We are based in Hilo, on the east side of the island, and therefore, we provide hotel pick-ups only in the Hilo area. Our tour begins at 9:30 a.m., and pick-up times are as follows: Airport travelers: Pick-up at Baggage Claim D around 9:00 a.m. Cruise ship guests: Pick-up at the “Pre-Arranged Pick-Up” area around 9:00 a.m. Hotel guests: Pick-up in the hotel lobby between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. Please note that actual pick-up times may be slightly earlier or later depending on traffic and scheduling. We will contact each guest within 24 hours of the tour to confirm their specific pick-up time and location. We look forward to welcoming you soon. Mahalo!

Our driver, Mike, was so knowledgeable! He took us around Hilo; black sand beach, farmer’s market, King Kamahema statue, drove by Queen Liliuokani park, which was beautiful, and then to Rainbow Falls. Beautiful day to enjoy the falls and see rainbows. Be sure and don’t miss the optical illusion.
Volcanoes National Park was fascinating and amazing! Beautiful day for viewing even though no volcanic activity other than smoke! Mike embodied the spirit of Hawaii. Kind, thoughtful, looking out for others at every turn. Viator hires great guides here! Thank you Mike and kudos Viator.

This would have been a great tour but the bus was hot. When we started the tour we sat up front, but were told we were switching buses. We got off and then picked up a bunch of other passengers. I ended up at the very back of the same bus. I asked about the AC and was told that it was on full blast. On the way back they finally opened up the windows and that was decent. After lunch all the windows were shut again. Way too much money to be hot and miserable most of the day. The driver and the guide were very nice and seemed to be doing their best.

It was a good tour. Sadly there were a lot of clouds and we couldn’t see the mountains but still got to experience the lava fields, lava tube and we saw a turtle. We were a small group… my family was four and there were nine total in the group. It was a great tour, the guide was informative and interesting.

It was a great experience! Unfortunately we had rain and clouds but it did not take away from the beauty of the sites! The crater was amazing to see! The lava tube was great! The waterfall was so pretty too!
They were so easy to communicate with because we were coming in by cruise ship and had to go through immigration upon arrival. They waited for us and we joined the group a few minutes late. Cousin Ernie was great! He shared his knowledge of the island with us and added to the experience. Thank you for a great day!

Auntie Karen was an excellent tour guide on this trip. Very informative, great sites and overall good tour. One downside was the choice for the lunch stop. It was after 300pm at a run down food court with limited options. Other than that, it was a great time.

This tour was our least favorite during our visit to Hawaii. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but seemed a little disinterested. Our lunch stop was a food court near Walmart with zero healthy options and nothing our kids would actually eat. We stopped at a Macadamia nut farm for lunch around 2 pm (tour started at 9am) and the kids were really hungry but the cafe had closed for the day, hence the food court. You can drive to the volcano and the steam vents and lava tube without paying hundreds of dollars for a tour. Save yourself the time and money and drive yourself.

Pick up was good collect at the port
Was expecting more information on the sightseeing tour And thought the tour guide would come with us and show us what we were looking at and directions where to go !!
Nearly drove off without two people on the tour!
Need to always do a head count!

The tour agent stopped at a grocery store for lunch - She said there was a deli inside the grocery store where we could buy sandwiches. In truth, the deli only would slice meats. It did not assemble sandwiches at the deli counter. The store had only 2 choices of pre-made sandwiches: tuna sandwich or egg salad sandwiches - Both were not good. I knew this grocery store was a problem when neither the tour agent nor the driver went inside the grocery store - They brought their own food from home. Very disappointing choice. The tour company should be ashamed for selecting such a terrible place for us to buy lunch!

This tour was incredible. Ernie, our tour guide was superb. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Ernie gave us flexibility with our stops. Would definitely do again!!

This tour was good—it covered a lot of territory and we saw a number of sites on the big island. What would have made it better was if our guide had gotten out at some of the stops and provided more information on what we were seeing, e.g., at the various volcano stops. After a while it became more of a hop on/off type experience.

Marissa was our guide/driver and she was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about the volcanoes and history of Hawaii. She was flexible in case the volcano decided to erupt and would have changed our tour around to maximize our time to see the best things. We would highly recommend this tour and Marissa.

This was a great tour, we headed to Volcano National Park and Rainbow Falls. Our guide was Cousin Ernie and we was Fabulous, He took us to Volcano National Park first to he beat the crowds so we had plenty of time. We then made out way back to Hilo were he showed us more sights, and we had plenty of free time to grab lunch and shop. Ernie, being a native to the Big Island had prenty of information to share. I would do this tour again.

Rainbow Falls was beautiful. Volcanoes National Park was neat. We saw sea turtles at a beach. The guide was very talkative. It was an enjoyable excursion.

We had such a wonderful experience today exploring Volcano National Park and Rainbow Falls in Hilo with our tour guide, Marissa.
She was engaging, entertaining, informative, and made the entire day so interesting from start to finish. You could tell she truly loves what she does and loves sharing the beauty and history of Hawaii.
She also made us feel completely comfortable the whole day with her excellent driving and calm, friendly energy. The tour wouldn’t have been the same without her. Highly recommend! 🌋🌿🌈

Auntie Karen gave a fabulous tour! Not only did she take us to all the places required, she took us by long's drugstore at the request of one of the others on the tour so we could all stock up on some personal items. Our lunch spot was top notch too, as some had fish sandwiches and my spouse and I shared a chicken katsu platter. Yummy. Auntie Karen also told us many entertaining stories about life on the island and family gatherings. You will really enjoy her tales! She works for Green tours.

Got picked up right at the cruise port. Went to a black sand beach. We stopped at a local market and got made to order sandwiches that we took to the Volcano Park. Saw the crater from two different locations. We walked two different trails throughout the park, which included a walk through a lava flow tunnel. The trip ended at a chocolate factory. Mike our guy, was very good and very knowledgeable about the area.

Mike was a good communicator, knows Hilo and gave us he history as well as what we were looking at. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. The clouds and fog made seeing the volcano negligible. It was not Mike's fault, we just drew a bad day on our cruise schedule. there was nothing anyone could do.

The visitor center is closed due to construction. Our driver did not narrate very much. The rainbow falls was beautiful, through congested at the time of day we stopped. The Volcano National park was as expected. The stops were good, but the walk through the desolation area was a bit longer than I expected. The lava tube was in a lush and tropical area, it was a bit crowded. The extra stops at the farmers market, sandwich shop for lunch to carry to the NP and the specialty candy store were added perks.

Excellent guided tour through a little bit of Hilo to the black sands beach and Rainbow Falls, out to the Volcano National Park, and down to the Thurston lava tube.
We had Auntie Karen (yes, that was really her name) who gave us an excellent tour. She added some personal touches and related some personal history that helped keep us entertained on the way and back.

So much fun! We were in a small group, 6 of us, so much better than 50 people being herded around. Our tour guide Marissa was a wealth of local info and a great storyteller. We had lunch at a local plate lunch restaurant, so good! The black sand beaches, craters, and lava tubes were amazing. We had a blast!

We lucked out with only six of us on this tour! Talk about a good time, our guide Marissa showed us the best of Hilo, seeing the volcano crater, lava tubes, rainbow falls and so much more. It was a fun day and Marissa made it entertaining and fun.
