Wonderful and vivid. Tales from a man who was there to see it all happen. Plenty of opportunities for photos and to take it all in.

Michael Collins provided a unique perspective from someone who lived thru "The Troubles" personally. Knowledgeable and interesting... I learned so much while enjoying a walk thru Derry. Highly recommend!

I'm very glad I made the time to do this tour. My guide, Michael, was local and very knowledgeable. He provided insight and context to The Troubles in Derry, that went beyond what you see in a museum. He also helped me to understand the nuances of what made the situation in Derry unique. This was a highlight of my trip!

Our family of four learned a great deal about the recent history of Derry and Northern Ireland from a knowledgeable local guide. In spite of a very cold day and snow showers, we really enjoyed the tour and the opportunity to better understand the nuances of what some refer to as ‘The Troubles’, or portrayed as religious-based violence, but which was and is related to inherent power imbalances and a reluctance to grant equality.

I had the best tour with Mickey. I was by myself and took the train from Belfast for a day trip. It was a cold day and just me on the tour and Mickey was wonderful. His stories and perspective was captivating and he was very welcoming. A must do in Derry!

Michael gave excellent historic and current information about Derry on this tour. There was so much that I did not know about the city of Derry. I will recommend visiting Derry and this tour to all of my family and friends traveling to Ireland.

We really wanted to take the black cab tour in Belfast but our plans changed. We were so glad we booked this. Our guide was so informative and a great storyteller. He is knowledgeable about the area and the history of the troubles in Derry. It was a very moving experience, one of the highlights of our trip.

My tour guide battled the rain to walk me around the historically rich, devastating, and powerful events of Derry. He patiently went through every site and even gave his own memory of many of the heroes from Derry. I would definitely recommend this tour. It gives you a beautiful perspective of Derry, apart from its sites.

Our guide was from here (good) but made no attempt to balance his extreme political bias. By the end he was trying to convince you that Bobby Sands was a political prisoner and Che Guevara and Cuba were good and Northern Ireland was in sympathy with them. Yeas the British committed atrocicities in Ireland that were completely uncalled for. However the IRA was no saints. Bobby Sands was in prison not as a political prisoner but because he orchestrated a bombing that killed 4 people including 2 children and wounded 19. He was a murderer. He must have missed the history lesson where Che Guevara murdered people and Cuba was famous for having political prisoners. The history of Ireland is unique and worth being told but with a more sane and balanced perspective.

I booked this tour for myself, wife and daughter. It was great. Our guide (Michael) seemed to know everyone in the area. He did a great job explaining the area. It was very worthwhile.

Michael was an excellent tour guide. Explained Bloody Sunday, why it began, where it was. Explained each mural. Easy walk.

What a great introduction to Derry and the political unrest and uprisings in recent history. Michael is a local guide who grew up here during the unrest. His knowledge of the area had us hanging on to his every word. The Murals are beautiful and a reminder to never forget the events that unfolded in their streets. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Michael

Why a fantastic tour with Michael he insight to the conflict was very factual. It identified the impact that false media reports can have on a conflict
