We want to thank Thalassa tours so much for the lovely experience we had yesterday. Metaxia was so patient with us as we meandered through all of the lovely stops and learned about kefalonia and it's history. The wine tasting experience at vassilakis distillery was incredible. We felt like we were made to be a part of the family and so welcomed. What a great way to spend your time in Kefalonia. So highly recommended!!!

We got to see so much more of this beautiful island than we expected with our guide Dina. She was very friendly and happy to take us to the places we wanted to go to and to stay for as long as we liked at each place. Highly recommended!

This was one of the best excursions we’ve ever had on a vacation. We travel a lot and have done many excursions over the years! Chris was AMAZING! He knows the island and it’s history! He took us to many beautiful places on the island and had everything we needed to make our trip comfortable and MORE! He made sure that we got to taste the local food (almonds, honey, and his mom’s smoked sausage) and wine! He then suggested a local restaurant where we enjoyed some of the best food we’ve ever had! Don’t hesitate to book a tour with this company!! Make sure you ask for Chris!!!

We were a group of 8 who had George taking us around the island.
He could speak hardly any English so we got no benefit from him apart from being a taxi driver which is very expensive at $AUD 220 per person
Do not use this group … we got picked up and taken to our hotel by Kefalonia Tours and in that transfer we learnt way more than a day with George

You visited all the beautiful and famous places of Kefalonia, safely. Sometimes due to the traffic on the roads and the responsibility our drivers have, it is difficult for them to talk continuously, without this meaning that they do not explain everything to you!!

This was not what we expected but we made the best of it. Our guide did not speak/understand English at a level appropriate to be an English guide and didn’t have knowledge of the sights or history - we didn’t need much but she had almost nothing to offer in terms of being a guide. And this was not her fault, the company obviously put her in when I had noted the prior reviews noted their guide Spiros didn’t speak English and was an inexperienced guide. So they said she would be great for us. Turns out she worked in the office and never in the car before. Speaking of the car, it was tiny for four people! All of that said, we decided it was what it was and extended our time at Acron Beach and didn’t have much other expectation. Our guide was lovely and attentive and took an awesome family photo. She was just put in a. unfair position by her company - shame on the tour operator. If you take this tour expecting a driver and not a guide it’s great.

We’re sorry for the two stars review and not making it grateful we just wanna explain in detail what happened that day so you know on behalf of the company the main driver guide had a bad stomach overnight so we had to cancel your trip or try and find another way to do it due to that we had to compromise and find a way not to cancel your trip. Spiros and NTINA was the solution for you to see the island the best way at that point, we’. We’re willing to make up for it if you visit again Kefalonia, you have a free tour thank you so much. I hope you understand on that day. Everything was fully booked drivers minivans and cars. please don't forget our company made no profit on your tour (we had two drivers to show two people the island the island ) and please understand on that day there was 9000 people in total from the cruise ships so it makes everthing very difficult...to handel … our main priority is your SAFETY , GET BACK AT TIME , AND HAVING A GOOD TIME .. Thank you Anastasios the manager.

Wonderful trip with George our guide.
Highlights were the underground cave at Melissani when the boatman and a lovely Greek lady started serenading us! Fiscardo and Assos are truly magical.

This tour was not up to standard. Our driver/ guide was nice, but spoke very little English. I don't believe he was properly trained and did not have sufficient experience for this full day PRIVATE tour that we booked months in advance. This is a Thalassa problem to give us this guide. We took this full day private tour with Thalassa several years ago with an excellent driver so we understand what the experience should be in Kephalonia. It is not fair to the driver/guide or the customer. The inconsistency is unacceptable.

Our guide, Spiros, took us to some fantastic places, including a wonderful little family winery - on Orthodox Easter Sunday. Also a spectacular seaside overlook that I doubt the tour busses get to. We found the island to be beautiful & truly enjoyed the visit.
Spiros is a bit inexperienced & doesn't have a firm grasp on local history - however, he was helpful and pleasant.

Was an enjoyable, excellent and beautiful way see Kefalonia. Local feta cheese with bread and wine was great additional to the amazing views. Was very knowledgeable and keep very hydrated.

We had a wonderful day touring the island with Christos. He was very prompt and took us to all the main sites and also some little gems, if we had time!
He was a very careful driver and nothing was rushed.
We had time to swim and enjoy wonderful Myrtos Beach which was spectacular. Part of the day included time to stop for a cold drink and a wander in Asos and Fiskardo.
At the end of the day we stopped to see the sun go down over Myrtos Beach and enjoy some delicious local cheese, fresh bread and wine, that he had sourced for us.
All in all a very enjoyable day and great way to see all the highlights of Kefalonia. Thank you Christos.

We had a wonderful day on our tour with George. We did this tour as an alternative to the offerings on our Seabourn cruise ship. He took us all over the island and made sure we had enough time at tue end of the day to swim at beautiful Antisamos beach. We also had a wonderful lunch. A truly memorable day. Book this tour! You won't be disappointed.

One of the most beautiful Greek islands! The people are so hospitable. Our tour guide, Peter, was one of the best guides we’ve ever had. English was well spoken. Was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the island. Myrtos beach was amazing! He drove us to a scenic overlook of the beach and took drone footage of us and the beach. And we got all the footage afterwards! He had everything we needed to make us feel comfortable: water, beach mats, beach umbrella. He took us to a wonderful place to have lunch and had us back promptly to the port before our cruise left just with enough time to do some shopping. I hope we will see Peter again someday as we would love to come back to Kefalonia.
