Our food and city tour with our guide Damon was the absolute highlight of our trip to Guangzhou! He’s a native of the city and his knowledge and passion for its history, culture, (and most importantly its food), were truly exceptional.
From the very beginning, Damon and his team were incredibly flexible and communicative. I was traveling with my older sibling, and we had slightly different interests and energy levels. Our guide listened carefully and crafted a perfectly balanced itinerary that satisfied both of us completely. We experienced the bustling energy of the Qingping market, had pure sugar cane juice and visited Bruce Lee’s father’s house and and even had time to watch the opera performance in the local park.
What made the tour so special was our guide's ability to seamlessly blend the famous landmarks with hidden gems. I highly recommend this tour just given the guide’s knowledgeable approach and friendly outgoing energy!

Don’t miss this tour. There are a lot of tours to pick but what makes this tour stand out is the tour guide Damon. He is extremely fluent in English which you need in Guangzhou as there is no English signs and the locals have limited English. Damon also has extensive knowledge of the city. He is happy to vary the tour to include your needs and tastes and consider if you have special needs in your group. He took us to a local restaurant which was fantastic - we felt like a local.
Highly recommend this tour.

Damon and Candice are super nice and helpful! They went above and beyond to help tailor the itinerary to fulfill the need for the entire family aged from 10 to 80 😅 Ensure the accessibility for my parents who is on wheelchair. The kids enjoy the shopping and all of us enjoy the amazing food! We learned the Guangzhou history, explored the landmarks in Guangzhou.
Canton tower is pretty at night, Pearl River is nice to walk around, the underground shopping mall is huge and more ….. All in all, we can’t appreciate more for Damon and Candice’s arrangement and help. Will definitely recommend them to friends and family who are interested in exploring Guangdong province.

With a bit of prior discussion Damon our guide was able to put together an experience more tailored to our desires - a bit of backstreet, foodie, sights and personal shopping! Excellent tour with Damon, one of the two owners of Guangzhou Tours.
