Itinerary

Begin with pickup at your centrally located accommodation in Blenheim, where you’ll meet a local guide and travel to the first winery of the afternoon. Make the most of your time in the car by learning the basics of the Marlborough wine region’s history, climate, and wines.

This tour is designed for flexibility so the itinerary varies. Visit either three or four vineyards and taste your way through the wines they produce. If there’s a type of wine you prefer, feel free to make requests while booking so the local wine experts can choose the best wineries for your group.

Throughout the tour, the guide shares stories and facts about Marlborough wines, making your tastings as informational and interesting as possible. This afternoon wine-tasting tour concludes with a return transfer to your Blenheim accommodation.

Andy, our guide, was excellent! Very personal, knowledgeable and helpful. We visited 4 wineries, each with its own style and ambience. We weren’t rushed and had time to enjoy our wine.

Poor value for money!

This tour was sold on viator as a wine tour visiting four or five vineyards. We visited three then taken to a chocolate factory. The tour appeared advoc in its visitations to the various locations. Not precooked. The guide Brit was excellent but embarrassed at the level of service we were receiving. Our complaint to the company received this explanation “We do appreciate that you did visit 3 wineries, sometimes to include a fourth would compromise the other experiences, due to some wineries on the day offer extra tastings. It is a difficult climate in the wine region post covid, many wineries are short staffed and have reduced hours. We are reviewing our tours based on the current climate and although we are prebooked we can be canned last minute. Unfortunately we have no control over this.” Basically, they miss sold the product. Be warned and best to avoid as others on the market providing value for money.

I had an amazing time...

I had an amazing time with Marcella and met some lovely people from Thames and Katikati. Marcella kept us entertained with facts and stories about the area. Another lady joined our tour at the first vineyard. A Sounds Connection employee picked her up from her holiday park and brought her to the vineyard so that she could catch the tour. We visited four vineyards which I think was just enough for an afternoon tour and we never felt rushed at any time. The hosts were very knowledgeable and willing to answer our questions about the wine making process. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family.
