Itinerary

Following pickup from your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu, board your vehicle and head for Iguaçu National Park with your guide and tour group. Once you reach the park, jump in to an open-top electric wagon that drives through the jungle’s rugged roads. As the verdant rainforest whizzes by, listen to your guide point out varieties of natural flora like centenarian trees, bromeliads and orchids. Keep an eye out for the bird and animal life that is everywhere in the rainforest. Disembark the vehicle for a short hike down a hidden trail that ends at a beautiful 65-foot (20-meter) waterfall and refresh yourself (hike is optional). When your jungle ride is over, board an open-top off-road Jeep for a small drive to make your way down to the pier. At the pier board an boat headed upriver for spectacular, up-close views of Three Musketeers and Devil's Throat Falls. The boat maintains a relatively slow speed, which allows you to photograph and film the surrounding scenery. Prepare to get a bit very wet, since the mist from the thunderous water creates an almost-permanent heavy raincloud at the base of the falls and the boat may go underneath a waterfall. At the conclusion of your 2 5-hour adventure exploring the falls by land and water, return to your Foz do Iguaçu hotel for drop-off.

Worth the trip but don't have high expectations.

John_D, Jun 2021
The falls were fantastic. Beyond imagination. I highly recommend it. The boat ride was less than expected. Very short, maybe 20 minutes and didn't get close to the major falls. Not close enough for good pics. We just went up close to a really small water fall, about 3 meters wide, to get wet. Jungle ride was short and not very interesting either.

Response from Host, Jun 2021

Dear John. thank you for your feedback! We are glad that you enjoyed the Tour. Falls are indeed fantastic and unforgetable. This period , we are going through a drought and this directly influences the tour as to the allowed proximity of the falls thank you and count with us for your future travels

Before that trip I made another one with a very good guide, so this time I was a little disappointed. After we had to buy our tickets one by one she only rode the bus with us silently, then gave us a map to show us where to go and left. Sice we had to ride the big bus when we arrived the place was totally crowed and we had to wait to even begin to walk down the only trail there is. Later she waited for us to tell us to get in line for the bus that will get us to the offroad and boatride. Once again we sat in the bus and she somewhere else without saying a thing. Later on she bought our tickets which she gave to us and we went our way. The truck ride with about 30 people or more on it was nice. At the boat station we could decide wether we wanted the wet ride or the dry one. Do the wet one. You get close to the Musketeers, though not really close to the devils throat.

Katrina_R, Apr 2018
I think the title of this tour is very misleading - the off-road jungle drive is not what you think and is only actually a truck that takes you from the boat landing back up to the entrance, the hike is a very mild 10 - 15 min walk to the boat landing - the waterfall ride was amazing but could be longer and just prepared no matter even if you where a coat you will get soaked.

Holy freakin' smokes. Iguassu Falls is seriously the most epic thing I've ever seen in my life! This boat ride is incredible and takes you right to the action. This was worth the trip to South America all by itself! This tour has great amenities like snacks and drinks and plenty of room to change clothes before and after the boat ride, so you don't have to worry about changing clothes in a little shack. Highly recommended!

Great tour and good way to see the Falls. Only downfall was the guide mainly spoke Brazilian, with little English. Also was told by the guide we had to pay extra for certain entrance fees which later I found out was already included in the price we had paid. Not happy!!

We thought this tour was a lot of fun, and definitely worth the money. I saw a review that said the pancho was a waste of money since you still get soaked, and that's not the case. We were the only ones that didn't buy them and the only ones that were soaked! Really enjoyable trip!

P_A, Apr 2017
We didn't have the best weather on the day we did this, but given we were completely drenched on the boat ride lots of fun, it didn't really matter much. The view of the Devil's Throat from the Brazilian side of the falls is stunning.

I had a great time doing this tour. I only wish one could take their own camera for pictures. But it might get destroyed in the process so it might not be worth it. Awesome time and experience, I loved it!

We had the most amazing experience...

