Will and Michelle were just fantastic. We really enjoyed the ride and all the info they gave us. The seats were surprisingly comfortable. Will provided blankets do to the very windy day. I would recommend this tour.

The meet up directions were clear and our trike drivers arrived on time. We were introduced and my husband and I strapped on our seat belts and put on our helmets. He being an experienced motorcycle rider and me not at all. Our guide was extremely competent and talked about the sites as we drove through the city.
We both felt comfortable and continued to enjoy the ride, the countryside and the company of our guide. I would recommend the tour for anyone wanting a fun tour at a lovely place.

The trip with the Trike was a lot of fun.
The excursion went into the bay of the marina and then into the mountains, where the old silver and lead mines were.
Steve, our entertaining driver, has a great knowledge of the history of the city and explained everything to us extremely well.

We were met where the ship docked in Cartagena which was great. The driver was a guy from the Midlands who had emigrated there. We did a lot of looking at military bases and then ended up down a dirt track road to view the appalling living conditions of the Chinese community there. We were invited to get off to get a better view which I refused, this element was justified as making us all appreciate what we’ve got but it smacked of poverty tourism to me. The guides knowledge was pretty scanty and we had a couple of questions were he just didn’t know. The bike was in good condition and helmets were provided but some headsets to aid communication would have helped as it was difficult to hear him when driving. So no, felt it was a bit of a rip off.

In response to your feedback we would like to add the following:
Our guide gave you a choice of tours, the historic Cartagena tour or the scenic mountain tour, you chose the Cartagena tour.
Cartagena is by nature a historic Roman/ military naval city which our guide endeavoured to show you. We believe on the day of your tour you were also lucky enough to see a submarine (with the King of Spain aboard) in motion which is indeed a rare sight. We are sorry you found the sights of Cartagena City disappointing.
The ‘Chinese community’ you refer to is a place called La Algameca Chica. This has never been home to Chinese people but it is indeed sometimes referred to as the Shanghai of Spain. This is due to the unique appearance of the buildings and their proximity to the water. It is also absolutely not defined by poverty.
This village is over a hundred years old and has a very rich cultural heritage, built largely with recycled materials on land given by the military.
Being completely off grid it originally housed fishermen and miners. Over the years properties have been passed down generations with families using them as a unique hidden gem getaway during the summer months.
This is a new location that we are trialling for visitation and I am sorry that we were not able to share with you its unique charm and atmosphere as we intended, I can assure you we would in no way wish to partake in the perversity of poverty tourism.
Regarding our helmets, we do appreciate that at times it can be difficult to hear us. We did try the intercom systems however we found that due to wearing open face helmets there was too much wind noise to make this a good option and due to the heat here close face helmets are not a comfortable option either, we are still looking for a viable alternative.
We are incredibly proud of our reviews, having up until now 100% 5 stars for over 6 years during which time we have had hundreds if not thousands of tours.
I guess it is in the law of averages that eventually we will not meet the expectation of a client but we are truly sorry and somewhat offended that you felt you were underwhelmed and ripped off.

Absolutely fantastic! We had Stephanie as our guide. So knowledgeable, passionate and REAL about Cartagena and Portman. The trike was so comfortable and we felt safe the entire time. I wish there were more tours like this in other ports.

The best way to see so much of Cartagena, Spain. Excellent guide that was friendly, well educated on the area and just a wonderful person. Steve was our driver and made us feel like rockstars. He took all the photos on his camera and then sent them to our email. He is professional and right on time for our excursion.

This was a fun way to explore Cartagena. Will took us around the mountains on Bumblebee and it was a much better experience than being closed in a bus. He was friendly, professional, and informative. We would 100% book this tour again when we visit.

This was an awesome tour! I rode with Stefanie and I really feel that I have gained a friend. She was so friendly! Stefanie and Steve have so much knowledge about their area - it was a blast to explore it with them. It poured rain, we were drenched, but that didn't stop us from laughing, having a good time and exploring the area! (and they had ponchos for everyone on the tour!)

What a day, we set off on an amazing trike with Will our driver. Michelle his wife right behind on another trike. With some grunt under us we were off, the best views ever, they took us through amazing mountains, we stopped at several spots for photo opportunities. We went to an amazing holiday resort with great waterviews. Well worth seeing Cartagena from a different point. A ride we will not forget, wind through your hair and amazing sites surrounding you. Highly recommend this tour.....

Wow what a wonderful day. We enjoyed our ride with Stephanie, who was fantastic as both a tour guide and driver. The meet up went perfect and the tour was just delightful. We would give it 10 stars if we could, but they only gave your room for five stars. We saw such beautiful countryside and the history was explained greatly the best thing it was a beautiful, awesome day sunshine galore thank you Stephanie if we were in town, we do it again.

This was a fun morning, riding the trikes and learning about the mining industry around Cartagena. This was a fantastic outing! Stefanie and Steve were very easy to communicate with. The meeting place was so convenient to the port. The bikes were a great way to enjoy the countyside. Both hosts were so friendly and outgoing, and full of interesting information about their newly adopted home. Stefanie did a great job snapping pictures along the way, and was very prompt in sending them to us. Our only regret is that we didn't know they did 3 hour tours as well - it would have been great to enjoy the tour for a little longer!
