be chaffered around on the back of a 100cc motorbike, which is an experience considering to traffic congestion and the thousands of bikes on the road. The 2 guides that we had were great and they also filled us in on what its like to live in Saigon. If you want to have a fun experience JUST DO IT!!!

One of the best things we did on our 2 week holiday across Asia. Jo and Thu were our scooter drivers and they made us feel extremely safe in the crazy traffic of Ho Chi Minh city. My partner is really tall and we were worried he may be too big for the bike, but there was plenty of room. We actually almost enjoyed the scooter ride itself more than the food, it was so fun. The food was great, yummy soup, pancakes and BBQ. I even tried food I had never tried before like frog and goats udder! Would do it again in a heart beat and highly recommend to everyone!

So far the best tour i've joined! Biggest credit to the team--Jenny and Ryan, who are really friendly and communicate well with us. Also, compared to walking, i guess motobike is a much more efficient way to commute and shouldn't you try that when in Saigon?! The food was great, without a doubt. Personal favourite, crab noodle and pancake. BBQ was ok but not standing out that much.

This was one of the best tours we had during our entire trip in SE Asia, First I was very impressed with Saigon it will rival Hong Kong as a industry power in ten years if not less, Our guides were Lily and TB xD they were so much fun, we were on a cruise and had a activity prior to the food tour. TBxD texted me we met at the Opera House and they had yellow Saion Food Tour t-Shirts and my wife rode with Lily and I rode with TBxD. I played Football in college and Body build after and the rear tire of the scooter had a rough time with me on the back! we went to three different places to eat 1. was the pancakes and wraps 2. Was the hot Pho and Iced Coffee which was surprisely good. the third place was a on the table BarB Que where we had goat udder which was pretty good. I had my first beer in 21 years Saigon Beer it was decent the frozen beer was sold out. My guide learned English by watching American Movies but he was a good driver because we rode all over town and not one other scooter touched us. This was a great experience that I will never forget and I highly recommend forget the food the drivers made the trip!
