Itinerary

Meet your driver at your Aqaba hotel or the port and relax as you travel to Wadi Rum by private, air-conditioned vehicle. This vast chunk of desert mountains, valleys, cliffs, and rocks is known for its ever-changing pink-and-red colors, Bedouin settlements, and connections with T.E. Lawrence, also known as ‘Lawrence of Arabia.’

On arrival, enjoy a roughly 2-hour tour by 4x4. Trundle around the canyons and cliffs, and absorb the timeless scenery. See landmarks including the ‘Seven Pillars of Wisdom’ rocks named after Lawrence’s autobiography, and view some of the valley's pre-Christian rock carvings.

Next, continue to the spectacular rock city of Petra, hewn by the Nabataeans along trade routes 2,000 years ago. Once here, meet up with a local guide and set off to explore. Your entrance ticket, and the option to explore by horseback, is included.

Make your way through the Siq, the 1-mile (1.5 kilometer) entrance gorge, and marvel at the magnificent Treasury (Al Khazneh), where it’s believed many riches were hidden. Then, explore Petra's other wonders, like the amphitheater and royal tombs, as your guide shares their history.

Afterward, reconvene with your vehicle and end your tour with a drop-off back in Aqaba.

We had an absolutely great time! The itinerary was carefully planned to provide a comprehensive experience without overwhelming visitors with information, especially about Petra. Our driver, Osama, was very accommodating and knowledgeable as he shared with us his insights about Aqaba during our drive to Petra. Recommended but disappointed with the refund request

It’s a very good excursion and experience is great! The only thing that’s not acceptable is I didn’t get a refund after I modified my ticket from 4 travelers to 3 travelers with no explanation given. Modification was done within 48 hours before the excursion which is within the policy.

This Tour Is Not To Be Missed— Fantastic!

Mahmoud, my driver, was a fantastic, safe driver. He was interesting and easy to talk to. He is s great guide. I booked from the NCL Jade and he came early and got me back to the ship with an hour to spare. Basil, my guide, in Petra was educated in Nabatean culture and could read the language. He was very knowledgeable. I wish he helped more with the other Bedouins harassing us and I was unaware that when we got into the city, he would just leave me there solo to return on my own. The old Bedouin who drove me around Wadi Rum was nice and interesting. It is difficult to get in and out of the back of the truck and he will not touch a woman. I understand; he did say I could sit inside but it ruins the experience. Because I had three guys to tip, I didn’t know, it was hard to keep it even. Please give us a heads up on the trip. Mahmoud really saved me though— he kept me safe and, if I needed to eat or whatever, was always willing to stop etc.

This private tour was perfect from beginning to end. Our driver, Mosaab was the kindest people we met in Jordan and he did everything to make us feel as good as possible. The jeep tour in Wadi Rum was mind-blowing (special thanks to Sami). Visiting Petra was another dream come true. It was definitely one of the best days of our lives.

Osama my driver, my a gem. Very personable and helpful. Guide who took me through the 2 hour tour of Petra was knowledgeable enough but, he had a wandering eye that became distractive. I got the feeling he wasn’t really focused on his client. I skipped wadi rum altogether as I had utilized another guide the day before, so I spent 3 hours touring by myself. I think it was definitely overpriced for the services.
