Meet your private guide on arrival at Canakkale Cruise Port and relax on the 30-minute journey to the archeological site of Troy. Then, set out on a walking tour of the ancient site, as your guide explains the site’s long history, which dates back as early as 3500 B.C and includes nine different cities built on top of each other during different time periods.
Hear the fascinating legend of the Trojan War, Helen of Troy, and the Trojan Horse, and learn what the experts believe is truth and myth, as you explore the vast ruins. Along the way, see archeological highlights such as the Houses of Troy I, the Bouleterium (Senate Building), and the Odeon (Concert Hall). Before you leave, be sure to pose for photos beside the 30-foot (9-meter) tall recreation of the wooden Trojan Horse that stands at the entrance to the Troy site.
Back in Çanakkale, there’s just time for a visit to the Archaeological Museum, where various excavated finds from Troy are on display, before being dropped back at your cruise port.

Fantastic tour of Troy and the museum. Our guide was so knowledgeable of all things Troy… told great stories of the various Trojan settlements, and how the changing sea changed everything for Trojans! Fantastic private tour. They met us right at the pier and bypassed the crowds. We saw the horse from the movie then onto the city and the excavations followed by some shopping. The tour guide and driver were excellent and it was rest to avoid the crowds. I only wish the admission cost to Troy was included in the cost of the private tour that would have led to some more money available for shopping.
