Very friendly, flexible and knowledgeable tour guide. Just the right amount of time to absorb the story of Vietnam.

Victor gave us an excellent introduction to Ho Chi Minh city. It's not just the buildings but the stories behind them that count. Very friendly, patient and excellent English.

Kevin was very accommodating when we let him know we’d be a little late because of traffic. He was also able to juggle things so we could get back to our bus in time for transportation back to our ship.
That said, a couple of things were disappointing. One of the main items on the tour, the cathedral, was completely covered in scaffolding and closed for renovation. We wish another venue could have been substituted.
Kevin was very eager for us to see the War Remnants Museum. Although we booked the tour knowing this was included, we would have preferred to have a shorter time there with less emphasis on the horrors of war and less “lecturing” that felt to us like propaganda. We lived through the Vietnam War; Kevin did not. We know it was an awful time for his country and for ours. We would have preferred to experience the new, energized and engaged Vietnam, rather than its past.
We enjoyed the end of the tour on the Book Street with a stop at a coffee shop and would have loved to spend more time exploring that street and other interesting neighborhoods of Ho Chi Minh City.

Fabulous tour with Justin who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly. He explained the history of his country and the significance of the buildings we visited and also the aspirations for the future of his country. He also helped us to cross the roads safely! Wonderful thank you.

One of the ways I evaluate guided tours was how well I could have done it by myself. For this tour, I feel like I could have gotten most of the same experience if I did it myself and read the summary of each place we stopped from Wikipedia. We were to the War Remnants museum and were told we could go inside at our own place because all exhibits were in English. It is a big museum and it would have helped to have the guide show us the highlights. Other places we stopped were primarily facts recited about what we were seeing. We did have coffee at the end and had a good discussion of what it was like to live in Vietnam. This was the best part of the tour.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Dear Scott, thank you for your feedback! I would like to explain with the parts that did not meet your satisfaction about the tour as below:
1. The War Remnants Museum: Guests will have free time walking around inside the museum to experience the whole Vietnam War story by themselves. Then, of course, our tour guides always explain and provide the additional info that are not told inside the museum. We believe that by going through this process, guests will have more perspectives about the biggest war of our people in the past.
2. Most of the highlights we walk through, our tour guide will always provide both basic information and local story, which only locals know about the place. And yes, the local story gives guests more impression about the attraction.
We thank you for your joining and walking with us. This review will help us improve much in the future about guests' experiences.

This was a nice way to spend a morning seeing the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City. The tour guide was very friendly and personable, and gave good insight into the culture of Vietnam and the sights we saw (post office, Notre Dame, Presidential Palace).
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thank you Joseph for your positive review! We hope you had a great time in Vietnam and see you again real soon! Cheers ^^

It was a small group tour (only 4 people, including 3 from our family from India, and one lady from El Salvador), with a very amicable and knowledgeable guide Kevin. We started at the War Remnant museum, got to spend more than an hour. Within museum, it was self-guided, with Kevin adding his context at the end of the tour. The museum is very well curated, wasn’t crowded, and it was really a very absorbing experience. There was a special exhibition at ground floor also we could avail. As Kevin put it, the nation has chosen “to forgive, but not to forget”. Salute to the spirit!
Next two stops - Reunification Palace and Notre-Dame Cathedral – didn’t take much time. Kevin told the Palace is a museum and very similar to the War Remnant museum. And the Cathedral seems to be under renovation for years now. It was a nice, leisurely walk through the core districts and the 23rd September park on a bright day in February, listening to the fascinating stories of Vietnam’s yesterday and today. Our next stop was at the world famous SaiGon post office. We got to spend about half an hour there, appreciating the architecture, watching the staff going about their work, also picking up a few beautiful souvenirs. Finally, Kevin got us to the book street, and treated us with complimentary coffee at the “Bookstore” café. After the group dispersed, we spent an hour at the book street, lapping up the nice ambience, and picking up a few books on Vietnam as well (there aren’t many English language books though).
Overall, it was a well-organized and very balanced tour, not too hectic – doesn’t make you tired with too many stops or overwhelm with too many things to see. It was our last day in Vietnam, and the tour suited us well. Definitely recommend it!

Dear Abhirup Mukherjee, this is a huge support from writing an awesome review for our unique experience where we gave our beloved guests an introduction about Ho Chi Minh city! Thank you so much and we hope to have another chance to be your local tour guide in the near future! Cheers ^^
CydyDiannel_P, Jan 2023
It was a great tour. Love that he gave me his own opinion about the history, and he shared his family personal experience during the war. It felt short, and we didn't go in the palace, though.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Dear Cydy, thank you for your honest review about our tour and its experience!
In explaining the Palace stop, which the tour guide already told the group that we will come back to let you guys come visit inside so that guests will have more free time but there were no one requested after that. Again, we did let the guests come inside the Palace.
However, thank you for your feedback and I will inform other future guests this notice clearer. Wish you everything best in life! Cheers

My mom and I traveled from the USA to Vietnam and ended up booking a walking tour of Saigon with Kevin! He is trustworthy, knowledgeable and fun to talk to about life in Vietnam. We liked him so much we booked a street food tour with him as well. I will be giving his number to any friends who plan on seeing Saigon!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Dear Drew, thank you so much for your beautiful review about the experience! Sharing the story about Saigon is my true happiness. I wish you and your mom everything best and hope to see you guys again real soon! Cheers girl ^^

Nice overview of historical center Saigon (aka Ho Chi Minh City) including a MUST SEE visit to War of Remembrance to set the perspective (albeit, slightly one-sided) for later conversation with the guide and further understanding of both Vietnam and Saigon. My guide, Dickies, was a very thoughtful, intelligent companion who conversed on many topics which culminated in our last stop - a coffee house in the well-known "book street".
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Thank you for your kind review! We wish you everything best in life and hope to see you real soon in the near future! Cheers ^^

I can highly recommend this tour! Kevin was a very likeable, polite and well informed person! As I was on the tour on my own, he offered excellent customer service by picking me up from my hotel and taking us to the first stop, the War Remnants Museum, here kevin allowed to walk round the museum at my own leisure which was good as there was no rush! He then talk me on a walking trip through some other parts of the city to the Norte dame cathedral and the post office also, finally ending up for a coffee at the Ho Chi Minh Book street! He was very well informed about the city and also the Vietnam war! I highly recommend going on this tour of you are ever in Ho Chi Minh City and get a perspective from a local person! Top job, Kevin 👍🏻👍🏻
