Wonderful tour guide, but poor experience overall. First, and I'm unclear if this is the fault of Viator or Mohamed Mala Tourism (tour operator) but when I booked this tour (weeks in advance), the booking portal allowed me to select a pick-up location at my hotel in Sharjah from a pull-down menu. The evening prior to my tour (and once it was past the time I could get a refund) I was notified that I could not be picked up at my hotel and would have to get myself to Dubai. Next, the driver seemed unfocused; there were obvious communication issues between the driver and the guide about drop-off and pick up locations within the tour, which resulted in lost time, which was an issue since the tour began almost a half hour late. Once the driver started to drive away without all of the guests (there were only 3) and the driver stopped him. The tour was listed as a 5 hour (approximate) length, and I had to leave for another appointment after five and a half hours. At that point we had not gotten to almost half of what was supposed to be included. We did not get to the Dubai mall, Dubai fountain, Dubai ice rink, nor did we go anywhere near the Burj Kalifa, where we were supposed to have a photo stop. And one location (Aquarium at Aquaventure) was closed, which should have saved us time. The places we did visit were wonderful and the guide was great, but this tour operator did not deliver what as promised, so I cannot recommend them.
Although the guide and the driver are very nice, we felt being cheated by the tour provider. The actual trip did not do anything on the original itinerary that required an admission ticket. For instance, it did not do monorail ride thru Palm Jumeirah, it did not give entry to View the Palm Jumeirah, and neither did it do Atlantis Lost Chambers Aquarium at the Aquaventure World. We purchased this tour because of its specific itinerary which the tour company did not fulfill. Very bad!
They changed the itinerary on us but didn’t inform us. It was vastly different. When they picked us up we didn’t realise the itinerary had changed until we were on route to our first stop the mosque. We asked to be taken back to our hotel as they were arguing with us about Bri g informed. They informed someone with a different name to us, we don’t know them but not us. They refused to take us back to hotel even tho they had their manager on the phone. They threw us out of the vehicle on a 35 degree day and said catch a taxi. I’m 63 and hubby 72. To refuse to take us 15 minutes back to the hotel I thought was downright cruel with no customer service what do ever. I asked for a refund but only received 50% refund. Never again will I book thru Vistor or this dodgy mob in Dubai. We were traumatised by this and thought about reporting it to the police. To be scammed so badly then thrown out then not fully refunded has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

We aren’t scammers and we are operating since 2012 and it’s extremely rare to have unsatisfied customer. You have booked a city tour basic option which doesn’t include entry to attractions and then you requested entry to the city highlights which weren’t included so the guide explained you that you need to pay extra for that since it was not included, you have refused to pay and refused to continue the tour and tried to stop the whole experience for other participants too so the guide had no option but to stop you from continuing with the tour as your behavior made other participants uncomfortable and they started complaining .

Horrible the tour operator cancel it. I need the money back. A person text me less than 24 hours and I was in my flight from JFK to Dubai. I asked many times to credit my money and the person says to contact Viator. I say that there’s a policy of 24 hours of cancellation so because it was less than 24 hours there will be no refund. I’m so mad since I just stay 1 day in Dubai and this makes me loose time. I hope that Viator do something about this. The operator name is Walk in Dubai. The reservation was under Josue correa name. I need a response as soon as possible. Thanks.

