Great small group tour all very informative and the guide outstanding knowledge only a small area of walking so really is suitable for all involved . I came fully educated
We heard from Noel, a first-hand account about Bloody Sunday. Except the minute details were so perfect, and his experiences so multiple, that much of it was probably fake - particularly his 3 beatings in one day from the security forces.

Great tour. Our guide was the brother of one of the men killed on Bloody Sunday. Loads of information and great narrative. Thoroughly recommended.
Interesting, informative, educational and emotional. Our guide Noel was excellent, and being able to speak from personal experience brought a guided tour to a whole new level.
Really informative and interesting. Our guide Noel was from the area and was there at the time. He was so knowledgable on events you couldn't get a better person to lead this tour. We travelled from Portrush just for this tour as it was recommended to us and I am so glad we did. If you are in Derry or are thinking of visiting then do not miss this.
My wife and I went on a deeply moving and thought provoking walking tour of the Bogside by our guide John whose brother William, a 27 year old journalist and film maker, was one of the 13 people murdered on Bloody Sunday, 30th January 1972. He described in detail the events of that tragic day and the relentless campaign he and other family members of the victims of Bloody Sunday have sought for justice. I recommend this tour and also a visit to the Museum of Free Derry which is a fitting memorial to the victims of Bloody Sunday.
Good informative tour but not great. Very, very hard to hear our guide as you are battling traffic noise. We would have given this tour a higher score if there was a microphone or similar used. Lots to learn about and what we did hear was interesting.

Incredible tour and our guide’s personal story made it even that more meaningful and moving. Without a doubt, do not miss this tour
It was a cool, rainy day, but our guide did a fantastic job. He was thorough and detail oriented. He did not rush the tour because of the drizzle and mist and that was appreciated. The tour was a good experience and gave us a deeper perspective into the area and the Troubles.
We did the tour with John. The tour last just over an hour.
John was very informative and passionate. He had lost his brother during Bloody Sunday. The tour was very moving and we both felt very emotional listening to the events on that day. Its horrible to think about what had happened in Derry and to the people of Derry and their families during the troubles
It was heart rendering listening to the experiences of the people from the Bogside while the British army murdered them. Let justice prevail and may God give them the strength to continue their fight for justice!
The experience was excellent. It was quite something to be given the tour by someone who was there during the years of the Troubles, someone who had personal experiences of British brutality and who clearly still has deep ties with members of the community (one simply had to pay attention to how many passersby said hello).

This was a brilliant tour - so interesting to learn about Bloody Sunday and the horrors of what happened. Our guide, Mickey was awesome and spoke so well. Best tour we did in N Ireland.
This walking tour was so educational and our tour guide Neal provided colour by being present during Bloody Sunday. We had only heard the side of the story provided to us by the media. This tour is so worth the stop. Very insightful. Thank you Neal.
He was incredibly knowledgeable because his brother was killed during that day. He has been involved in all the probes and will be at Soldier F's trial beginning 15 September 2025!
Spectacular! It brought tears to my eyes! Our guide's brother lost his life on Bloody Sunday, and the way he related the happenings on that day was emotional, and heartfelt.

Guide lived through the event. He was very nice and had lots of info. I think we do not need every single name of people hurt or killed, it was over 50 years ago, and it is a waste of time for us but I realize it is important for the community to remember them.

This is an excellent tour. The tour guide was born and lives in the bog area. He really had expert and extensive knowledge of the events described. He answered any questions we had and still kept the tour on time. This is a must for any history lover.
I had the honor and privilege of having John McKinney as my tour guide. John’s older brother William McKinney was one of the victims of the Bloody Sunday. Having this experience inspired me to become a member of the Bloody Sunday Trust. Thank you again John, for opening up to us. I pray that your family receive justice at the trial in September!

This was such an impactful tour which covered the history of Bloody Sunday and the Bogside. A tour you must take if you are in Derry/Northern Ireland.
The walking tour of Derry with John was a great experience. We were a small group of 6, John was able to share is personal story; his brother killed in the Bloody Sunday 1972 riots, and their fight over the next 50 years for justice. John shared the reality of life in the bogside, the tension points that led to the troubles and the civil rights movement that was the vehicle. It was a great experience

John brought the whole Bloody Sunday tragedy into perspective especially as the brother of a 27 YO who tried to help a fallen person. He became the voice of a family’s route for justice Even more importantly, John explained how Bloody Sunday is a historical event that mirrors so many contemporary fights for equal rights
