We had such a great time! Manuel was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be with! And even though we had already read the book and watched various shows on Corrie ten Boom, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and learned even more! I would recommend this to anyone interested in the history of Corrie ten Boom and Haarlem.

Much is covered about the life of Corrie Ten Boom. There was not a great deal of walking involved. A lot of information was given. A must for history lovers.

A must do tour of remembrance

Lisa_S, Jul 2026
This is an important tour to take. A reminder that ordinary citizens can do extraordinary things to save others during war time.

Corrie Tan Boom House

Steve_W, Jun 2026
A great experience. Our guide was great. He was fun and knowledgeable about the history of WW II. A great tour of the city. The Corrie Ten Boom house was a bit of a disappointment. There was no one to give a tour of the house.

A great tour

FANTASTIC summary on the “Hiding Place” with beautiful, memorable and meaningful sights to go along. Our guide was friendly, engaging and a great storyteller with deep respect for the resistance.

Living History

Read the Corrie Ten Boom book “The Hiding Place” before the tour, it will add a greater understanding of this already fascinating tour. Highly recommended.

Awesome Experience in Haarlem

Don_B, May 2026
The tour was very interesting in telling the story of the watchmaker and the Ten Boom family. What made the tour so special for us was the incredible tour guide, Manuel. He brought the experience alive to us with his passion and understanding of the history. Thank you!

Manuel the marvelous

Manuel was great. Knowledgeable, patient with the old folks. Would like an overview of where we’re going as we start.

Fantastic Tour!

Kevin_H, Apr 2026
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Manuel! He is pleasant to be around and he touched on many sites around Haarlem that were significant to the WWII hardships experienced in that area, the Netherlands, and beyond. His talks were comprehensive and filled with tidbits that we were not aware of. So many folks do not know who Corrie ten Boom and her family were or the role they played in helping to hide Jewish folks. Corrie’s testimony to the love of Christ during those difficult days lives on and Manuel shares her experiences through that lens, with facts that also celebrate the religion on the Jews. Time marches on and the tour that Manuel provides will help young folks understand the significance of hatred and violence inflicted on people who just want to be free to live their lives the way God intended. No matter your religious views, don’t miss this informative and meaningful tour. You will enjoy Manuel and the hours you are with him!

Great tour great tour guide

Wonderful experience, be ready to walk, walk, walk

Gale_W, Apr 2026
A lot of walking is involved. Your guide might walk very briskly, so if you are a senior like us, you need to be up to the challenge. The information and the telling of Corrie ten Boom's story are incredible and very much worth the effort. The buildings are all so well preserved; you feel like you're really walking inside the historical context of her life.

Definitely Book This One!!

Carolyn_K, Mar 2026
The Corrie Ten Boom experience with Manual was very moving and also thorough (if you’ve read the book, you’ll understand). We walked quite a way and I had my 75 year old mother with me who with my help was quite able to keep up (but only just!) The tour will go the full two+ hours and then some so don’t book anything too close as you may miss the ending. Manual as a tour guide is one of the best I’ve had. We did two tours with him (also Anne Frank walking tour) and he was brilliant on both. His passion for the story he tells is obvious and you won’t be disappointed. BRILLIANT!!!

A great time!

Joyce_S, Nov 2025
The tour guide was most engaging and knowledgeable! He made details come alive! He is very good at what he does!

Amazing tour and guide

Wayne_L, Oct 2025
Though the weather sucked, our guide most definitely did not. He was capable, knowledgeable, and professional. His knowledge of the tour and history was well worth the cost. You could tell even he enjoyed it as he didn’t notice the time, and kept telling us interesting details over 30 minutes after the tour was supposed to end.

Great Tour Highly Recommend

Heather_W, Sep 2025
