We had the most incredible experience on this tour from start to finish. The hot air balloon ride was truly magical — floating over Teotihuacán at sunrise is something we will never forget. The crew made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time, and the views were absolutely breathtaking!
After landing we enjoyed a breakfast in a beautiful cave, which felt like such a unique and special setting. We also learned so much on the local tour about obsidian and the history of the area, plus we got to taste some traditional liquors — such a fun surprise!
We finished with a self-guided walk through Teotihuacán itself, giving us the perfect mix of history, adventure, and freedom to explore at our own pace.
This tour exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City — it was the highlight of our trip! 🌅🎈🇲🇽✨

The balloon ride was wonderful. The transition from one activity to the next wasn’t always clear but once we got there the guides were good. We booked the English tour but got a driver that spoke none so there was a bit of confusion at times but the tour group was very responsive when messaged so that was good. The guide for the archaeological zone was very knowledgeable and really enjoyed his talk. The breakfast in the cave was just ok but the cave was neat.
The balloon ride is awesome. Cave breakfast is OK and the Pyramid tour is amazing!! The only issues we had was on return the driver told us that he would drop us 10 min away from our hotel by walk due to road blocks in the city for a race but actually he dropped us more than an hour away which left us stranded as we were tired and had to find a taxi and pay quite a bit of money to drop us near our hotel. I wish they should have told us that before our trip so we would be better prepared or had booked for another day
Otherwise the event was Amazing and the guides were knowledgeable and courteous

The hot air balloon ride was absolutely perfect—beautiful views and an unforgettable experience. However, the breakfast was not worth it and could be improved. Unfortunately, my wallet was lost or stolen inside the tour transportation while we were traveling to Teotihuacán, which was upsetting and disappointing.

Good morning. Regarding your wallet, as our hosts mentioned at the beginning, it's important that everyone takes care of their belongings. The van has cameras, but they show that you didn't get on the return trip with anything in your hands. Our company operates with a high level of security and trustworthiness. We cannot be held responsible if you lost your wallet on the way from La Vista to the pyramids.
We regret that the Mexican food wasn't to your liking due to the spiciness of the dish you chose, but we inform you beforehand what it contains, and you can choose accordingly.
Team is amazing, they sent us a cab who came and picked us up and took as to the ride and to see the pyramids. The cab driver was very friendly and helpful, he even took us to bank to get currency exchange. Overall we had amazing experience.

Super cool experience! Our hot air balloon pilot was super attentive, make sure to where warm clothes because it’s super cold. The pyramids were also super great and our guide was very knowledgeable and even though we had limited time he made sure we saw almost all there was!

Very worth it but it’s a very long day! 4am pickup and then depending on traffic and location for drop off you coils be back to hotel around 2-3pm
The guides, drivers, store operators, and restaurant staff were all absolutely fantastic! We could not have been happier with the overall experience.

This experience was incredible and worth the price. Our driver, Nestor, was safe and amicable. The balloon ride was incredible! Going over the pyramids and seeing all those balloons in the air at sunrise was unforgettable. Later our guide at Teotihuacan was very knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. We would do this experience again!
Amazing event!! But above all.. Felix went above and beyond helping yes reschedule after very stressful confusing with transportation. I recommend using Viator for pick up and drop off!!

My friend and I booked this tour the day before so I was a little worried since it was so last minute. I reached out to the company and received an immediate response confirming my booking and further communication confirming pick up time for the next day. Driver was also right on time the next day. Seamless and responsive communication, this put me at ease.
Now for the tour experience, the hot air balloon is a must!! Everything went smoothly, we were up in the sky amidst the beautiful sunrise. The ride was about 40 mins. We were then transported to Xixalba for our breakfast in a cave. No complaints there! Limited selection but food was good and service was quick. Cost of the meal was included in the tour package but bring cash to leave a tip. We then stopped by an artisan shop before we went to the pyramids. Got to try some mezcal, which was absolutely delicious. Lastly, we were given a tour within the grounds of the Teotihuacan pyramids, which lasted about 1.5 hours. We got back to the city center around 1:30/2pm. All in all, the tour ran on a smooth schedule and the tour guide was extremely friendly and accommodating. Great tour, highly recommend!

Note I was slightly suspicious that this wasnt real but this is very much real; incredibly organised and they run a strong program. Everything is so meticulously organised I respect it
I only added Mexico City to my trip specifically for the hot air balloon ride over the pyramids. I had messaged the hostel I was at to arrange this and they told me no problem book when you arrive; I arrive and there’s no spaces. So quick google search to try and find the hot air balloon ride with transport for the next day and I found this one!
I chose the full package which honestly is so so worth it. The driver Carlos was very nice and we had a tour guide called Felix (I believe) who was incredibly knowledgable on the history and was very good. I’ve previously been on tours and didn’t really enjoy them but this was so enjoyable I would come back!
Note it’s around $1200 MX for photos so come prepared (to look nice)
It was very nice and very enjoyable.
Very comfortable too; if you don’t speak Spanish the Mexican people are incredibly hospitable

