This tour gives a glimpse of what the real Dhaka looks like. Bappi with Dhaka Tours is very helpful, friendly and a nice guide to go on a tour with. He brought us on different sites with historical significance and we saw the real Dhaka when we went around the narrow crowded alleyways of Old Dhaka riding numerous rickshaws. It was an interesting experience and recommended if you only have a short time in the city.

I had an amazing full-day Old Dhaka City Tour with my guide Bappi, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Bappi was incredibly kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He shared so much about the history of Old Dhaka, but also about daily life and his own personal story, which made the experience feel very meaningful.
Throughout the entire day, I felt very safe and well taken care of, even in the busy and chaotic parts of the city. Everything was well organized, and the local food, rickshaw rides, and boat trip were great highlights.
Bappi was always attentive, helped with logistics, took great photos of me, and made sure I had water and food when needed.
This tour felt more like being shown around by a friend than a standard tour.
I will remember this day and our conversations for a long time.
Highly recommended – especially if you want an authentic, respectful, and safe introduction to Old Dhaka.

Came solo to Bangladesh with no expectations. Bappi made my 3 days here some of my best days of traveling. It did not feel like we were on a day tour, it just felt like we were friends exploring the chaotic city of Dhaka. I tried so many crazy foods that I never would have tried on my own, and got so many local insights as we explored the city. I had such a great time on this tour in Dhaka! The guide was amazing, super knowledgeable, friendly, and full of interesting facts about the city and its culture. He took me to so many cool places, including a local spot for delicious biryani and some traditional sweets. It really felt like experiencing the real Bangladesh. I also felt safe and comfortable the whole time, which made it even better. Totally recommend! ☺️☺️☺️

Great day old city tour in Dhaka. Bappi, my guide, organized pick-up at my hotel and we spent great day walking around and driving in ricksha. He is from Dhaka, loves his city and he is excellent and knowledgeable guide. We had long talks about everything and he gave me good overview of history, but as well present Dhaka and Bangladesh.

If you’re planning to explore Old Dhaka, I can’t recommend Nahid enough! From the moment the tour began, his professionalism and local expertise stood out. He has an incredible knowledge of the area and its rich history, and he made sure to include plenty of hidden gems that I would have never found on my own.
Nahid curated an amazing itinerary, taking me to the must-visit landmarks while also uncovering tucked-away spots that showcased the authentic charm of Old Dhaka. Also, we took a boat ride to Azan Manzil Palace 👌🏻
What made the experience even better was the food! Nahid made sure I had the best culinary experience, stopping every 2-3 hours at the most incredible local restaurants. Whether it was street food or classic dishes like biryani and kebabs, every bite was a highlight of the trip.
His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and deep connection with the community made the day unforgettable. After the unrest and all of the negative media coverage, I had very low expectation for this 1-day trip in Dhaka. But it appeared to be a sweet surprise. First of all, Dhaka was very safe. People are super friendly to foreigners. Many street people asked my family for photo together. Secondly, although the city has very poor infrastructure, cost of everything was at 1-2 dollars range. The river cruise is a must-try because it will give you the strongest impression if Dhaka. You must also try the rickshaw in the chaotic street. The best way is to travel with a tour guide. Finally, Bali was definitely the best tour guide you can count on. He was very knowledgeable about every corner of the city and provided me a feeling of safety. He introduced us to his favorite dessert shop which was the night of our day trip. Make sure you plan plenty of time on the road because there highly unpredictable trafffic jam. We stayed at Le Meridien at the airport due to morning flight which proved to the right choice.

I have lived in Bangladesh before, but wanted to show the city to my husband, who was visiting Bangladesh for the first time. We had an amazing day touring around Old Dhaka with Baapi! He is very knowledgable and experienced, we thoroughly enjoyed our day with him.
Through this tour you will get a glimpse into the local way of life and you’ll get to experience the vibrant and colourful culture along with delicious tastes and beautiful sights! It is a day to remember and definitely one of the highlights of our trip! I’d also recommend this tour to expats living in the city; Baapi will show you hidden gems (like a teahouse in a 300 year old building) you won’t find by just visiting Old Dhaka yourself.
