Recognized as Best Homestay at the Bangladesh Tourism Award 2026 and approved by the Bangladesh Tourism Board, Charubala Homestay offers a personal experience of rural life in Juri. For four days and three nights, our 11-member Hindu joint family welcomes you with traditional Bengali hospitality and home-cooked meals. Ride a pedal van along village lanes, passing farms, tea gardens and rural landscapes. Spend time with tea-garden families and Indigenous Manipuri and Khasi communities, learning about their traditions, food and daily lives—including the Khasi custom through which family lineage and inheritance pass through women. Walk through the Patharia Hills, feel the mist at Madhabkunda Waterfall and, when conditions allow, cross Hakaluki Haor by wooden boat. Charubala is a simple family home, not a hotel. Local guides, drivers, cooks and community hosts help shape the journey, so your stay directly supports the people who share their culture and knowledge with you.

Sreemangal is famous for its tea gardens, which are spread out over miles and provide breathtaking views. Local accompanied guide will show you beautiful tea gardens and you can get to learn about how tea is grown. You will be offered guided hikes in the Tropical rain forest where you can enjoy the natural beauty and learn about the different wildlife species. Another highlight of this tour is the Lake of lotus, a serene body of water surrounded by lush greenery. Surrounded by rolling hills and forests, Madhabpur Lake is one of the most pristine lakes in Bangladesh. The crystal clear water of the lake reflects the greenery surrounding it, creating a magical sight, especially during the monsoon. Nature lovers, photographers, and adventure enthusiasts who appreciate tranquility, serenity, and natural beauty can spend hours admiring the lake's picturesque landscape.

Experience Durga Puja, one of the most sacred celebrations in Bengali Hindu culture, from within the community that brings it to life. Charubala Homestay & Tours welcomes a small number of international travelers into our rural Hindu family home in Juri for three days and two nights. Share vegetarian home-cooked meals, neighbourhood gatherings, worship, evening arati and cultural activities. Travel by local van through rural villages, visit Puja temples and see how decorations, rituals and customs vary between communities. On Vijaya Dashami, experience Sindoor Khela, the farewell procession, Bisorjon and Shanti Jol with guidance from your host. Visit a tea-garden community and a Manipuri Hindu village, learning about their traditions, food and daily life during the festival. From the traditional welcome to the final family farewell, this journey offers a rare and meaningful connection to rural Sylhet. Guests are welcomed not simply as visitors, but as part of the Charubala family.