A really great whistle stop trip round the sights of Dubai. Beautifully led my Francis who was utterly charming. A really fab day out.
When the title says must see attractions, it is clear that you will only see the attractions, for example the Burj Al Arab you will see it from a very long distance more or less 1.5 km, same thing with the Burj Khalifa you will see it from the fountain on the Dubai Mall, you can do the same driving in your own car or using the metro system, but the use of the transport and organization that the Tour company has, adds to the use of the time, be sure that the tour is is in your language because i had to help the Tour guide because there were a family that only spoke Spanish and the company did not provided the tour in the language they requested and I had to help the tour guide Seef translating to them.
Seef was very nice and had a lot of knowledge, the timing was good to go and see all the attractions (just see them) if you want to go to any of them you need to dedicate time for each one.
You can interact in the spice market or in the gold market but beware in these places they will try to take advantage of you.
Super trip from start to finish, Francis the guide was very informative and the drivers were all very friendly.
Francis, our guide, imparted a lot of information about the UAE, Dubai, its history, and everyday life in Dubai.
Seef our tour guide was great! He covered all the attractions listed on the itinerary! He was very informative with all the places and had great knowledge of Dubai’s history etc. He was also easy going, friendly and patient! Lovely experience! I would definitely recommend booking this excursion if you are visiting Dubai for the first time!
Highly recommended! We had a great time with Francis, our guide. He showed us around Dubai, giving us a taste of both the modern and the traditional world. He was very kind and helpful, explaining us the history as well as the norms in Dubai. Great history lesson as well as fun sightseeing. I would suggest booking this activity for the first day of visiting Dubai, so that you can see a little bit of everything that Dubai has to offer and adjust your schedule accordingly. We got a pickup directly from the cruise terminal and the driver really helped us to find him there. We changed to a larger van at the blue mosk, where we also met our guide Francis from Cameroen. He told us all about the mosk and the religion and in between the stops he explained a lot about Dubai, the culture, the politics, and we could ask any question. He had a funny way of answering and his English is good. We did all the stops as promised and even got some extra with picture stop at Burj Khalifa and a short boat ride. The snack was good and we got enough water as well, included. At the end of the tour we where dropped off again at the cruise terminal. Great service and VERY good value for money.
Excellent tour with a friendly, organised and knowledgeable guide, Francis. He knew so much about Dubai, and he knew just the right amount to tell us about everything. Loved it! Had been to Dubai before but really glad I did this tour on my second trip there.
I will NEVER! Ever purchase another trip through this vendor. The description of the trip was false advertisement.
Francis was a good guide. The tour was comprehensive although it started late. We were able to see many sites.
Tour seemed somewhat disorganized.We booked an English speaking tour but the final hotel pick up details were received in German and we then had to wait at the Blue Mosque for 30/40 minutes for the English speaking guide to arrive.
The information provided by the guide was not always easy to understand
There were long distances between the various highlights and the bus sometimes appeared to be retracng it's route
It was very good! It was very interesting, besutiful and you can see the most interesting parts of the city
All the stops were great. We covered a lot of attractions in a short time. Our guide was good, however, I would have liked an overview of the day’s itinerary before we started. In addition, I felt he needed to be more assertive when telling people return meeting times when given free time to look at the spot. Invariably, he had to go find the same 2 families (8 people) who completely ignored the time to be back making the rest of us lose time waiting for all of them.
The tour was amazing. Very nicely organized, first the easy pick up, second they had abayas in the mosque so easy to change and enter. The tour guide Francis is the best! He took some great photos of us, he is very funny and has many fun facts to share, super kind and friendly. The spice market was also incredible. The whole experience is amazing. Thank you Francis for being so awesome. We learned a lot about Emirates and it's culture and history.
The tour was very comprehensive and lot to see, luckily our tour guide Anas Nasr given us a very patient explanation, from history to geo, from economics to lifestyle, very much appreciated.

The only one reason for me to give only 3 stars is that the company change the itinerary without our knowledge. They advertised themselves with picture of Burj Khalifa and Dubai. That was also the main reason we booked it and we came to Dubai ,but in the fact we didn`t go the at all !! What a shame! Its like going to Paris and not seeing Eiffel Tower.
It is the best tour for seeing and visiting in 4 hours the most important places.We were lucky to have Francis to explain and inform us with details

I was privileged to have Francis as our tour guide for a half day new/old city tour. He is a great tour guide. Extremely patient, funny, very knowledgeable and we even got to sneak in an extra photo stop. As I was a single traveller, and it’s my first time in Dubai, I was very sceptical to what I would get out of it, and the tour absolutely blew my mind. I would have no hesitation to anyone keen to do a tour with Francis as your guide. He’s great.
Souks were authentic and interesting. Most other stops were simply for photo taking. Would have enjoyed more interactive experiences
Our small group explored the main sites and areas of Dubai. Wonderful experiance and with Local guide FRANCIS , we were able to get a really good Insight into daily life in Dubai. He was on time, very organised and had great knowledge. 10/10 For our guide & Driver.
This tour was just right: neither too short nor too long. We got to see Dubai‘s most iconic landmarks in less than 6h. Francis, our tour guide, presented the history and culture of Dubai in a fun, interactive way and gave us useful tips on how to buy saffron and other spices. My friend and I had a lovely time.
