Important Remarks:
Hotel Selection:
The hotel selection depends on the category of hotel that you choose (Tour Options). Once you choose the hotel class of preference, we will specify to you which hotels (belonging to the class chosen) are available for the dates of your trip. Hotels are categorized in the following classes: Economic Class, Tourist Class, Tourist Superior Class and First Class. All the hotels have been carefully chosen by us after close inspection.
Restaurants
This also depends on the chosen hotel class, as not all hotels have restaurant services. Meals are served in the “meal of the day” style; however, if you choose First Class hotels you will have more variety and gourmet-style meals. By patronizing local restaurants we contribute to the local economy and support sustainable tourism.
Guides
Guides will accompany you throughout all excursions and visits. They will not go with you on the speedboats between islands either. Guides are certified by the Galapagos National Park - if you feel that their guidance does not meet your expectations, feel free to leave a complaint at the National Park Direction to help improve the quality of service in the islands.
Public Speedboats
It is recommended that you take a seasickness pill if you are sensitive to sea-sickness before each ride between islands. It is also recommended that you carry on small plastic bags in case of seasickness.

Lizards, Lava Rocks and Cactus

Top of the line accommodations was only 3 star and did not accept credit cards when we were stuck and had to stay another 2 nights. Apparently tour operator did not have a good track record in paying the hotel on a timely basis. Some of the included "shuttle/transportation" required climbing up into an open air jeep like arrangement. The 8km volcano hike was actually 8km in and another 8km out. The Flamingo Bay excursion consisted of 3 Flamingos. Basically if you are into lizards, lava rocks, cactus and have the energy of a 20 year old, and are on a budget, this is the place for you. If you like cats, 5 star hotels and your energy level is more mature, this is not the place.

I would have given a 4 star but for a few suggestions. More organization at the airport pickup, better communication from the arriving tour person, and most importantly way better quality of food and more variety.But the breakfasts were amazingly wonderful but the lunches and dinners were much to be desired. We were offered for lunch and dinner their local dish which would be fine really except it was french fries, white rice and either really tough beef, super dried out chicken and the fish was a slab of not great tuna. These were all smothered in horrible sauces. The soups were ok not great. For the sack lunch that we made for one outing, that was a joke. There was a large can of tuna plopped in a bowl with nothing added to it to spread so it was chunks of it plopped on bread. Totally not edible. As far as the accommodations were spot on, except for the outrageous price for two shots of amaretto and one bottle of sprite for 27.00 at the Wooden House The activities and our tour guide was wonderful.

Disappointed. I understand the scheduled activities may be changed, but over all, the 5-day tour is not well planed/organized. Not to mention on the 5th day, we supposed to stop by The Gemelos on the way to the airport. Never happened.
