Dimitri was an incredible driver and guide. A native of the Kefalonia with extensive knowledge of the island, he tailored our excursion to what we wished to do, and was extremely courteous and kind. I would highly recommend his tour. He even took us to small locals restaurant in the middle of nowhere to get an authentic Greek meal.

Difficultly booking, email confirmation was sent that morning which gave a different time, eventually got it sorted then received alternative information again. The driver after 10 mins was very uncommunicative, he put headphones in which was a surprise as from previous excursions booked through aviator on other countries it was a wonderful opportunity to learn lots about the area we visited and none of us came away feeling we had achieved that from the half day excursion. One of the party was motion sickness, the roads are windy and mountainous but he drove faster than required and didn’t slow down when we communicated the issue. The trip also said bottled water would be provided but again it wasn’t. Disappointing especially in consideration of our prior experiences of excursions in other areas.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, but we would like to clarify a few important points.
This was a last-minute booking, made while we were still arranging availability. The 09:30 time selected through Viator had not been confirmed by us. We contacted you immediately to explain that the only driver available at such short notice could meet you at 11:30. After communication with you and Viator, you agreed to 11:30 and we accepted the booking. We therefore did not simply change a confirmed pickup time.
Regarding motion sickness, the driver was driving at a normal speed appropriate for Kefalonia’s winding and mountainous roads. Once you informed him of the problem, he slowed down and also suggested that the passenger sit in the front seat, which can help with motion sickness. You chose to remain in the rear, which he respected.
We were also surprised by the comment that the driver was uncommunicative. Our information is that he was helpful, provided information and asked during the tour if you needed anything. He did have to answer two urgent phone calls. Interestingly, when he met two members of your party at the airport the following day, they told him they had had a really nice time.
Regarding water, the driver asked if you needed anything and would have been happy to stop for refreshments had you requested them.
We respect that every guest has different expectations, but we felt it was important to provide the full context for future travellers.

Creating Memories in Kefalonia
Beautiful sites. The cave was awesome but very short. Luckily we didn’t have to wait too long to get on the boat to explore the cave, about 20 mins versus 2 hours that some people may have had to wait.
We had the car to ourselves, and our driver was absolutely spot on with how much information to give us, and how much quiet time to reflect on the beauty of this island.
it’s a beautiful island with lots to see we had a private tour that was perfect. The boat tour to one of the caves was nothing special, but still interesting enough..
Spiros was an excellent local who is very proud of his island. He was happy to show us all of his homeland and was able to beat the crowds at the Messina lake and the drogarati cave. Took us to the lovely cove Kiriaki and Efimia where we were able to have a stroll aling the waters edge. The island is so full of contrasting scenery. So beautiful

This tour was exceptional! We absolutely fell in love with Kefalonia, and Demitris went above and beyond to make our experience so memorable. He truly personalized the tour just for us and accommodated everything we needed, which made the entire day feel so special and effortless. He was incredibly kind, provided us with so much amazing information about the island, navigated some difficult roads with ease, and even took the most remarkable pictures for us! Demitris was overall such a pleasant and lovely person to spend the day with, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to show us around the island. You could really tell how much he cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Absolutely worth the price, and to be honest, this excursion set our standards so high that every excursion we had after this one just wasn’t as good! If you’re visiting Kefalonia, I cannot recommend this tour enough!
We had the best time on this private tour excursion with our guide Panos! He picked us up directly from the cruise terminal. Panos is very knowledgeable about the area. We were able to fit in everything on the agenda (Melissani and Drogarati caves, Karavomilos Lake, Myrtos beach view), and even snuck in a swim at the charming village of Assos. Panos had water for us after we ascended (what felt like a million) stairs at the Drogarati caves. In addition, we made a couple stops for honey & snacks. He was more than accommodating and had multiple plans on how to fit in everything we wanted to do/see depending on queues from the coach buses. It was a pleasure to have him show us around. The cruise ships didn’t offer anything like this tour that included everything we wanted to see. Next time we are in the area we will book this tour again to see more of the beautiful island.
Spiros (our driver) was nice and gave good information as a guide. We were on a cruise with limited time in port, so I thought hiring a private driver would be a good idea — but in hindsight, exploring the pedestrian streets of Argostoli on our own would’ve been sufficient.
My main complaints: We visited Melissani Cave in Kefalonia and paid €40 per person for express tickets, but the experience itself lasted only about 10 minutes — not worth it. The alternative was waiting in line for an hour in the sun. Having traveled a lot and seen cenotes in Mexico and similar sites elsewhere, I’d say skip this one.
The tour was also supposed to include bottled water. When we asked our guide for it, he initially asked if we wanted to buy some, and I had to clarify that it was included in the tour. He then agreed to stop and buy it, though he didn’t seem pleased — he did apologize afterward and said he’d forgotten.
Finally, the tour was supposed to run 5 hours, starting around 1:50 PM. He dropped us back at the cruise ship before 6 PM, cutting the tour short.

