If you can handle the bus ride, this tour is a must to experience Cappadocia. You MUST experience the Cave Hotel and the Hot Air balloon. These add-on tours are like icing with the cherry on top of a beautiful tour.

Pickups ran throughout the night before the first day and by the time we got to the start of the journey to Cappadocia I had been waiting for/on the bus for almost four hours. Similarly it took hours to drop everyone off at the end. All very boring. We spent less than 2 hours at sights the whole of the 2 days and not everything in the itinerary was covered. Odd trips to jewellery and gift shops were included but not listed in the itinerary. A mysterious 20 euro single room supplement was demanded by the guide who even had the bus go to a cash point so I could draw cash to give him.

Great, but no ballon

It was a nice experience, but unfortunately the ballon didn't flew, because of bad wether. So that was a great dissapointment. The cave hotel was great, but the lunches could be better.

Energetic guide. Great value for money. The activities are a bit expensive in Capedocia but they are transparent about the prices you will pay for extra activities.

Wow what do I say.....I bought the cave hotel upgrade only to find that the ten people on the trip who had booked the basic 3 star accommodation also stayed in the cave hotel at no additional charge! Viator refuse to refund the additional payment of £30 I made for staying in the cave hotel and gave no explanation as to why these people did not pay the additional fee!!!! So it's quite clear there is something fraudulent going on either by Viator or the Tour Company in which I have been the victim!!!! The cave hotel......broken bath, holes in the walls, wash hand basin not cleaned properly and a hair dryer with wires hanging out placed beside the basin. When I complained about the 'Honeymoon Suite' to Viator the hotel staff kept knocking my door when I was already in bed trying to change my room despite the fact I was leaving after 5am on a tour and only there for one night!!!! Shame on them for allocating the sub-standard room in the first place. Food on the tour - bring your own!!! Not worth the money, cold and disgusting. The Tour - wasn't to the itinerary on Viator with visits missed but taken to places for a hard sell, tour guide clearly making commission on sales. Hot Air Balloon - Amazing though not included so the tour company and Viator don't get any recognition other than for taking the €150 payment. My recommendation is to make your own way to Cappadocia, book your own hotel and do your own excursions!!!! I have been completely ripped off and I am so disappointed in Viator and the tour company

Terrible service, poor communication

The sites are all naturally amazing and undeniably beautiful. However, the service is appalling. We were put in a bus full of Russians so we had 2 guides-english and russian speaking. We had to transfer buses 3x from where we were picked up. There was 1 hour delay on pick up to start with which was supposedly at 2.25am and another 2hrs delay as the bus was broken down (i dont know why they dont have a replacement bus). Hats off to the guides and driver who tried their best to fix the issue. However, they made no announcement or reassurance on what was going on and was about to happen until they actually finished repairing the bus. The communication is so poor-not because of language barrier, but the whole programme was all confusing and so unclear. We only had about 15-30mins on each sites because of the delay. We even missed seeing Avanos. We had a total of 13hours bus ride until we got to the sites from when we got picked up. We had to pay extra €40 each for the jeep safari to see the hot air balloons for supposedly 2 hours which we missed because nobody knows who the guides are picking up-they dont have a list of passengers, they were all confused too. Instead, we were arranged to see it via a private taxi for 1hour, not to mention we were late, the sun was already rising and the balloons are already flying by the time we got to the sites. When asked before the excursion, nobody told us which cave hotel we were staying in and we were arranged to have taxi service to and from another hotel to have meals in. The cave hotel was nice but no airconditioning or fan. The temparature inside was quite stable. We had to pay €15 each for lunch but they were nice. Overall, the experience is very disappointing. I do not recommend and I will not be using this company ever again!

We have reviewed our correspondence with you on whatsapp to examine the issue in depth. The tour you mentioned is a 2-day tour. On the evening of the first day you joined the tour, you wrote to us that there was an emergency and that you needed to go to Kayseri airport urgently and get on the plane from there. In the morning of the next day, you stated that you wanted to leave the tour. When we examined our correspondence in depth, you did not mention any problems arising from the tour. In fact, on the morning of the second day of the tour, you signed a document stating that the tour guide and the tour company are not responsible for this situation when leaving the hotel. You did not tell us or the tour guide about any problems with the tour. Can you please tell us exactly what was missing?
