Tour itself was nice, also good transport & kind driver to the place. Great sunrise and view + visit of the monesty. Walk is also pretty doable. Up on the mountain its quite cold. But you can rent blankets. Generally its quite a touristic activity with many other groups, but this is also fine if you know beforehand
Only negative part is that the guide itself did not do any storytelling. He really only guided you up. Zero information about history of the place or anything so this was sadly a bit dissapointing with that regard. Not shure if other tours do better here..

Worth every steps!! It was a very peaceful experience, and the view is stunning!! I definitely recommend this when you are in Dahab or Sharm.
I went at sunrise but there is also an option to go at sunset (I think it would be too hot in the summer for my liking). I went in September and I was wearing a t-shirt and sport pants and I didn’t feel cold at all. I also brought a hoodie and a cotton scarf just in case and I’m glad I did because we had to wait for about 2-3 hours at the summit before sunrise, and when you’re not moving much, it’s a bit cold because of the wind. I would say it was probably around 12-14 degrees Celsius compared to 39 degrees in Dahab during the day. If you’re going in the winter, be prepared to experience some snow the guide said. In the winter it’s below zero Celsius at the summit. I hope this will help!

The experience was good. Except the price. There were 14 people in our group and all of us booked different prices. Which is 50USD is way more expensive than the other. Average price is 1000EGP which is only 21USD. You can just walk in and book at any tour shops in Dahab. If you wanna pay 2.5 times more than other people, book now!

The guide was very helpful. Couple of group members struggled to climb the infamous 750 steps in pitch dark, the guide was always onhand to assist them. The climb was treacherous and it's not for the faint hearted. Once on the top, the view was amazing!

Mohamed was great guide and made sure we were safe, comfortable and warm during the trek up and the wait for sunrise. He also helped us secure a good spot so we’d have perfect view of sunrise. It does get very cold so I recommend bringing warm clothes and making use of the mattresses and blankets they sell at the top.

For people who come from SEA like me, the weather at night is freezing cold, even it's in summer. Please be prepared, or you can rent a blanket from locals. The trail is easy to walk or even run.

The driver picks you up and drop you off at your hotel. Activity reserved with Viator (46€), but you can find it way cheaper by reserving with your hotel (25€). In both ways of reservation you’ll be with people who reserved with different platform. Mandatory Equipment to take : head front light - walking shoes - very warm jackets and gloves.

Van seats were a little small, the guide was not an english speaker but a bedouine, we just followed his steps on the climb. The view was great, freezing up there, very warm clothing needed. Coffee and tea is very expensive there.

We travelled with a big group, and did exactly the same tour, but some got it way cheaper. Furthermore, the bus was to full and the tour guide was saying nothing at all. I really want to get value for the amount of money

I would recommend the private tour, that way you can do it at your own pace and have a nicer car. The view front the top of the mountain is breath taking gorgeous! So worth the time and lack of sleep, make sure you pack extra clothing because it´s freezing at the top of the mountain.

The 3.5 hour 2AM trek up Mount Moses was an experience. It's a race against the clock to hike to the top of Mount Sinai before the sunrise..we made it with 10 minutes to spare. That moment is truly an experience. Our guide was more of a sheep herder, with his main obligation to get our 15 people group to the top of the mountain in tact and before sunrise. My future recommendation would be for the guides to explain more of the history of both Mount Sinai and St Catherine's Monastery. Overall, it's a must-see if in the Sinai area!

It’s amazing! The most beautiful thing I have seen in my life. It’s quite difficult to walk for about 1h30/2h00 in the mountains and then you have 750 more steps to climb, or 1h more to get to the top.You have to wait outside in the cold but you can rent a blanket for 200EGP, you can do the first two hours of camel walking for 1000EGP. The toilets at the different points on the route are at 20EGP. You have to have change. When transport drops you off you can negotiate a poncho for 200EGP and gloves for 100EGP. Attention no vending machines in the area. I recommend eating too and water, without being too loaded. Our guide Mohamed was great and he made us all amazing individual photos.

Mooie wandeling, goed te doen als je sportief bent en fantastisch uitzicht boven op de berg.
Jammer was dat je in een groep zit met verschillende snelheden, waardoor je heel veel moet wachten bij tussengelegen theehuisjes op de mensen die wat langzamer gaan. Als de groepen ingedeeld kunnen worden in verschillende snelheden, kan je zo 3u minder onderweg zijn.

Der Fahrer sowie der Guide wahren unglaublich freundlich. Die Tour war sehr schön. Nur die ständigen Angebote der Kamelbesitzer waren gelegentlich recht anstrengend. Aber auch sie versuchen nur zu überleben. Es sei ihnen verziehen. Als alleinreisene Frau habe ich mich permanent sicher und wohl gefühlt.

