We had the absolute pleasure of having Damon as our guide for the Seven Star Crags Karst Cave Mirror Lake Bird Islands Private Tour from Guangzhou, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
From the very beginning, Damon went above and beyond. He arrived early at our hotel to greet our group of 26 (even though the usual maximum is 12), instantly putting everyone at ease. Throughout the day, he shared so many interesting insights about Guangzhou and Zhaoqing, bringing the history and culture to life in a way that kept our large group very engaged.
Damon was impressively prepared and incredibly thoughtful. He brought water for us, purchased all the park admission tickets in advance (even though this wasn’t his responsibility), and ensured everything ran smoothly. At lunchtime, he even arranged for the restaurant to prepare an English menu for us and personally helped us communicate our orders. These small but important details made a huge difference in our experience.
What stood out most was Damon’s flexibility, patience, and genuine care for our group. Managing 26 people is no small task, yet he handled it effortlessly and with a smile the entire time.
If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate. Damon truly made the day enjoyable for everyone. Our trip to Guangzhou would not have been the same without him!:))

Seven Star Crags Karst Cave Mirror Lake views amazing , caves and Lake boat tour. Authentic lunch on location was enjoyed. I liked the bamboo leafs wrapped around steamed rice stuffed with pork.
After an electric buggy around lake promenade for a view from other way.
Followed by old city wall tour, above expectations.
We finished with a tour on autonomous bus, then Metro under Caton Tower. Visit to biggest library every seen. Impressive

Full day tour with Zaq and private car from Guanzhou. Lovely nature center near Zhaoqing. We toured the lake, climbed on top of the carst mountain (30min sharp climb) where we had a splendid view in all directions. Had lunch on the lake then visited Dinghu mountain. Zaq did a superb job as a guide. He is patient and accommodating for older guys like me. His English is flawless. I highly recommend this tour.

Our visit to Seven Star Crag was stunning. The guide, Damon, arranges transport for our family of 6 and arrived early at our hotel. As we drove through GZ, he gave us a lovely history lesson about the area in very clear English. We were well prepared by Damon for all the questions that may arise, how to use our health code apps, etc. Frankly, we could not have accomplished this visit without him as the language barrier is just too challenging for our limited language skills.
Damon introduced us to the highlights of the park and then ensure we hit the highlights by keeping us focused without rushing us. As they day grew long, he patiently waited for us to change the plan a bit so my husband could claim to the top. Damon stayed near enough to the kids and I to be accessible, but not so near that we were felt as if we needed to entertain him.
Honestly, if we make it back to GZ, we will seek out Damon just so we can take whichever tour he is leading. He is definitely our favorite tour guide to date!

This was a beautiful national park with animal sanctuaries featuring native Chinese birds as well as the iconic rocky hills Southern China is known for. Our tour guide from Guangzhou local tours, Zack, was extremely accommodating, taking us up to the highest peak where we could see beautiful views of both the park and the city in the distance. I’d recommend this tour and Zack to anyone visiting Guangzhou.

Zack was the absolute best tour guide and I wish I could have taken him with me on the rest of my China trip! He was so patient, flexible, and eager to cater to my needs and interests. I booked my trip less than 24 hours prior, and Zack was great at communicating with me via email to fine tune all the details of my trip. We were able to combine 2 trip options to accommodate my varied interests (7 Star Crag AND kungfu/ lion dance show!). When I had transportation issues that delayed me, Zack was refreshingly calm and solution oriented... yet enthusiastic and passionate about his home town and surrounding area, a true wealth of knowledge. Mr. Cie was a safe, polite driver with a clean, comfy car. Can't go wrong here!
