We had a great time with Cillian and Allan who were our drivers and guides at the same time. They did an awesome job spotting the langures and giving information about them. We really like taking pictures with our camera and taking our time. They never rushed us, gave us enough time but also told us when they thought it would be best to move on to see more of these beautifull creatures at another spot.
We highly recommend doing the tour, and doing the tour with Allan and Cillian. We also exchanged our best shots afterwards, which was great.

I had an amazing morning monkey watching! My guide Leo was great, he was so knowledgeable telling me facts about the monkeys and we saw even more than I expected. It was really personal as the group was small and respectful to the wildlife because we kept our distance making sure to not disturb them. Leo knew all the potential spots to see them and took amazing photos that he shared with me afterwards, would definitely recommend.

I had an amazing experience on this tour! My guide, Leo, picked me up at my hotel and took me to spot the rare red-shanked douc langurs. He shared lots of interesting information about the monkeys and even took beautiful photos with his professional camera, which he sent to me afterwards. It was such a unique and enjoyable experience, I highly recommend Leo as a guide!

My wife and I took the Endangered Monkeys Watching - Red Shanked Douc Langurs tour today, March 17, 2026, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam.
Our guides, Alan and Leo, picked us up right on time from our hotel in Da Nang. From the moment we met them, it was clear they were genuinely passionate about what they do. Both are excellent communicators, speak very good English, and have an impressive depth of knowledge about the red-shanked douc langurs, and their behaviours, diet, conservation status, and the challenges they face in the Son Tra Nature Reserve. They always had smiles on their faces and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the day.
The tour is conducted by motorbike, which proved to be an excellent way to navigate the trails and viewpoints in the reserve. It allowed us to cover more ground quietly and get closer to the natural habitat without disturbing the wildlife. We were thrilled to spot multiple groups of these incredibly beautiful and rare primates, critically endangered and so colourful with their red legs, striking faces, and graceful movements high up in the canopy. Seeing them in the wild exceeded every expectation we had; it was truly an incredible and moving experience.
Alan and Leo were patient, pointing out the langurs with binoculars and sharing fascinating details that made the sightings even more meaningful. The whole outing felt personal, well-organized, and respectful of the environment.
We cannot recommend this tour highly enough to anyone interested in wildlife and conservation. If you’re in Da Nang, do not miss the chance to join this unforgettable adventure. Thank you, Alan and Leo, for making it such a special day for us.

Fantastic experience!!!! Highly recommend, Alan and Leo were phenomenal! I've never been passenger on a bike before, so I was a little nervous about that, but they drove great and I was super comfortable after a minute.
They were super friendly, very knowledgeable, and overall great guides. They really know the spots and I love the small group setting, it doesnt overcrowd the areas when youre watching monkeys. The langurs were amazing to see, such curious creatures. Can't recommend this tour enough, I went to Da Nang to see the langurs and happy I did this tour, Alan and Leo again were great!

Such an amazing experience that we will cherish in our memories! I was excited for this tour but didn't want to get my hopes up too high as I've read that the langurs are shy and avoid direct contact with humans. However, our guides Cillian and Thang were awesome and were able to point out several groups throughout our tour and also shared some fun facts. We had a fun time with them and the ride and was very enjoyable with great views up in the mountains. We felt very safe and taken care of and Cillian was kind enough to send us some photos and videos that he took.

I was a bit scared about the motorcycle rude, but at the end, with the careful drivers, we were happy and safe. We managed to see 5 langur families, Alan speaks very good English and takes great photos. Thanks to him we have our great afternoon!

Awesome opportunity to leave the joyous hustle and bustle of the city, for a serene and authentic nature experience. See several types of wildlife including 2 species of monkeys. Our guides- Cillian and Alan were knowledgeable and great at spotting the monkeys. Everything- their driving, their ability to spot the animals, their personal care looking after our needs and wants, and sharing information about the area and its flora and fauna- was top notch. The beautiful coastal scenery on the back half was an added unexpected bonus.This is a great half-day adventure that we found to be well worth the price.

I was hosted by Cillian who was a wonderful guide and scooter driver. I really appreciated that he would respect the monkeys, keeping a distance and spotting them from afar o that we could watch them for longer periods. We saw HEAPS of red-shanked douc langurs which was amazing. Cillian was also very friendly, and made a lot of effort to make me feel welcome. Thankyou 😊

This is a once in a lifetime experience in the Son Tra mountains. You will be met by the most knowledge and lovely tour guides and motorbike riders we had the absolute pleasure of being with Alan and Leo we couldn’t have asked for better. They knew everything about the monkeys and where to find them even taking professional photos of them for us and sharing them with us after the tour - see below. This is not a tourist trap type of tour it is all about the monkeys and nothing else. If you are looking for a no nonsense straight forward tour then book this tour! It will not disappoint

We went for about 3x hours. The guys really were so knowledgeable and helped us find at least 20x monkeys. We were lucky enough to see them jump trees, cross the road, fighting and doing other things
Would highly recommend if you appreciate nature and animals. They even sent us the best photos they took from the day

This was an exceptional day and exceeded our expectations. Travelling with my husband and two younger children, our tour guides were Bin, Brandon, Alan and Cillian. All four gentlemen were excellent and safe riders, and were great in spotting the Langur families. Bin and Cillian especially took some amazing photos and Brandon was so knowedgeable of the species and shared with patience and care.
Riding safely and being in such a gorgeous natural setting, learning about the endangered Langur made for a most memorable experience in Da Nang. Thank you team, we highly recommend this tour!

Cillian was a great guide! Picked me up and dropped me.off at the hotel. He spoke very good English and we stopped along the way and told me much I didn't know about vietnam. Managed to catch a look at quite a few monkeys and still when it started to rain he is prepared with rain gear and all is good!!

The monkeys are a must-see if you visit Da Nang. What a treat to see them in a beautiful area new the city and watch the sun get low over the bay. The monkeys are fascinating to watch. Even if we hadn’t had the good fortune to see 3 different groups, including one family of about 15 including 2 babies, the ride through the jungle on the back of a motorbike would have been worthwhile. It’s a bonus that the temperature in the mountains is about 20 degrees fahrenheit cooler than the city, so it’s a lovely break from the heat.
Brendan was a fantastic guide, and the entire group were so knowledgeable. We learned all about the monkeys and their habitat. I could have watched the monkeys all day!

This is my second time booking this. Great experience riding up through the mountain. Stopping along the way for snacks with Bao and his team. The group is amazing at what they do and have such great hospitality. Excellent English as well so don't worry about communication. Seeing the endangered monkeys was such a memorable moment and I highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Da Nang.

We loved the tour! The guides were Bao, Brendan, Leo, Alan and Cillan. They were all great and explained interesting facts about the monkeys and the forest. We also tried some delicious fruits. We were lucky and got to see a lot of monkeys. Would definitely recommend the activity.
