I think my tour forgot about me, and after about 10 minutes waiting, I messaged them and they said the driver was on his way. I arrived at the ranch and was on a horse about 30 minutes after my initial pickup time. I was told that it was just me today and I had my own guide. He was a very nice young Afghani guide and he was great. He made me feel comfortable on the horse and even took pics of me using my phone at scenic stops. About 30 minutes in, we crossed paths with another group of riders on horseback and he let me know that was my group. So I probably missed a small portion of my ride as I didn’t get to do the whole ride my group did, but I still had a great time.

The sunset horse riding tour with Adventure in Cappadocia was absolutely magical. The guides were incredible—they were so patient, walking alongside us for a lot of the ride and going out of their way to take some amazing photos for us. It really felt like they genuinely cared about us having a great time. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Unsafe and Misleading – Viator Must Vet Operators More Carefully

This was easily one of the most disturbing and misleading tours we’ve ever booked through Viator. The tour was listed as being with Lucky Luke Horse Ranch, but we were taken to an entirely different place — Golden Horse Ranch Cappadocia. What followed was a poorly run, unsafe, and unprofessional experience. Three people fell off their horses, and these were not minor incidents. One rider was assigned a visibly unstable horse and was bizarrely instructed to keep his leg from touching the horse’s side — an extremely awkward and unsafe riding posture. Unsurprisingly, he fell off, was shaking and distressed, and yet the guide encouraged him to get back on. As he approached the horse, it kicked him forcefully with its hind legs. His partner was visibly shaken and refused to continue riding. Another couple was thrown off when their horses became agitated. Both were deeply shaken, and the man sustained visible injuries. There was no first aid, no professional support, and the guides didn’t seem equipped to handle such situations. What’s worse is that the Viator listing is completely misleading. Many of the positive reviews refer to an entirely different ranch — Establo Horse Ranch — and describe a guide named Batuhan (Batu), a family atmosphere, good English, and a relaxing tea stop. None of this matched our experience. Our guide was Arslan, assisted by teenagers who spoke minimal English. There were no stops, no commentary, and no care shown. Viator seriously needs to improve its vetting processes. This felt like a bait-and-switch, with a substandard, potentially dangerous experience being sold under the name and reputation of another operator. The only positives were the timely pickup and that the guides took some nice photos during the ride — but that does not compensate for the safety risks, distressing incidents, and false advertising. Avoid this tour. Viator must take accountability for the experiences it promotes.

I think there is a misunderstanding, the guests who fell did not fall on our side and that was our starting point, the guides who took care of you knew English, and they were telling you what not to do and what you should do, as you know, these are living beings, each of them has a different character and we are telling you that you should do everything.

Such a lovely experience and would definitely recommend! Transfers to and from our hotel was so easy and communication was brilliant, especially as we only booked this experience 2 hours before pick up time! Our guide was brilliant, kind, patient and took time to take photos in beautiful spots en route. We even stopped half way for a Turkish coffee and to take in the breathtaking views. 100% recommend. Thank you!

An excellent horse riding...

An excellent horse riding experience! I was the only one who booked the package as that time was a low season, so I got a very nice private experience. Nothing fancy about the package, but indeed you will experience a warm service from a lovely family. It was my first horse riding experience, and I got a chance to have a ride with Soilo, a beautiful and calm 6 yrs old mare. I was guided by 2 people and a very friendly Turkish Lion baby called Rex. The guide was very patient and always making sure I am safe during the ride, but still gave me autonomy to handle the horse by myself. In the end of the trip they will serve you some Turkish tea to relax a bit after 90 minutes of riding. To manage your expectation, the ride started at 3 PM, so I didnt get the sunset, yet the scenery was still breathtaking tho.

Day in Cappadocia

Earlier in the day we did a sunrise balloon excursion in Cappadocia and ended the same day with a sunset horseback ride through Gnome Park. The scenery was stunning at daybreak and again at sunset. The provider served Turkish tea while we were waiting for other riders and they followed all the necessary safety precautions. Truly a most pleasant experience

My husband and I did the 5:30pm tour and we had a great experience (first time on a horse ever!). The horses are obviously members of this lovely Turkish family and are well cared for and very calm. We started at the family’s ranch, where we were warmly welcomed by 3 generations on the farm. The English was limited but it was enough English to show us how to direct the horses during the ride. 4 handlers went on our ride with our group of about 8-10 people/horses (the handlers I think were the mother, father, and adult children of the family) so we felt very safe. We moved at the pace of a walk, so it’s slow enough to take in the sights and sneak some photos on horseback. At the sunset viewpoint, the guides even asked us to give them our cell phones so they could take photos/video of us, which was so kind of them! I’ve never experienced that before- on these types of tours, usually there will be someone taking photos which then they try to sell to us at the end, so offering this was very kind and unique of them. Sunset ride at 5:30 was beautiful, viewpoint was beautiful. We went with friends from our tour who were more experienced riders and they also had a great time. Great way to walk through the fairy chimneys and see cave homes. Tip this family generously- the memories created on this wholesome and fun experience far exceeds the cost!

Amazing horse drive with a good instructor

Batuhan gave good instructions. He is very patiently. And quide you very well. In the past I had an tour with another company and it was so terrified. That hors guide was every time angry at the tourists who was trying to ride the horse which is not easy and not everyone had de experience. He was nt patiently and was cursing!!

Being a person that has ridden horses for many years I was looking for a tour that was professional in horse care and welfare. Batuhan clearly takes care of his horses well and was also able to cater the tour to riders of different level of experience. I enjoyed the beautiful views and the whole tour very much.

Great time and expertly ran. Guide and owner were both professionals. They took us to amazing views. This was my wife’s first horse riding experience and she felt very safe. The guide used a lead rope from his horse to hers so she could just enjoy the ride and the views

An excellent escape in the surrounding mountains. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The ranch is very near Göreme, the horse ride takes you to a plateau where you'll see two valleys and great landscape. The horse are soft and easy to command.

Yes, the view of valley is stunning. No need to explain anymore. This is my first time riding experience. The horse may be esurient, but after you give him the signal, he will listen to you. Don’t be scared. And he will follow the other horse one by one, so actually, as the first time rider, just need to trust your horse, relax and enjoy your ride. Groom is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for my groom, I have an excellent and memorable riding experience.

Amazing tour on the horse. We were little apprehensive but they came and picked us up from the hotel. The ranch was 5/10mins away from the hotel but the tour was lovely, halfway we had a little break and they took pictures of us on the horses. Definitely recommend this one for sure and it's decent priced too.

天河の漫画を読んだことがある世代にはたまらないツアーです。ハットゥサじゃないけど。夕陽に染まるカッパドキアの有名な風景を楽しみながらの、1時間強の乗馬ツアーでした。1人旅、英語が苦手な日本人、乗馬もほぼ未経験でもなんら問題なかったです。スタッフも馬スタッフも優しく丁寧でした。また、ラブバレーやレッドバレーなどの有名どころもちゃんと通るので、車よりも馬で回ってみたいと言う方にもおすすめです！日本人にはあまり馴染みはないかもですが、whatsappを通して連絡が来るので、あわせてDLをおすすめします。