Our family trip was nothing short of AMAZING! From our early morning pickup with our wonderful driver Carlos, to the warm and professional hot air balloon crew, and our fantastic guide Humberto at the archaeological site—every moment of this experience felt thoughtfully curated and truly unforgettable for our family of five (with kids ages 10, 8, and 4!).
There was genuinely something for everyone on this excursion. Whether you’re of Mexican descent hoping to connect more deeply with your heritage, or a traveler eager to immerse yourself in the grandeur of an ancient civilization, this tour delivers in every way. The hot air balloon experience was completely safe for young children and made this excursion that more special. Flying over for a bird's eye perspective and witnessing the magnitude of these structures is jaw dropping. Then having the tour continue with an up-close, boots on the ground, experience with the ability to climb up the pyramids, is majestic. If given the chance, our family would book this experience again in a heartbeat. We can’t recommend it enough!

It was such an incredible experience, can’t recommend it enough! Transportation getting to and from by the company was smooth, and all the staff was so well informed when educating the group and so kind! It’s an amazing value for the money I can’t believe we did so much in one day. I was personally transported by Carlos and our guide was Humberto - both so lovely!!

Once everything got straightened out we had a great experience so I gave it 5 stars; however, the way the the description was written was misleading and the communication between Viator and the tour group was less than stellar. The ad showed that it included transportation, cave breakfast & pyramids. Even in the notification to send to a friend said that. After booking I noticed in tiny print on the ticket “flight only.” Also, we booked sunrise balloon flight but it turned out to not be available. We had to rebook for a different day. I worked with the tour group directly to get it fixed. Definitely a wonderful experience. Carlos took really good care of us.

Very disappointing
We booked a sunrise balloon ride and breakfast in the cave and did not get either
We were booked to leave at 430 am got a message at 930 pm the night before to change the time to 605 am we were asleep didn’t get the message
We went up in the balloon after 8 am so no sunrise balloon ride
By the time we were ready for breakfast it was 1050 am and the reservation for breakfast inThe cave had gone
So we paid for a ticket to do a sunrise ballon ride and breakfast in the cave and didn’t get either very disappointed
We would really appreciate a partial refund

Very cool experience with friendly staff, but there were some major issues with the advertising. We paid extra for an inclusive sunrise hot air balloon ride and breakfast in a cave.
The first issue was the pickup time. We were supposed to be picked up at 4:30 a.m., but weren’t picked up until around 6:30 a.m. The host mentioned that weather was the reason for the delay, but we clearly saw hot air balloons in the air during sunrise.
The second major issue was the “breakfast in a cave.” We felt misled. We were served breakfast and then shown a cave that looked more like someone’s basement.
There are many multiple companies to choose from, so do your research carefully. I’m sure half of them are great, and unfortunately we got the disorganized version. We saw some families freaking out thinking they are not going to picked up. I cannot imagine what the wives and kids were going through. I would recommend to communicate with the host first before booking. Communication is key.
Overall, it was a cool experience, but we paid extra for something that was not advertised. As a result, we have to give this company the lowest rating possible.

My partner and I really enjoyed this experience. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind journey - floating above the ancient pyramids in a hot air balloon, then having breakfast inside a cave, and finishing with a lovely stop for souvenir shopping. Martin and the sweet lady host (whose name I’m so sorry I forgot!) made everything feel warm, seamless, and incredibly welcoming. I highly recommend this experience to anyone- it’s a breathtaking way to start the morning.
The hot air balloon experience was fantastic. The meal by the cave and the history lesson of that stop was really good. Visiting Teotihuacán was amazing to see but the time was limited to 1.5 hours and honestly needed more times. The logistics of the experience were a little bit of an issue. Many of the other individuals who attended were unsatisfied with what the experience promised and some of the transportational logistics. There also wasn’t a leader of the experience to say and was hard to discuss any points of concern. The poor transportation driver was put in some very bad situations. Highly recommend to make improvements by having a tour event leader onsite for the day to make it easier on customers especially to resolve problems the day of.

It's worth getting up and doing the slog out to the balloons. A wonderful experience and good value for money. We did the all-inclusive tour and booked it the day before for a Saturday. Transport to the site was a little tedious but we arrived on time and were airborn within 20 mins. Captain Chris was terrific, and honestly, it was cool to see his well oiled machine work. Cortland Experiences (Felix) put the package together so were responsible for moving us around from place to place which was great. They stayed in good communication throughout the morning (WhatsApp) and were friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend them, not just because we had a great day, but it was very last minute. Quite amazing really how it was still pulled together.
Amazing experience! Tour was well organized and coordinated. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Our pick up was on time and our driver Carlos was very helpful and made sure of our safety. Felix is a great tour operator and made our first time balloon experience a memorable one. He was very cooperative and made sure we were not rushed. Took lots of pics for us and at the end of the tour gave us souvenirs for our memory if Mexico City! I will highly recommend him for your best experience in town.
