Great introduction to Aqaba Culture

Mohamed met us on tie, was chatty and friendly, very proud to be Jordanian clearly oved Aqaba. He was an excellent guide. The tour took us through the markets and the old souk. We met some great characters and ate and drank wonderful coffee, tea, and street food. We sat by the beach at night and relaxed with lemon and mint drink while listening to him talk about Jordan. It was everything that was promised and more. Recommended.

Abed is a wonderful guide. Excellent English language skills, warm, charming, witty and humorous. He had arranged a wonderful foodie tour for us. As all good meals should, we started with something sweet as we strolled to an amazing bakery for a traditional dessert. (Just had to buy a couple of their gloriously beautiful boxes of baklava to take home as well.) I don’t really want to give too much detail away so as not to spoil the surprises you will encounter with Abed. He knows his stuff. He loves his city and country. He is passionate about his food and cultural heritage in equal measures. You will walk through the streets likely to be trodden by locals only, encountering very few tourists. Stopping to sample delicious foods and drinks on the way, supplemented by interesting information both familial and cultural. His friends (food producers and vendors) gave us a warm welcome and the whole evening was a delight from start to finish. Go hungry! Don’t eat first!!
