This was the best Viator tour EVER! Nathaniel was prompt, cheerful, full of stories and it was especially interesting because he included some of his own family history. That you for a sweet experience.
An excellent experience sharing past and present information, providing a detailed picture of the changes to Fort William from a family passionate about their home.
Nathaniel and his mum are an amazing double act. I appreciated Nathaniel soldiering on through his cold to ensure I got the full tour.

Great walking tour of Fort William with Nathaniel. We didn't stop at anywhere for too long, and Nathaniel pointed out both past and recent history of the town. Lots of little facts, supplemented by photos on his phone. Clearly an incredibly knowledgeable and confident person, and absolute fair play for the initiative of this young man to plan and hold these tours!
This tour was exactly what we were hoping for as first time visitors. Nathaniel and his Mum provided a relaxed and informal tour packed with info, a perfect introduction to Fort William. Highly recommend.

This tour is a Fort William must-do! Nathaniel and his mum led us along a leisurely tour of the High Street, sharing interesting historical insights along the way. They are both delightful and lovely to chat with, and in addition to learning about the Fort William history, we were able to ask them questions about life in Fort William and Scotland in general, which was very interesting. Learning about the area from true locals is the best way to go, especially when they're so much fun! Thank you both!

Meeting locals when you travel can be difficult, but is by far best way to learn about a place. That’s exactly what you do on this tour, and it was a wonderful way to spend time learning about Fort William. From the early days through to modern times, you learned about the local history by actually visiting key sites. And of course, Nathaniel is a fantastic host! What a special young person he is. He and his family are the perfect local experts who will give you the insiders view on the town. This is a very special experience, meeting such terrific people. Absolutely highly recommended!

A great way to learn about the history of Fort William’s High Street. Nathaniel (age 15) was very knowledgeable. His mom accompanied us as well, and both were a delight.

We were met by Nathanial and his mum and it was a really enjoyable morning. Easy walk around the high street, learning the history of Fort William. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. We were two older adults, but I think kids would enjoy it as well.
Our walk about with Nathaniel and his mom was outstanding. We got to learn about Fort William and enjoyed a personal experience filled with good conversation.
We learnt so much about Fort William’s history! A great little tour ( although we were out for a good hour), taking us up the High st and pointing out old buildings and fine details you’d miss without a bit of local knowledge.
Nathaniel and his Mum happily met us despite the appalling weather conditions ( a storm warning was in place with an awful lot of rain and high winds) and shared their in depth knowledge of Fort William and answered all of our questions ( we asked quite a lot!)
They even accommodated a last minute change of time to try and get a lull in the downpour ( kind of worked…..it wasn’t quite so apocalyptic)
Definitely best to get a tour with a local and it was just us , so an added personal touch. We would thoroughly recommend Nathaniel’s tour! 🙂
