Well coordinated, relaxed way to make the most of your time

This tour was a great option for me, with transport, accomodation and activities all sorted in advance. This was really helpful so that I didn't have to spend my short time in the Galapagos trying to decide what to do and how to do it. If you have more time, staying on other islands would be a good thing to do. But Santa Cruz was a good base for me as I only had 2 full days. I was able to see a lot thanks to the tour coordinators. Everything was great from the various local tour companies used to the pick ups, the drivers and the Maidith White Cove hotel. I really enjoyed that the same guide was contracted for several days, Edwin was a great time.

This was an excellent tour. Knowledgeable guides throughout. Giant turtle visit and lava tunnels on the first day on the way from the airport were very good. Our plane and another one with two other guests was late arriving ours 3 hours which meant we did not have time to do the Charles Darwin Center with the guide. He offered to do it with us on a different day, but we were happy to go ourselves twice in fact. The Tortuga Beach tour was fine, but we could have done that ourselves. The best part was the boat tour, including swimming with the giant turtles - amazing. We visited Playa de la Estacion close to hotel ourselves and saw even more marine life, including sea lions, swimming among us.The tour also included a really great hotel Maidith White Cove, which was first class with great owners managing a really lovely property, who were happy to help in any way possible. We wanted to extend our stay by 3 more nights, before we went to the Galapagos - and to add extra days to our hotel stay but you viator were unable to tell us the hotel name - which meant we booked elsewhere and then had to cancel costing us a cancellation fee of 60. This was the only blip - and the fact that your customer service is generally VERY slow and not brilliant. But the tour was brilliant!

The tour is fast, but gives enough time to appreciate the raw beauty of the islands, the kindness of islanders. The hotel was clean, had excelent basic utilities, good air conditioning, it felt like a boutique hotel. Our hostess Andrea gave extraordinary good service, she truly cared about the quality of the visit we were experiencing. The tours provided a basic glimpse of the beautiful fauna and flora that is preserved, and the free day allows to do an extra tour. I highly recommend to book one for Seymour. The snorkeling on the Barges? beach was unbelievable! The cost of this extra tour makes you realize how great value Viator provides with the hotel and the included trips to the islands.