Regarding Melissani Cave, the express tickets are an optional service chosen by many cruise passengers who prefer to avoid the long waiting times and make the most of their limited hours on the island. While we understand that the cave may not be as impressive for travelers who have visited similar attractions elsewhere, its popularity and high visitor numbers reflect that many guests consider it one of Kefalonia's highlights.
We also apologize for the oversight regarding the bottled water. It is indeed included in the tour, and once the omission was brought to Spiros' attention, he apologized and immediately stopped to provide it.
Regarding your comment that the tour was "cut short," we would like to respectfully clarify that this was not the case. During the tour, Spiros suggested several additional stops and alternative options to make full use of the time available. However, you indicated that you preferred to return to Argostoli earlier in order to enjoy some free time for shopping and walking around the town before reboarding your cruise ship. In response to your request, the itinerary was adjusted accordingly.
As a private tour company, we pride ourselves on being flexible and tailoring each experience to our guests' preferences. For this reason, an earlier return requested by guests should not be interpreted as the tour being shortened by the driver or the company.

This half day tour was great. We were able to see many sites that we may not have gotten to with a big tour bus. We were able to change itinerary with ease. The island is beautiful, if you get car sick be sure to take Dramamine, the roads are very winding! Would highly recommend this tour!

Dimitris was a fantastic tour guide for us today. He took us to some fantastic spots around the island, lots of photo opportunities and he was more than willing to take family photos for us too. He also shared ots of information about the island and it' history. His communication ahead of the trip was spot on and we enjoyed his company for the time we spent together. Thank you Dimitris for a wonderful trip (one of the best we have had on the Greek Islands and we have done a fair few). 1000% would recommend you!!
Nikos is a native. Knows almost everyone and everything about the island. We took a five hour private tour and loved it. Also a great lunch on the shore (not included). Oh, and a Mercedes limo, to boot!
Mario was a great guide. He gave us a great tour. Took us to an unusual spot when the queue to do the underground lake was too long. Very friendly, very knowledgeable.
We did this tour as a cruise shore excursion with Dimitris as our tour guide. We got to see several beautiful towns and some of the most incredible landscapes on the island. Dimitris was such a great guide that he managed to get us tours of the two caves when there weren’t any lines so we could go straight in without waiting. To top the tour off, he took us to a local Greek restaurant and helped us to pick our meals. Dimitris was excellent and I highly recommend him.
There are a lot of stairs to climb to get down to the cave. Wear comfortable shoes. It is well worth the time and stair climb if you are energetic enough.

Mario was an amazing guide from start to finish. He was a local guide that moved from Athens so he gave us some history about the island as well as other Greek islands nearby. Mario was extremely helpful and was aware that we had someone who had issues with walking. He had a stepping stool available to us to be able to help her in and out of the car. While the Drogarati cave was not accessible, Mario was able to get my mother and father to a seating to wait for the rest of us to enjoy the cave. When it came to Assos, he took us to the village and drove them around while the rest of us got to walk and enjoy our time. Dennis (not really - it was something more Greek) picked us up at the cruise dock and spent half the day taking us around Kefalonia and describing the sites. He had us get an early start so that we could beat the big tour bus crowds to the lake in a cave. He customized our trip to accommodate my 87-year-old mother-in-law to minimize long or difficult walks for her. We all had an enjoyable time. Glad we didn't book an excursion through the cruise ship.

Angelo is FANTASTIC. He picked us up right on time from our hotel and brought us on a gorgeous sightseeing trip of magical Kefalonia. The caves were nice and we didn't have to wait too long for tickets and entrance. Myrtos Beach was stunning.
Our driver, Banos, was right on time and although the pickup point was slightly changed, we didn't have trouble finding each other. He also stopped at most convenient spots for us to get out. And he spoke good English.
All in all we had a good trour.

We can select pick up times but I would suggest the earlier the better as queues at the cave will jump massively after 11:00.
Spent the morning driving to Assos taking in the views along the way with plenty of stops and local info from our guide. You can tailor your drive but give the team notice so you can get your times right!
We did everything we wanted to do plus the extra and just about kept to our time limit. The island is amazing but it’s not all
On your doorstep, you need to explore this amazing place.