Helena D, Oct 2016
We had the most amazing experience! Our guide picked us up at the agreed time, and after a few more pick ups, we went into the park. First we had to get out and buy the tickets of the general entrance, then our guide and bus was waiting for us in the other side and took us first to do the macuco safari! Our guide went to buy our entrances, and passed us to another guide, and told us, he would be there to pick us up after we were finished. So first we went on the electric vehicle/bus with a park-guide that explained us the main fauna and flora of the natural park. After a while, we got to hike in the forest for a short bit until we arrived at the boat docks. this part was optional but if you are ok with steps, i advise not to miss it, otherwise the bus will take you directly to the docks. Arriving at the docks, we had to pay more 10reais to rent a locker in order to leave our dry clothes and shoes. After changing, we chose the wet tour! and as some comments explains..u get 100 wet! This was the most incredible experience and lots of fun! And the landscape is so beautiful! Good thing i had a towel and a change of everything in the locker since i ended up soaked. After changing, the bus took us back to where our guide had left us, and from there, he took us to the main part of the park, where you have several platforms, that allows you to see the most incredible views over the falls! After lunch, our guide gave us the option of going back to the hotel, or see the bird park just next to the falls park, and that at 5 we would pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. We went into his advise and saw the bird park! It was amazing! We loved it and only had to pay the entrance. At 5 our guide was at the exit waiting for us and for those of our group who decided to do the same, and took us back to the hotel giving us great advice along the way about restaurantes and other places to see : Incredible experience and great day! Wouldn't change a thing!!

This is definitely a must tour if you are in Foz! The jeep ride was very interesting (we even saw the princess of Japan who was there the same day!) and the boat ride was a lifetime experience. Get ready to get wet from head to toes under the waterfalls. The hike was very nice, it was wonderful to see all the waterfalls from different angles.

This tour is a must if you are in Iguassu. It's great fun to go on the waterfall boat ride, just make sure you take with you extra clothe so you can get change after the boat ride. You'll get super wet but it's super worth.

Highly recommend this full day tour. Full view of the hundreds of amazing waterfalls. The guide was very informative and helpful, with good English. The 100% wet boat tour was a great experience and will not disappoint!

Jonathan_D, Jul 2016
Some versions of this tour say it will only last around 4 to 6 hours. Our experience was we got picked up at our hotel just outside of the park's entrance around 9:30 am and we weren't done until about 4 pm, so try not to schedule anything else for that day. For the morning, they give you plenty of time to walk the entire path to take as many pictures as you want and to brave the Devil's Throat walkway. Even if you have ponchos and jackets on, you will get wet from the mist blowing on you, so make sure your valuables and cameras are safe. There are no lockers until you get to the Macuco Safari area just before the boat ride itself. They took us under the waterfall twice so everyone got totally soaked! We had a change of clothes in our backpack which definitely helped. Be warned that your clothes will stink for days because the waterfall water has particulates and other stuff in it. Make sure you use your hotel's laundry services so that the rest of your belongings don't take on the same odor. Also make sure they will actually drop you off back at your hotel afterwards as is promised in the voucher. Several folks had to make their own way back via taxi and we were told to walk back given that it only took 10 to 15 minutes to do so.

Rebecca_B, Jun 2016
Was very disappointed with this tour. Better to enter the park ourselves, to do the walking trail, and then get on a park bus to the adventure area, to do a boat ride. It's way to expensive for what you get.

Jasmine H, Jun 2016
This was by far one of the best ideas for our Foz do Iguacu trip. I'm not one to normally book tours as I usually like wandering on my own and generally can find my way cheaper but this was a great decision. Our tour guide Flavia and Natasha were super great, explaining everything, and letting us wander when we needed. We were able to explore the falls both by land and water. The boat tour was amazing. We literally had the falls pouring on us which was an awesome experience. Would recommend this tour to everyone visiting the area.

I think Brazil has amazing views of the Iguassu Falls. We have a great experience and excellent views. The boat... you never imagine how is going to be this trip!!

