A Must Tour

Irena_K, Dec 2025
We learned a lot about the history of Argentinian Jews. About the attacks of 1992 and 1994 in Buenos Aires, visited the memorials, and also visited the jewel of Buenos Aires- the oldest synagogue of the town. It was an emotional and spiritual experience. Thank you.

Fantastic tour of Jewish and secular Buenos Aries

James_A, Nov 2025
Matias Aysenberg is a superb guide to Jewish Buenos Aires but behind that knowledgable and heartfelt about the military dictatorship from the Perons and since. Don’t miss this tour

Great tour by a knowledgable guide

This experience was great...

Courtney_L, May 2025
This experience was great and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. We visited two synagogues, one reform and the other orthodox. We also visited the Jewish museum attached to the Libertad synagogue, and explored the neighborhood of Once. Our tour guide, Matias, was very informative and answered all our questions. We got to see the unique blend of Ashkenazi and Sephardic culture in the city, and Matias even took us to a place that sells (very delicious!) Sephardic food in Once. If you are Jewish or not Jewish, you should take this tour. You will surely learn a lot and have a very good experience! 10/10

Lack of empathy

Martin_S, Apr 2024
My cruise included several land tours. Prior to leaving port I suffered a fall resulting in a broken hip. I was taken off of the ship and sent to a hospital. All of the tours offered a full refund with the exception of this one.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

We are truly sorry to hear about your accident and wish you a smooth recovery. Unfortunately, in this case the seats had already been purchased in advance and could not be cancelled. Best regards, Buenos Aires Tour Guide

Perfect!

Matías was very engaging, knowledgeable, and friendly (and very easy to understand). He asked our preferences and met them. Our driver, Pablo, was safe and steady. All in all, the experience couldn’t have been better - top notch in every way,

A once a year opportunity in Once.

Harriet_A, Mar 2023
I most enjoyed walking around the Once neighborhood, the Orthodox hub in Buenos Aires. And being there on Purim added another level of insight into the community.

Simply wonderful!

Mati (guide)and Manuel (driver)with were just great people to spend time with on this tour. Very informative with a rare opportunity to see spectacular synagogues in Buenos Aires. Highest recommendation!

Wonderful

Mike_O, Feb 2023
Claudia was our tour guide and gave us a wonderful experience. We learned so much about the Jewish community in BA. We toured many sites in a private car.

Tour Guide Dis-organization

Susan_J, Feb 2023
Unfortunately the tour operator kept changing the time on us, and then the tour guide showed up before we were at the hotel, six hours earlier than the time listed. When our hotel checked with them, they couldn't get another guide so the tour operator canceled on us. Very disappointing.

Response from Host, Feb 2023

Hi, As the owner of BA Tour Guire I apoligize for the inconvenience. There was a confusion with the guide and she blocked the morning to be with you instead of the afternoon. When we realized about the mistake it was too late and we couldn't find any tour guide available. There are very few Jewish guides in BA and they are all very busy in high touristy season. Again, I am sorry. We learned something from this mistake and are improving the way we work to avoid things like this could happen again.

Very informative.

Franci_V, Jan 2023
Very informative. And excellent human beings. The guide very savvy in the subject of the heritage of Jews in Argentina. For me was a whole new perspective of this culture. A++

Great Jewish Buenos Aires tour

Sadie_K, Mar 2022
Ariela took us on an outstanding tour. She was so knowledgeable not only about Jewish history in Buenos Aires, but Argentinean and general history overall. She balanced synagogues with other historical sites. I would highly recommend this tour and Ariela as your guide. Go on a Friday afternoon and you'll witness the hustle and bustle before Shabbat as an added bonus while you walk around the Jewish neighborhoods.

Great experience!

Anna_S, Mar 2020
Our tour Guide Mattheos(Mathew) was wonderful. he was on-time. Gave us a lot of information about the City and pretty big size of jewish community. The pace was good for us( We are late 70) There is a big presence of Jewish community in buenos Aires. next day we took a regular city tour and they did not mention anything about jews in the city, and especially about the bombings . What a shame! We are delighted that we took this tour and gave Mat's info to another couple at the hotel. Thank you, Mat!

Great tour

We arranged this as part of our visit to Buenos Aires through our travel agent. Our guide, Elon, was extremely knowledgeable, and we went to the site of the Israel Embassy bombing, AMIA building, the Jewish part of the city as well as two synagogues and the museum. He was our museum guide as well. Don’t miss this!

Our guide, Arielle, is a warm and gracious hostess, welcoming us into her community with not only historical information but personal insights. It would have been nice if we could have had access to more synagogues.