Kurzfristig gebucht, sofortige Bestätigung und direkte persönliche Kommunukation - das war super!!
Pünktliche, zeitige Abholung und flotte Fahrt im vollen Mini-Bus. Der Fahrer bot alle Tricks auf, um an den vielen Kontrollen (sehr hohe Sicherheitsvorkehrungen) zügig vorbei zu kommen. Das hat bestens geklappt und wir waren sehr zeitig vor Ort (sehr gut und wichtig, wie sich noch herausstellen sollte).
Trotzdem parkierten dort schon einige grosse Reisebusse und man konnte den zu erwartenden Ansturm erahnen.
Erstmal wurde man, noch im Bus sitzend, von unzähligen Verkäufern bestürmt. Welch ein Glück, dass ich mich hinreißen ließ, noch schnell billige Wollhandschuhe zu kaufen - im Nachhinein unvorstellbar, die Tour ohne Handschuhe zu überstehen.
Es ging auch gleich -um 0.30 Uhr- mit dem Gruppenamen "Dahab" los. Der junge Führer trieb die Gruppe zügig hoch und wir gewannen schnell Höhe. Für Trainierte kein Problem, Untrainierte schnauften. So holten wir andere Gruppen ein. Zwischendurch kurze Verschnaufpausen bis zur ersten Rast. 10 Minuten, Kaffee oder Tee, dann die Rufe "Dahab, Dahab". Warum? Die vielen Menschen waren im Halbdunkel (zum Glück war Vollmond) kaum zu unterscheiden. Weiter gings; andere hatten wieder überholt - es wurde voller und lauter... Einige Idioten hatten Musik auf Handies laut gestellt oder Speaker im Rucksack plärren - grauenvoll 😡. Ich dachte nur: "Moses wird sich im Grab umdrehen." Also: schneller laufen und überholen.
So ging das mit drei Pausen. Als ich von oben ins. Tal hinab schaute, erschrak ich, was sich da noch für eine Menschen-Karawane hochschlängelte; zu erkennen an den winzig tanzenden Lichtern von Taschenlampen.
Eine Minute stehen bleiben und schauen war schon zu lang - es pfiff ein eisig böiger Wind, der unter die Haut kroch (und ich hatte 3 Hosen, 3 Oberteile, 2 Jacken, Schal, 2 Kapuzen an...) Erschöpft und durchgefroren erreichten wir gegen 3.30 die letzte Station unterhalb des Gipfels. Dort kauerten in der halboffenen Hütte im Dunkeln schon ein paar eingemummte Gestalten. Ausruhen, Tee trinken, frieren. Eine Stunde lang. Gegen Leihgebühr gab dicke Decken zum Umlegen (darum blieb ja auch die Tür offen, durch die es eisig reinzog ... 😉) ALLE nahmen eine Decke. Es blieb kalt. Eiskalt. Dann 04.30 Uhr: "Dahab, yallah, yallah." 30 Minuten Gipfelsturm, steil hinauf über hohe Felsstufen. Ich brauche erstmals meine Stirnlampe. Die schwere Decke schleppt jeder um sich gewickelt mit. Der Eiswind bläst unerbittlich. Das Herz pumpt, Dir springt der Puls raus, aber stehen bleiben ist nicht - die Kälte ist unerträglich. Der Führer bringt uns über die Kuppe hinweg ein kleines Stück auf die andere Seite. Wir zwingen uns zwischen ein paar kleinen Betongebäuden durch und er klettert mit uns schließlich auf eine kleine Betondecke, die sich an die Granit-Wand des Gipfels schmiegt. Jetzt ist alles klar: er erklärt, dass wir später keinen einzigen Platz mehr auf dem ganzen Gipfel bekommen werden. Und so wird es sein... Zuvor kauere ich zwischen einer Amerikanerin und einer Australierin in Decken gehüllt an der Felswand. Vor Kälte wechseln wir nur drei, vier Sätze. Es wird nochmal eine bitterkalte Stunde draußen in der Kälte. Zwischenzeitlich füllt sich der gesamte Gipfel. Jede Ecke, jeder Stein, überall Menschen... Hunderte!! Du erträgt alles nur noch. Erst kommt das schwache Licht im Nordosten... dann wartest Du nochmal eine halbe Stunde bis eeeeendlich die Sonne aufgeht.
Der Foto-Sturm bricht los. Dass dabei keiner vom Gipfel stürzt ist ein Wunder. Deine Finger sind kaum zu bewegen - Du drückst den Dauerauslöser. Ja, es sieht geil aus. Und: DU hast es geschafft - DU hast es gesehen und erlebt (überlebt 😉).
Aber der Genuß ist seeehr "überschaubar". Denn: "Dahab, yallah, yallah." Wenn Du nach 20 Minuten nicht Gas gibst... also runterklettern, zurück über die Kuppe durch die Menschen zwängen und... zu spät: Voll-Stau. Es ist unvorstellbar - es bildet sich vom Gipfel bis zum Tal eine einzige Menschenschlange. Es ist steil, die Leute sind ungeübt, übermüdet, erschöpft und langsam. Ich springe über Steine neben der Schlange hinunter, Führer fluchen mir hinterher. Ja, sie haben recht, es ist gefährlich und ich traue mich nur, weil ich seit Kindesbeinen Berggänger bin und hochkonzentriert auf Schuhe und Fels vertraue. Bestraft werde ich trotzdem: viel weiter unten, auf dem flachen aber sandigen Serpentinenweg rutsche ich aus, stütze mich Arm und Hand ab und schlitze mir an den scharfen Steinen den Handballen auf. Ich blute wie Sau, hab aber alles dabei zum Verbinden.
Auf dem Rückweg sieht man im Hellen das tolle Tal. Doch trotz Sonne bleibt es kalt. Selbst unten am Kloster ziehe ich die Kapzue wieder über.
Leider ist dann für das Kloster kaum Zeit, weil die Abfahrtszeit viel zu früh ist. Das missfällt einigen. Ich hetze nur durch und ärgere mich auch darüber. Aufs "Klo" gehe ich anschließend auf dem Parkplatz, denn im Kloster stehst Du 15 bis 20 Minuten in der Schlange (wenn's reicht).
Rückfahrt. Pünktlich, wie die Hinfahrt. Zügig. Keine Vorfälle. Alle sind ko. Ich tausche mich ein bisschen mit dem Sitznachbarn aus.

Das Kloster war mir wichtig, es ist Bestandteil des Ausflugs, schade - deshalb insgesamt "nur" 4 Sterne.
Stellt Euch darauf ein und zieht Euch warm an - dann kann ich's empfehlen.
Die Tour würde ich tagsüber nochmal machen - und mit mehr Zeit und Ruhe ohne die Menschenmassen genießen.
