OMG what a great experience! Our flight was cancelled a few times due to cloud cover however, we finally did it when the sun broke through. I have to say the whole crew at HeliServices were amazing from the ground team to the pilot. The views are stunning and to think in a few minutes you’re up in the snow. An absolute must if your in Frans Josef. Thank you all for the best experience ever!

Wear enclosed shoes and a warm jacket. Our pilot was very nice and answered our questions easily. The views of the glacier were amazing.

A good glacier intro. It’s a short flight with 10 minutes on the Glacier. If a full Glacier viewing is what your after, choose on of the longer trips.

That was INCREDIBLE! Dion was an awesome pilot and the experience was jaw dropping! My only regret is a didn’t book a longer one! I went for 30mins but I could have gone all day!

This was an experience of a lifetime. All staff are highly professional and we received plenty of information about the glacier during the ride. Landing on the glacier was surreal and we were allowed a good amount of time to wander about. We booked the 9am flight and were lucky to have a perfectly still, cloudless day.

Check-in was easy and fuss-free.
Weather was superb! It rained the night before and cleared up just in time for our flight.
Recommend to go in the mornings (for Dec period).
Nice souvenir pic at the glacier (printed on the spot) albeit need to pay ($20).
Would've loved for it to be a longer flight!

Learnt a lot about the glacier and history. The snow was soft and fluffy under the crust and it wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be. Awesome experience. Highly recommend.

The cost of operating helicopters is not a cheap option unfortunately however we put great efforts into safety in our operation for all passengers and staff and only fly when conditions are safe and value for money with great views. Additional Department of Conservation fees we incur for landing in the Westland (Tai Poutini) National Park and government compliance costs do unfortunately add extra cost. I am please your first time helicopter experience was so amazing and thank you for your comment on our friendly crew. You will have some very memorable pictures from your experience.
