Following hotel pickup from Darwin in the morning, board your air-conditioned coach for the roughly 1.5-hour drive southeast to Corroboree Billabong. En route, listen to your guide’s narration and visit the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre, which boasts splendid views of the Mary River Wetlands. Touch-screen educational displays provide an introduction to the coastal wetlands ecosystem.
Board your boat, and take a seat under the full-length shade canopy of your open-sided vessel, which cruises the calm waters of Corroboree Billabong during a 2.5-hour journey. Your guide points out abundant birdlife such as jabiru, ibis, brolga, jacana, egrets, herons, kites, sea eagles, whistling ducks, and magpie geese (among the more than 30 different species that inhabit this area).
Keep your camera or your binoculars on hand to capture sightings of saltwater crocodiles that often sun themselves on the banks or swim stealthily by.
Your boat tour includes a picnic lunch on board. Enjoy prepared salads and sandwiches, and replenish your thirst with cold drinking water available throughout the cruise.
After the wetlands and wildlife tour on Corroboree Billabong, return to your coach for the return trip to Darwin, where your day trip ends in the evening.

Kudos to Evan our bus driver, guide, waiter, horticulturist, ornithologist, botanist, comedian and generally a fantastic guy. He was so informative and interesting in explaining Aboriginal culture, bird and crocodile habits and lunch on the boat was great. Highly recommend this tour to EVERYONE!

A great outing. Saw wild buffalo, crocodiles, many birds - geese, ducks, sea eagles, kingfishers, etc. Great scenery on the billabong and Mary River. Cameron gave excellent commentary, safe driving, provided a substantial picnic lunch, captained the water vessel, etc
Adequate stops. pick-up and return to our accommodation.

The billabong varies so much from day to day and with warmer temperatures the crocs prefer to be in the water. We are sorry you didn't see more crocs but are so happy you had a great tour :)

Best ever tour. Would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone. Picked up at our hotel, which was so convenient. Our tour guide was Evan and he was amazing. Such a nice bloke and so full of knowledge, you can tell he loves his job and working in Darwin. He was so helpful and kind, funny and good to get on with. The tour was great from start to finish, nothing too much trouble for Evan. He pointed out so many things in the billabong and Fogg Dam and if you couldn't exactly see things he took the time to actually pinpoint what to look at. 100% would do this again and thoroughly recommend

Great day out. Evan was informative and entertaining. Made sure everyone was well looked after. Lovely cruise loads of birds and Crocs. Delicious lunch supplied by the Corroboree Pub. Recommended if you want to see the natural flora and fauna of the wetlands.

Lots of fun and very informative tour. Our guide Meatloaf knew something about everything. Managed to see quite a few crocodiles and got some great pics.
Lunch was pretty average, but the trip made up for that.

It was a fantastic trip out to Fogg Dam and the Corroboree Billabong with a very knowledgeable guide- Evan. I would absolutely go again. Evan had a huge amount of local insight for both the adventure we were on and the locations. We got in really close to the animals whilst remaining in the boat and Evan was a great Crocodile spotter. If you have the time, you should absolutely give it a go!

We had a great day with our guide Evan! He has a lot of knowledge and experience about nature, wildlife and history. During the trip he is very enthusiastic and tells about both Darwin and all the things you see around you in the bus and on the boat. We saw plenty of special birds, like Jabiru and white-bellied sea-eagle. He put a lot of effort in spotting both salties and freshies (crocodiles), and we saw multiple! The lunch was also good, eating some bread/meat/salad while watching all the birds around us. We had a lovely day!