Richard K, May 2016
Although our tour guide was very nice and spoke good English, our tour was combined with a Portuguese couple, so her time was split talking, and since she was a native Brazilian she tended to speak more to the Portuguese couple. As for the tour, the tour guide didn't tell you much about the falls, they pretty much just tell you where to go and wait for you at the end of every destination. Also, the price for the tour didn't involve tickets into the park or lunch... But it did for the boat ride. I believe it would've been cheaper to just hire a taxi, buy tickets and go. The tour guide didn't add much, they just facilitate a schedule and provide transportation, and try to upsell you on other options.

This tour is a must! The guide picked us up right on time! It was well organized and the off-road jungle drive, plus the hike and the waterfall boat ride made Iguassu Falls an experience that we would never forget. Seeing the falls from a distance is nice but going under the falls is absolutely amazing! Prepare to get wet and don't forget to bring clothes and flipflops to change after the boat ride! It's well worth it!

Expat with Kids, Nov 2015
Biggest disappointment ever. Totally overpriced nearly triple the price! and no real need for this so-called tour since the attractions are can be enjoyed just as well without a guided visit. My itinerary had been booked with a SURCHARGE for pick-up on the Argentinean side of Iguazu. After having received confirmation via e-mail, the voucher stated I needed to contact the tour operatior directly in BRAZIL myself to organise pick-up whereupon I was informed that the pick-up from the Hotel Sheraton on the Argentinean side was not included in the Viator ticket price. Return transfer from Argentinean to Brazilan side would be 120 US dollars extra! To their defence and after personal phone calls to Iguassu, Rio and the US we received a private guided tour without extra charge who was charming. The Macuco safari boat ride is a real thrill and worth doing if you don't mind getting soaked. Lockers are available 5 BRL on site to keep your belongs dry and safe.

We bought the combo tour that claims to include a jungle drive, hidden trail hike to a smaller waterfall, and boat ride to the iguazu falls. We received 2/3; got robbed of our hidden trail hike. Kept asking the tour guide when the hike was going to happen but she was useless. Not worth the money.

I really enjoyed this tour. Upon confirmation, Gerardo asked me if i am ready to get wet. I told him maybe. So i brought with me my raincoat, yet i also wore swim clothes. I am thinking twice on bringing my DSLR with me during the tour, good thing i didn't since we really were literally wet from head to toe. The water was cold yet we were blessed with a sunny morning in which they told us that it's unusual during those period to have the sun. it was a fun experience! After the safari tour, Gerardo fetched me up at the gate and told me they will have lunch and if i wanted to join or if i would like to take some photos along the waterfalls while they are having lunch, and i opted the latter! i have ample time to go to the bridge and take some very good photos of the waterfalls. Highly recommended!

Trip was great the Falls are amazing the boat trip was a blast. The off-road jungle drive was so so, mostly because we didn't see much but trees. Be prepared to be drenched on the boat ride. There is NO getting around it. Some were smart and brought flip flops and an extra change of clothes in their backpacks. I'd recommend it. I'd also recommend bringing a poncho. The Falls hike was amazing - self guided, which I didn't expect, but it was ok. The park is pristine, and the facilities at the end of the tour were clean and worthy of a stop.

Jean D, Jul 2015
Unforgettable, thrilling, the best! The only detail that was not made clear at the embarcadero was that we should leave our shoes in the lockers before getting on the boat, but after a little hairdryer play that afternoon the shoes sneakers were fine. I would recommend this combo tour to anyone who wants to get the full experience of the Cataratas.

Unforgettable experience for me...

MAN FUNG K, Jun 2015
Unforgettable experience for me. Since a TV crew did shooting, interview and introduction of the Falls in my boat, my boat ride lasted for almost 1.5 hrs, normally 20-30 mins. It's incredible. I also highlight my tour guide, Ivete. She took care of me privately as I'm the only Eng-speaking tourist.
