St Catherine's. Living history

This is an amazing place to visit. So much history to be apart of. We travelled all the way from New Zealand to see and be part of this place. Remember to wear long pants or dress to cover your knees and also cover your shoulders. We had the best guide, a local Bedouin man who was great at explaining different parts of the monastery over time. Our driver was good and the van was air conditioned. Sadly we were not provided a few things that were advertised in the tour. Firstly they changed the day of the tour, which we were not advised about Secondly the water and lunch were not provided, which was a shame. This was one of the reasons for choosing this tour. Remember to bring your own water.

Average or below average in everything. Transport car was old and uncomfortable. Guide was a nice guy but not knowledgeable about the history of the place. Lunch wasn't as expected, we were offered a sandwich from a small shop. We were not sure how good the food would be.

Lovely drive from Dahab. Enjoyed visiting the shrine and its history. The musium is worth the $2. Good contact from Hussan at the local tour company.

Het klooster en de kerk is mooi. Ik hoopte ook bij de moskee binnen te kunnen, maar dat kon niet. Een bijzondere plek. De rit ernaar toe en terug was oncomfortabel omdat de bus vol was en ik op het stukje tussen de chauffeur en de gids moest zitten, geen normale zitting. Er was geen lunch en geen water, wat wel in de beschrijving stond.
